  1. I have a 14 year old daughter. My wife works full time, goes to college half time, and does the majority of the chores. She doesn't know what slow down means. In a lot of way like that we are complete opposites. Little things can make her happy, and little things just feel like more shit to deal with to me. My daughter is a lot like me, drives my wife crazy.
  2. Not much sparks my interest unless it gets my adrenaline pumping, cars and racing have always down that. Not so much with my job, it was just easy for me to make a decent living at it. I'm a naturally negative person, I need to work on that. All valid points. I hate online gaming, it's worse then watching TV. My back is going to limit me at least for a while on a lot of activities. It's one of the reasons my job might just change, and that is very depressing for me. I've worked at getting to where I am and invested lots of time, and now it needs to change. It's the way I move through life trying to do everything I want as fast as possible, that has left my back broken, my mental health torn down, and my life over. I have said it many times, my wife is the reason I'm here, she has kept my drinking slowed down, kept me from living on the street, and tries to hold my life together when I can't. She wants to go get another second job, mostly because I me. Fuck it.
  3. Warning: Going to sound like whinning. So I'm 35, reached a point in my career where I can't move much higher, and my free time has turned into me sitting on my ass not doing much. The thing that bothers me is that I don't have fun anymore. I used to enjoy meeting up with car friends every weekend, but now it just doesn't happen as much. I suppose people moved on, found other things to do, or maybe they excluded me I don't know. I really enjoyed the experience of street racing, it was a bigger rush then going to the track. Of course as I've grown I have much more to loose and don't do that anymore. I have done most of the things I set out to do in life, sounds pretty sad and it is, I should've set my goals higher. Now I'm just bored and feeling down on myself. I'm working on my career, but I need to find something to get interested in. Something that will get me excited and give me something to work for, something that will be fun. I really hate where I am in life, I hate being so negative. It's really starting to take it's toll on everything day to day. I need to find a healthier outlet then drinking or depression. Suppose I should go back to counseling, but that doesn't seem like a fix to being bored.
  4. Leave it to Trails to fuck something like that up. Glad I didn't go.
  5. Sucks to hear and all too true for many people. I wouldn't be here today if not for the love and support of my wife.
  6. I'm just going to sit at home, get drunk, and not stay awake long enough to see the ball drop anyway. 2015 wasn't all that great to me, happy to see it go.
  7. Many of you may not know David but he's a good dude who takes care of his stuff. It is just a beater but certainly decent cheap transport for someone. Interested in the replacement
  8. I'll give the Buster $8 a month for him to make a few threads, it's more entertaining then Netflix.
  9. They were relatively unchanged from beginnig to end, the interior is a common issue for people with worn seats and door panels but overall really the same car with the same issues from 1997 to 2004.
  10. Sucks that you haven't found the right thing for you, but I'm sure you will. Sounds like Mrs Wagner doing well could give you some flexibility, I hate to admit it but without my wife I would have very few options. Hopefully you find something that really checks the boxes for you and the potential employer.
  11. I'm going to find you a purple crushed velvet suit with matching hat. You should hit up pawn shops on hilltop, seriously.
  12. Yeah, but my Camaro has been paid off and doesn't cost much. I will not ever give that up so that does lessen the shitty feeling of giving up something you really like.
  13. Thanks Wagner. The interior isn't perfect, typical C5 stuff, worn seat bolsters, and the door panels, but it's not bad. A couple nicks here and there. Otherwise in good condition inside and out. I'd call it, interior 6/10, exterior 8/10.
  14. Let me start by saying that I do not need to sell this car, and that I don't really want to. However it just makes much more financial sense for me to let it go. That being said $15000 is my price, and I have a loan on the car so I'm not going to move on price. Anyways, 1997 Corvette coupe, 6 speed, 53k miles, arctic white, black leather, sport seats, memory package. Since I have had it, obviously given the miles it sat a lot, flushed and changed all fluids, replaced A/C compressor, serviced A/C system, all works perfectly replaced tires with Nitto NT555 summer tires, less then 2k miles replaced pads and rotors with power stop pads and Centric rotors, brake fluid flushed to Motul 600 replaced clutch with Monster level 2 ceramic single disk clutch (stock feel rated to 600rwhp), brand new GM slave, brand new Tick adjustable master cylinder This car doesn't leak a drop of anything, and once the mechanicals where all up to my personal standards I did the following, C5 Z06 leaf springs C5 Z06 shocks C6 Z06 sway bars Stainless 1.75 longtube headers by XSPower w/offroad x-pipe Corsa exhaust with tigershark tips custom dyno tuned to correct air fuel ratio, made about 330/330 (I'll have to find the sheet) and I bought a custom fit indoor car cover
  15. It won't ship to you? You have a fucking Mountain Dew tatoo they should send a stripper with all the Mountain Dew swag you can handle.
  16. I would take the money, and when I was sick of it I'd park it at their house. I get attached to things though so if it was something I liked enough to buy I'd love to have an excuse to keep it around.
  17. Wheel bearings happen to every GM vehicle, and eating gas in a big block truck should be a no brainer. I wish the 8.1 was more popular, maybe there would be more info as to them having oil issues.
  18. I would be really surprised if they prep the track. D42 used to do a similar event, and we raced with snow on the track.
  19. I really have nothing to share because a 2500 Avalanche with the 8.1 is pretty rare for a Chevy truck. I have never worked on one in that combination. To the best of my knowledge there shouldn't be anything other then typical mechanical issues to watch out for, I'd be curious if it has the Allison as I know they were put behind that engine in other trucks. It should be a pretty solid truck.
  20. If you want to be able to use a paint gun, or tools that consume lots of air volume, a large 220v compressor is the only thing not going to slow down your work. Smaller compressors won't do much more then fill tires. My air gun works fine at work obviously, bring it home on my (free to me) 20 gallon basic compressor and it will barely break loose 5 lug nuts before the compressor has to kick back on.
  21. Hmmm, doesn't look like much interest. How's the after Christmas crowds? I'm so sick of crowded shit lately. I wouldn't mind getting out of the house I'm bored. Ideas?
  22. Well said. So Merry fuckin Christmas assholes.
  23. Assuming the other guy didn't run faster then yes you would loose that round. It's not that they are going to kick you out, but a way to make it interesting. I'm sure you'll get at least one pass where it doesn't matter what you run, ie time trial. The 20.15 changes at midnight to 20.16, if you didn't catch where that comes from.
  24. I most certainly say Merry Christmas, however only the few days leading up to, not all freakin month long.
  25. Bitch please. I ran it down the track twice, ran 13.3 both times, I ain't scared. You want to do some high speed runs and see who backs out first
