  1. Well you will want to clamp the leads of the meter to the ground and the battery terminal some how, because you'll need to let the car sit for a few minutes with nothing on in order to start testing. That'll make sure everything is powered down, make sure it's set on Amps and then you can pull fuses. If the car is already below .010 of an amp, don't waste any more of your time.
  2. What kind of test is that? You should've pulled the negative cable and set the meter on amps to check the draw.
  3. Anybody can buy them, just google it, there are lots of places that sell them. I've heard that they can be set up to scan any car even though they are set up only for GM, not sure if thats true.
  4. That is awesome, "a time out from driving" :lolguy:
  5. This one time some retard was driving with his tires streched really bad to fit on his rims, one tire came off the bead and his car was so low that he dragged the rocker panel on the road. I had a good laugh, he got out of his car and cursed my normal tires.
  6. Does he have the Can-di module? I'm not really interested since at this point I can do almost everything with a MDI, but the Tech 2 isn't very usefull without the Can-di module for newer cars. So perspective buyers will want to know.
  7. Tempting if it'll be dry, I'd like to run the new Miata, but I have no interest in their snow drags.
  8. His ipad and iphone are company equipment, not that it matters. Starkmaster is always carring around a bag of shit for work.
  9. Lol, sorry I missed that. I knwo better then to try and play sports, but I'd like to watch the chaos.
  10. I will agree that it isn't as big of a factor, because the vehicle are already moving, but it is still a factor. The horsepower is still used to haul the weight down the road. I've never liked to car vs bike argument, and most car vs car discussions would have to include areodymanics. So its not easy for me to come up with a good example to show my point.
  11. I'm too slow to make off with the money so can I hold the bets so I can feel baller while you embarass Phil?
  12. Maybe you should pick on the big boys, its easy to win when you're challenging the cars at Sawmill telling them you have a GTP. You're just a big meanie picking on kids so you can feel good about yourself.
  13. Light weight will deff help, but you can usually fit bigger engines, turbos, ect in a bigger car. This is why a vette is such a great roll car, it can make much less power then an f-body and drag it around.
  14. Power, lots of power, and the ability to shift properly, be it an auto or a good driver mod (someone other then Phil)
  15. I have a 10 sec car that will be going 12s next year, and a 14 second car that'll be going 12s. Fo reelzz.

    Tonight?

Would like to, but I'm still salty that I have to work tomarow.
  17. Just because a battery can start a car doesn't mean it has any amperage in reserve. Most people testing batteries are using a tester that estimates its cranking Amps, not something that is capable of putting any actual load on the battery to give you a real number. I'll bet the battery is bad for starters. Testing with a test light between the ground and terminal isn't very acurate, use a multi-meter to see just how much draw there really is. Then I'd also use the multi-meter to see how much voltage you really have when the gauge is reading high. This what GM says about current draw; Most GM cars have batteries rated at 115 minutes, so that leaves the door open to a number big enough to keep a test light on. Also make sure you are testing after the vehicle has sat for a few minutes to make sure everything has powered down. Personally I don't want to see a car draw more then 8-10mA. I bet you replace the battery and its fine.
  18. Why do you keep throwing my car into this? Money spent on having fun is not the same thing as a useless hunk of metal and rocks on your hand. FYI, My wife told me after most of my posting last night that her ring set was more like $2200. Of course I didn't know because I don't pay the bills, I didn't before we were married either.
  19. besides the one major hole in Phil's logic is if she's the sexiest bitch in the room, they won't be looking at her ring.
  20. well by Phil's logic you and my wife must be Craigslist Critters :dumb:
  21. You want the sexiest woman in the place? You also like drama in your life. HOW'S IT IRONY?? Have you seen how I dress and act? I know you have, my wife fits my life. Irony would be your next post saying how you're not insecure when I tell you that needing a woman like that is like needing a loud car so everyone pays attention to you.
  22. You're an idiot. High maintence women are for the birds, be a high maintence man, life will be better. My wife buys me stuff, not the other way around, fuck that noise.
  23. I've heard stuff like this before, every car or even its powerplant has its fanboys. Not saying LT1s are horrible, but dump the same amount of money at either an LT1 or an LS1 and which car is faster?
  24. I know you like posting my picture. I hope it brings you pleasure.
