  1. Being that my Dad was driving his CJ7 when I was born and he still has it, I'm very partial to the round headlights. It's willed to me, so yeah it's special for me.
  2. What's wrong with CJ guys? Better then that Chrysler built shit. AMC built FTW.
  3. If you find a shop under $100 hr good luck. Even lash just raised theirs to $95 or so, and they are the cheapest GM shop in town.
  4. As a tech I used to hate this type shit, most GM dealerships charge for both, although they may lead you to beleive different. You weren't dealing with Joe Stanwick by chance were you? He's a genius. Lol
  5. No, I swapped my car from auto to stick so I never had a stock master in mine. Having driven stock f-bodies I was not impressed anyway and skipped it.
  6. I think it bled much easier then a stock master/slave. I have no complaints at all, that's why I put one in my Vette. It's not like it's really easy to mount the stock one so saying it's hard to mount the Tick..meh
  7. I have one in each car, works great. Mine's not for sale.
  8. Shine a light into the resevoir and look for glitter.
  9. I'd be willing to bet there's metal in the fluid, in which case damage has been done to the rack and pump. Replacing both and flushing the lines while apart will keep it from coming back.
  10. The airbags vary seat by seat, but are typically mounted under the cover bolted to the frame. You have to remove the cover and sometimes the foam to get the airbag out. Other seats like those in a new Corvette are much easier to get to given the seat design. So....
  11. This is a good idea if you feel the need, just remember your factory gauges don't work when cranking so just an educated guess on crank time.
  12. WOT when cranking disables fuel injectors on GM cars. As dry starts go, it's still a dry cranking event if the engine doesn't fire. Stop reading too far into it and start it. The only way to prevent a dry start would be to pull the oil galley plug and pressurise the system manually.
  13. Congrats, it's really cool to have your own house.
  14. I've seen good results with the DIY stuff, it work well for the average person. Depends on you definition of average I suppose. It was done by a friend of mine on the last truck I had and it held up fine over the couple years I had it, but I wasn't hauling gravel or anything crazy. Having seen many professional spray in liners done, they are definitely better and superior to the DIY kits. If you need or want that is up to you. If it's a nice truck I'd go pro.
  15. Simple truck, easy to mod. I wouldn't do anything to a 4.8 unless it involves boost. Dropping a 6.0 in it is a direct swap with tuning.
  16. I don't wish death on anyone, but I'm not going to lose sleep over any of this. I take care of myself and mine. I don't know how to solve any of these issues in our country right now, and if you know how, maybe you should run for office somewhere and make a difference. If you have valid points and a logical solution I will vote for you.
  17. Lol. Even if it was directly pointed at me, who is going to enforce it anyway? My cars are technically illegal now, but I don't live in California or an emission testing area so...:dumb:
  18. There was such a swing in hours the last 6 months I worked there, it was 35-60. Best of luck to anybody that goes up there. The people aren't horrible to work with, it's just Johnstown. Are you coming to Jeg's Doug? Or did you find something else?
  19. How do you teach people to have common sense, think outside the box, and improve their situation with said thoughts? Best of luck Wagner, because as smart as you are, getting people to open their mind to those ideas sounds like an uphill battle. Sorry I don't have any awesome ideas to share, just wanted to post my two cents.
  20. All you have to do is simply be mindful of how everything works, where cops like to sit, how most people ahead of you react to cops, and when you do get hit fight it. I have to agree with the story 100%. My last couple tickets were for triple digits where I was just being stupid and deserved it, but I got things handled in court. The last few years I have stopped trying to get away with everything, my biggest change has been to develop some patients behind the wheel so my speed doesn't keep creeping up every time I catch another fucking idiot on the road. I just remember that no matter how fast or slow I'm going there will always be some fucking person that gets in my way. The less I let it bother me, the less likely I am to go powering by them with disregard of whatever else might be going on. I also don't speed as much as I used to.
  21. As hard as it is to open a track these days, just look at that Cooper project, when a track is closing it's really sad. I have been going there with my family since I was 2-3, so I remember when it was more popular. This just sucks, I sure as hell don't care about the fucking soccer practice field behind it.
  22. It's been my observation that the only people who thought Scion specifically was cool was mostly young guys who didn't have the means to buy a new car. This made it pointless not to just call them Toyotas so everybody else would pay more attention. I'm indifferent about it anyway. The FR-S is a fun car (Grant is just salty he doesn't fit and doesn't know what good handling is), but I don't see how the other cars in their line up fit with a "youth" brand other then looking like small shitboxes.
  23. I don't think the C5 looks dated. I personally don't care for all the electronic crap in the newer Corvettes. I don't hate the newer ones but the C5 has a lot going for it for me. Modern performance, just enough electronics to make it perform well, and a design that I think will look great for 20 more years. To each his own, I debated about a C6 with the LS3, but for a little better engine, and wide body of a Grand Sport, I just didn't want to pay for the difference. If you're not at least going to upgrade to a GS then don't bother.
