  1. Did you already replace the brake lines?
  2. I didn't even get past the first segment with Chris Evans and the Viper. Fucking annoying I turned it off. Looking forward to when the Grand Tour comrs out.
  3. The rods are basically the same, so to answer your questions, yes it'll work. Obviously it should be rebalanced. I would try to stay with a stock LS1 bore of 3.898, or close to it. Some people have reported getting close to the coolant jacket on some blocks. I have never done it, but I wouldn't want to create a cooling issue.
  4. Chances are that the little transformaer for the doorbell is attached to teh electrical panel in the basement. Take a screwdriver and unhook a wire. Call the police, maybe they'll at least patrol through your neighborhood. If you really want to be a deviant I'm sure one of the above suggestions will work too.
  5. I bought the Mequiars microfiber DA system when I worked at Jegs's, mostly because I got a good deal on it. It works good for what it is, I made a lot of progress on my Impala with it but it's not quite there. I think a flex 3401 is in my future so I can get a little more aggressive, and try some various compounds and polishes. I really like the Chemical Guys products I have tried, of course I have two white cars and a black Impala so I have only used their color specific stuff, for that I can say I am very happy with their whitelight, blacklight, white wax, and black wax. I'm still up in the air on what I'll use for a better selection of compounds and polishes, but I think all I plan on doing this year is doing a sealant on the cars in the fall.
  6. I find it hard to beleive there isn't a way to turn off the whole box, but wiring to it with it on isn't that bad just don't touch the hot parts.
  7. Really, that's right by my house. So I guess you can stay out of mine.
  8. Cobalt is the slowest thing I got, you might win. :dumb:
  9. Why do you want to street race?
  10. Wow. At first I was inspired, then I was like holy shit, then I realized I was only halfway through. Oh my god.
  11. I would bet money you get something cheap and shitty, thinking that you got a deal and it's cool.
  12. Well I guess your birthday was yesterday, so Happy late Birthday buddy. Hope to see you soon.
  13. I don't know why, but it seemed like she wanted help with her crappy day. I mean who kidnaps and murders in their work uniform, I'm not that stupid.
  14. It's really disappointing that our society is so fucked up you can't help someone. Really short story, I see a car out in front of Ricart with a flat tire. About 100 yards away is a lady carrying her groceries. I pull up and offer her a ride. Now you can tell she wanted to let me help her, but our society is just that fucked up she said she'd be fine and sent me on my way.
  15. Why are you posting about seats while your car is forsale on Craigslist? You need direct fit adaptors if you expect it to be a simple install, Jeg's sells them for your car.
  16. I honestly think crash test standards have a lot to do with the weight on the traditional pony cars, however other manufactures have accomplished these goals with out adding a ton of weight. So is it a case of Detroit automakers being lazy and just adding structure, or something else? I'm certainly not the expert but it makes sense to me.
  17. I'm just glad Chevy isn't letting these things die. All the American car companies need to work on their crash technology so they can handle a crash without adding 1k pounds to do it.
  18. How to get your friends to help build your race car.......just kidding The fun of staging your car, including benefits of deep staging, staggered tires, and how you could potentiallu cheat with your splitter. Tuning your instant center of gravity. Torque arm suspensions. How to run good at both ends of the track. Tire selection. What to do to shed weight and why you wouldn't want to.
  19. Sounds a lot like the starter taking a shit. Most people would call that a dead spot in the starter where it has kind of burned some carbon into it effecting the clearance and resitance. Start with a starter.
  20. Tomarow looks to be a nice day, looking forward to heading up there.
  21. Should've just loosened the toggle bolt to drain it and tighten it back up. What kind of a pan is it? If it's just a sheet metal pan you're fucked, aluminum you might get lucky and tap a bigger hole, but I think you realize that you get what you pay for and need a new pan.
  22. Thanks man, it has been, and continues to be fun playing with your car. I look forward to what else we can accomplish.
