  1. All spoken for at this time, will reopen thread if things change.
  2. Somebody get this trans out of my garage, I'll even give you another 4L60 core. Make an offer all I can say is no.
  3. Okay, I'm good with that. Make sure to remind me a few days prior so I remember it.
  4. Sweet, I'm willing to bet this doesn't take long. With 53k miles it must be in pretty good condition.
  5. Doesn't keeping 4x4 in an S10 with an LS swap require extensive oil pan mods?
  6. Sorry missed that, it's just their 500rwhp rated trans.
  7. Bumpity bump. Someone get this stuff out of my garage.
  8. No the starter safety switch is at the bottom of the pedal travel, the clutch anticipation switch is at the top, it has 4 wires running to it. 2 of which cancel the cruise, the other 2 send a ground signal to the PCM to tell it the clutch is starting to disengauge. It looks a lot like a brake light switch, but it's a normally open and a normally closed switch. GM has decided to discontinue it and all the parts stores I've searched have no clue what I'm talking about. I ordered one for a Colorado yesterday since it's similar so we'll see if that works. I could do without it, but I want to car to operate like it came this way.
  9. Got the exhaust on and took it on a little test drive today, got some bugs to work out in the tune, and I need to figure out what to use for a clutch pedal anticipation switch, but it goes down the road nice. Now I just have to take it easy on it for a while to break it in.
  10. No it will only directly fit LS style V8s, I don't believe the Astro has a seperate bellhousing. If it did you may be able to swap it, but I doubt it.
  11. Yeah it seems like you never get anything done messing around in the garage by yourself. I feel like that everytime I start working on something at home. Let me know if you want someone to come hangout and keep you busy, I can take bolts out too.
  12. Well I'm a speed freak, love going fast. The first time Paul let me ride his YZF600 I really liked it, then I rode Chad's R1 and loved it. First and only time I have seen 180+ was on that R1. Had my own bike and got into some trouble last year (go figure ) wife and I agreed it was best for me not to have one, at least for a while. They are just so awesome with the power to weight, agility, and speed. I miss mine a lot.
  13. Sounds like you've got a cool project starting with your MR2, glad you're going to start working on it again.

and if you want me to remove the clutter from your for sale thread i can

  14. Flexplate and crossmember gone. I have some of the other stock auto parts like the shifter cable, shifter, stock flexplate, stock crossmember, stock steel driveshaft, brake pedal, if anyone is looking for some of that stuff as well.
  15. That looks like a good first bike. Hope you have lots of fun, stay alert because people don't pay much attention to bikes.
  16. Yup, see my forsale thread.
  17. Flexplate pending sale Crossmember gone And you are correct the conveter won't work in a 6L80, it's for a 4L60
  18. I opened this thread thinking it was going to be the white one, thank god its not. Hopefully this means you'll be getting yours sorted out soon.
  19. Thanks guys, I can't wait to drive it. I started it on jackstands Sunday to make sure stuff worked but with open headers I didn't run it long at all. Looking forward to getting the exhaust fixed up.
  20. Well after lacking much motivation the last few months with it being cold and just not wanting to work on my car after dicking with customer cars all day, this weekend I finally made a lot of progress. Started off friday night dropping the rear axle and trans, and getting the interior pulled back from the trans tunnel. Saturday I grafted in a section of floor I bought from another car so the shifter hole would have a factory finished hole for the shifter boot to bolt to. Then I worked on getting the clutch, trans, and rear end in the car. Chad and Mike came over and made all the difference in getting the heavy shit back together, a big thanks to them. I worked on buttoning up some loose ends today, I wanted to see the console installed and it on its wheels so I could feel like I got some stuff done this weekend. Still have a few more things to do, ended up having to remove the exhaust since I couldn't sneak the trans past it. New exhaust parts should be here in the next couple days. A few more interior parts to put back, and I still have a couple wires to repin in the PCM. For the most part it's really close though. Finally back on her wheels. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0488_zps23fcfb28.jpg] Console http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0489_zpsaa5ff43c.jpg Pedals http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0490_zps9e2c502f.jpg
  21. Well I finished up my 6 speed swap today in my Camaro so I've got this stuff that needs to go. I am not interested in making a big fuss about anything, first person with cash in hand. I am willing to meet in a resonable distance, and I am not trying to ship a transmission. First up we have my Performabuilt level 1 4L60, fits 98-02 f-body, however tailhousing has been changed to one from a 2WD Silverado. I changed it because I previously broke the tailhousings on the last 5 transmissions and an f-body tail is about $200, this was $40. The torque arm was relocated off the trans. Otherwise I put this in the car 2 years ago in an effort to make it more streetable, removing a level 3 and 4000 stall for this and a 3000 stall. Has 3-5k miles (I didn't keep track), but didn't drive the car much last year at all. Changed the fluid after the first 500 miles like Performabuilt recommends. Paid $1600 for this thing, lets say $800obo. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0485_zps514762d9.jpg This is a Circle D 278mm 2A converter, 3000 stall, read about it here http://www.circledspecialties.com/p-6-gm-278mm-hp-4l60-ls-torque-converter.aspx It has been a nice converter, it's a a tighter converter as it's really meant for street driving. Nothing but clean ATF through it, the same 3-5k miles as the trans, like new condition. Paid $400, would like $200. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0484_zpsfbb6f9f1.jpg
  22. yes, any and all welcome, so long as it's not a truck or falling apart. The United Ford Owners are some of the easiest going autocrossers out there. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if you've never done it, it's a great place to try it out.
  23. Well finally a good excuse for going to IFO, put me down for whatever car, they're all cool. and I promise to behave.
  24. A custom tune takes time, and needs to have an appointment made. Talking to Dyno Brian about that would be your best bet.
  25. I take it you're just looking for cheap. Derek or anybody in a tire shop can call different suppliers to see what they can get.
