  1. The Malibus and G6s were covered under a special policy before, so GM would've fixed it for free anyway, it just wasn't a full blown recall. I'll be curious to see how the actual recall reads, that hasen't been released yet. So good luck getting very far with it until GM catches up with their press release.
  2. From looking at that recal, and I am looking at dealership level information, they are basically reissuing a recall that was already done. So if the cars in question have already been repaired chances are it doesn't even fall into this recall. The media is blowing this way out of proportion as usual.
  3. Must be a deisel, lol.
  4. You are not being clear when you leave it open like that. If you want to set the rules then set the rules, if you can't have your average under the index then just say that is breaking out and an automatic loss.
  5. So what your saying is 10.0 you'll likely win, 9.999 and you lost? As far as the average goes at the end. I don't think we need to worry much about a tie, as even if the time sheet only goes 3 decimal places the chances of a tie are slim to none. Even if the average was identical, it could just be solved by throwing out the fastest time and reaveraging. That would reward the most consitant.
  6. Thought so, just trying to get the info out there so people will know.
  7. This is not a clear answer, either only the final average time, or each individual time matters. The Wagnerism isn't helping to clarify, besides its the person who gets closest without going over in the showcase showdown.
  8. I remember watching Tim and Intense shake down the twin turbo 3800 Firebird, cool to see him still playing with the Pontiac stuff.
  9. Does this cost extra in addition to the track day or just free to those who want to participate in addition to the track day?
  10. So let me get this right, if your 3 passes average average 10.0 in a 10.0 class you'd have the best possible average? Does it matter how you get to that average, I mean can you run 10.0, 10.50, and 9.50? if your average is under 10.0 you lose, or you can't run faster then 10.0 in any one pass? and lets say some one ties with you, how far does the decimal place go? I'm assuming the chances of a tie is astronomical.
  11. Staying organized is the key to me being efficent at my job, so I'd say the tool organizers and big magnets that hold everything in place are a huge difference. I hate working at home because I spend so much more time looking for stuff. Other then that its just having quality tools I can trust not to slip off or break, fucking up by hands more then I already do.
  12. rain maybe a glass of Jameson.
  13. Congratulations, guess you'll just have to play on the water.
  14. I would not own a Trailblazer or Envoy, the I6 isn't horrible, but the things feel cheap and sloppy to drive down the road. A V8 version is a PITA to work on, and yes DOD is a bitch, causes sticking rings and oil consumption on everything with it. I would delete the DOD or AFM on any GM V8 if I bought it.
  15. I'll likely be bringing the Miata at this point, we can line up.
  16. This is a good option for the money if you have to have a boring ass crossover. GM's midsize small SUVs/crossovers suck, a couple the only cars in the line up I flat would not own. I would also suggest the new CX5, very nice and no junk Ford parts falling apart like the bigger Mazdas.
  17. Really like that paint scheme, should be fun.
  18. This, lots of us can help out a beginner. Most of the mods and admin for sure.
  19. Having never driven a Boxster, I would still keep it. I don't see what all the fuss is about a Subaru, it just isn't my cup of tea. I mean wow an Impreza with a turbo, some supension upgrades, and other gagets to play with, because until rally cross gets popular around here or I get hard up for a decent snow toy, the Subaru doesn't even make my list of potential buys. I might understand if we were talking BRZ which is much more fun to drive then a WRX/STi.
  20. I've heard there's been lots of shady shit going on there since long before Lindsey bought it. Subaru head gaskets leaking oil? sheesh, all cars have issues of one thing or another, big deal. You should be glad that's usually the biggest thing to worry about on a Subaru.
  21. Can't they just come up with some new ideas, it was fine when we were teenagers, but that doesn't look any better then the first movies. Some fucker in hollywood must have wharehouses full of old ass action figures he wants to sell again.
  22. Well I hope the guy comes through, it's a good bike, I wish I was allowed to have one.
  23. If you're still looking I'm done with my copy. PM me if interested.
  24. You would get much better results starting with a wheel that's not chrome. I have never seen good results of doing anything to a chrome wheel without striping first. I think you'd be wasting your time, and get much better value to start with different wheels. Besides you can find decent wheels to fit a Miata, either new or used, for a good price. The Konigs on my Miata are not the greatest, but I only have $400 in them new. Start with something like that and have them finished in any color you want. It'll turn out properly, and last much longer then something over chrome. and if this is the case, most of what I said doesn't apply. Though I'm fairly sure I've seen chrome Miata wheels. Anyway you'll figure something out.
  25. I'll just be watching this spring.
