  1. You think that little GTO has something for me, I know 2 of my cars are faster, I'd like to see how the Impala would do.
  2. Maybe, sounds like fun. I would just be taking my Impala if I go.
  3. Have you ever driven one? They are kinda quick, but handle like shit. I mean it's better then a FWD car but that's about it, that chassis is a huge let down for what it was supposed to be.
  4. I'm a big fan of Corvettes, and there is lots of fun to be had in that budget. How about turboing a Miata? Sounds kind of lame but there have been people making good power in that little car, just 200 wheel was fun in mine and I've seen over 300. An STi could be fun as well. In the end it sounds like you want another FD.
  5. I give no fucks, I guess Paul does.
  6. Cordell

    aFe Power

So does that mean you can get Pfadt since they were bought by AFe?
  7. I wouldn't expect many events to be scheduled until March or April, although Ford Owners may be earlier then usual since Aaron and Miller are involved.
  8. I'll be there tonight, looking forward to it.
  9. Even at the dealer the lube tech is lucky to make $10 an hour, so best of luck getting an awesome job there either. So I completely agree with you, and at least at the dealer the lube tech has people he can ask. I've caught our guy doing some stupid shit, he works right next tome, and I yell at him. Pissing off our customers just hurts me because they won't be back when they need major repairs. It's really sad how this business works, because if I did the oil changes the dealer would want over $100 for a basic service, they make little to no money having a cheap hourly tech do it because there isn't any profit to be made trying to be somewhat competitive.
  10. Did you pull the spark plug? What does that look like, go old school and read the plug, rich or lean will point you in a direction. It would be nice to know your MAF readings and fuel trims.
  11. I personally like Buckeye better, it's a nicer place to take my daughter. It's not as noisey, not as uncomfortable since there are no fumes to deal with or vent causing a drafty place. Besides their karts are more consistent and force you to learn good driving habits, they'll slow down if you try to slide it everywhere. GP is fun, but it's not well run and it shows.
  12. E85 has proven to be a replacement for gasoline, may require some work in some cars, but is a very direct swap with tuning. CNG requires much more work, almost reengineering, so I don't see that. If you take GM (obviously I know mostly) for example, a large percentage of their cars are flex, even more require a simple reflash. The spin of ethanol being renewable gives people with old cars an option. Not to mention most of their cars could easily be self-driving, and I am willing to bet GM has prepared for the future.
  13. Get the correct rotory compression tool and check for fucked apex seal. Those also have a variable intakerunner that can quit working, should throw a CEL but you never know.
  14. Not sure I'd believe anyone's time table, but cars as we know them today will change drastically in our lifetime. Car are damn near driving themselves, and battery technology gets better all the time, it will evolve into self driving cars that don't run on gas or diesel. I hate it, but it's true. I'm also thinking that there might be a window of time that converting cars to ethanol will be relevant and profitable. We'll see and I'll try to enjoy it while it lasts.
  15. Welcome Richard, I've had a couple Miatas, fun cars, let's see it. :pics:
  16. Oh hi Grant, still building that dream Supra? Wanna be friends? PS you take the wrong things too seriously, and hold on to things too long. I'm sure the same could be said about me, so make some post about how dumb I am buddy.
  17. I don't care much about ever owning a Ferrari or a Porsche either, the cars in my sig are what I lusted after in high school, now I just need a Viper and I'll have all the cars I wanted when I was 16. I also have the movies memorized I just think you're funny. Maybe you should try one power adder for a while and see how much work it is maintaining that before you think about doing something that few people or even no one has done. If you build an SRT4 with a nice upgraded single turbo that should easily make it an 11 second capable car or faster, and you'll learn really quick how much other stuff goes into a car like that.
  18. So your dream car is a Neon? Two turbos in any configuration on a 4 cylinder DSM is just stupid, good luck getting someone crazy enough to fab that up. Why don't you just use the stock turbo to feed a supercharger? Dude you crack me up, I don't where you come up with this shit, do you just wake up and decide "I wanna talk about building my dream SRT4"? Did you fall asleep watching the Fast and Furious last night, because if this is what it does to you I suggest watching some porn after the movie to clear you head at bedtime.
  19. I have Nitto 555 on the Camaro and Corvette, and for the strret they are good value in my opinion. They wear well, look good, and don't suck to put power down. This is the compromise I choose for tire, if I was doing more racing I buy something else. If I drove the cars in colder weather I'd buy something else. The Camaro does have the 555R on the back aiding in traction and complementing the fronts, also a design feature of the Nittos. Of course these are not as poor of a street tire as say a Mickey that will wear much faster, that is what I used when I raced the car a lot more.
  20. What an interesting way the AFC has shaped up this week. The Bengals, the Broncos, and the Pats are all right on top of each other again. I was really rooting for it to shape up this way, so it's been a good day.
  21. And it's gone, thank you Steve.
  22. Don't see hail marys made very often, it was an exciting 4th quarter and I'm glad I stayed up to see it. Aaron Rodgers interview was cool too, you don't see pro athletes get that excited very often either. You can argue the calls and whatnot, but that was fun to watch.
