  1. I believe this is an oxymoron. Unibody does not equal truck, of course I think of many unibody "SUVs" are really crossover junk.
  2. Nice, I’ve always had good luck with Blazer 22.

Surprised there hasn’t been much interest, it is OBO.

    Still have this stuff. $2300obo
  5. Too bad it’s going to be wet and cold we could work it out tomorrow, I’m not working but we could check it out.
  6. For the record tires need to be warm from driving, however if it’s done as soon as you come in that’s not a problem. So why are you all about this road forcing? Are you trying to diag a vibration? Road forcing is only going to aid in match mounting or identifying a bad tire, it won’t show something being out of round and every tire machine measures balance.
  7. Most dealerships have road force machines, but I don’t know how to use it
  8. Ok I’ll agree on most circumstances, but when you start advertising something better as your starting speed and then refuse to give it to your existing customers that’s bad business. If I was told I had an old router or something that I’d need to get replaced or something would need done, then just tell me how we get it done and move on.
  9. Most shops have a machine that’s not easily transported. There are small set ups out there but not common at all these days. If you decide to release it just be mindful, the shit isn’t just refrigerant, there’s oil in it and it makes a mess, it’ll also make you sick if you breath it. This may sound like common sense but there’s a lot in there and it can come out fast. As someone who’s accidentally busted a line off while working on a car, everyone has to stop working and air out the shop, and I felt like complete shit and got sick a few times. It’s not to be taken lightly.
  10. My recommendation is to pick the right size for you and build it. There is nothing wrong with a wood floor. We dug down to harder soil and used concrete blocks as a foundation for the floor to sit on when we built my parents. 5 years or so and no issues so far. Concrete slab is nice but it’s just a shed.
  11. Sloppy ass pieced together tin can of a Mustang, I wouldn’t want to go the speed limit in that bucket. These idiots are just stupid. I will say this; street racing is an addiction and these are the worst type, throw some crap together just so they can race and they’re either lucky or dead. I’m an addict but luckily not on that level.
  12. I don't think it has posi, if it does then it doesn't work anymore. It's has a very quiet drivetrain, but if that changes it'll come apart and get one.
  13. Thanks guys. Thinking about stuffing a 6.0 in it and building the L33 into a 5.7 for the Camaro. Freshening the drivetrain in this truck and it really would last a really long time.
  14. So since it seems normal to post your car or beater truck here I wanted to share as well. Last month I had a customer come into work with this truck who decided he'd rather replace it then fix it, and since I have been looking for the right deal on a truck I jumped on it. Bought it from the original owner, even gave me both original keys and window sticker. It's a 2006 Silverado 1500 4WD Z71, nicely optioned, even has the high output 5.3 L33 aluminum block engine, and in overall good shape. It has some rust in the rockers like most of these do, and fixing that will be a project by next spring (something I've always wanted to try, bodywork). I replaced the brake and fuel lines with stainless (what it originally came in for), fixed the A/C, gas door, and a handful of other simple things this guy didn't know how to do. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1000&pictureid=9205 Unlike Clay as soon as it was roadworthy I waxed it, and it came back to life pretty good with a little compounding. It doesn't look like it has 210k miles on it does it?

    It’s LS1 stuff.
  16. Haven’t tried the live stuff through Hulu, but we’ve been using Sling all year without issue. Cut out Directv and haven’t missed it at all. Curious what other live TV services people like. I had YouTube TV for a short trial but didn’t like the channel options as much as Sling.
  17. Hmmm, which car to bring? First world problems.
  18. Can’t read article without a wsj subscription? Lame. Saw something about this within the last few days. I’m not excited, but it’s coming anyway, there are just too many powerful people pushing it. When these things get popular and the cost of insurance prices you out a car you drive yourself anyone who actually enjoys driving will be pissed this is happening. So many potential issues with this technology, I hope it doesn’t happen until I’m dead.
  19. Voltage drop is one thing, if there is any corrosion already starting down the cable it may still work, but for how long? I don’t get paid to make half ass repairs, and this is why any competent technician is going to suggest replacing everything.
  20. No it will not pass tech, any battery relocation requires a cut off. I would think they'd enforce that rule, even the lazy tech inspectors they have out there would probably notice.
  21. Sounds like you should be concerned with corrosion having already spread down the cable. There isn’t any saving that type of stamped steel shitty battery terminal. I know you don’t want to hear it, but you should probably be replacing all the parts involved if you want a reliable lasting repair.
  22. If it snapped off then probably not. When battery terminals are soldered the terminals have a big recess to accept the wire. Something that big will likely be too brittle to stay together.
  23. I think Kerry is writing these dissertations trying to get a doctorate in Columbus Racing. If I read all your posts can I get a bachelors degree?

    F-body T56

A friend at work is clearing out some parts he has collected so I offered to post this up. Really is a good deal. F-body T56, bellhousing, stock shifter, new clutch kit (stock replacement stuff), lightweight flywheel, and a center console top. Most of what you'd need to swap to a manual minus pedals, master cylinder, and a trans crossmember. $2750obo, message me here and I'll get you in contact Trans is supposed to have less then 100k on it, but it has not been used in a few years. Price this stuff out and you'll see this is a fair deal, and that these trans are getting harder to find. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9190 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9193 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9192 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9189 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9194
