Bump - awaiting response about Baxley.

Well when you have a 2 Crashes and 10 points on your license with an average credit score... that's how it ends.. but fortunately all the stuff (minus the crash) comes off my MVR in 3 months.

Under 18 and first year with endorsement requires a helmet. They put 'Novice Until: MM/DD/YY' on the license when it's printed as a novice motorcyclist which indicates they are required to wear a helmet until that date.

I don't know if those clauses exist currently. I'm suggesting they add them and if you choose to not wear your helmet, you can pay a higher premium.

Or you could choose your type of insurance based on if you wear a helmet or not... if you crash or are cited for a ticket with helmet insurance and aren't wearing a helmet, it's as though you were uninsured. In all fairness to my GSXR, my Honda Pilot insurance is 2200.

But.. what my low side crash didn't do was send me to the hospital or end my life. So I have that going for me

While I definitely value everyone's right to choose whether they want to wear a helmet or not, doesn't mean that it doesn't affect affect us as motorcyclists. Our insurance rates go up because crashes that could have been rather meaningless end up being life threatening or life ending because they didn't wear a helmet. My insurance on the GSXR is close to 2600/yr. Sure, it doesn't help that I'm high risk due to several speeding tickets, a low side motorcycle crash, etc., but I'm sure a large percentage of what we pay in insurance is directly affected by others lack of wearing protective gear. Just my .02 and I could be wrong....

But then you'll have them... They aren't disposable. You'll have them for years to come!

I'm in with a few others. Still unsure if camping or hotel. Camping would definitely be cheaper. Might have to buy a grom to pit around before then haha.

Have fun guys!!! Just got back from the Gap myself. Warning - Police presence was pretty high. Ran from em' once and hit by a NC state trooper another day for 84 in a 50.

Apologies for not showing up to the actual ride. Once I actually cancelled, I didn't look at the weather again as a fear of gross overload. Then I get a phone call at 10 like, let's go meet them at the ride, weather took a change, so I suited up and headed south. Decided it was only a day for enjoying the ride, rather than footage, but I did stop to take a photo through one corner of @whaler @Tonik and @Kruse08 Nice meeting everyone at dinner. That place took forever to get the food, holy cow. and.... we only ordered salads! Look forward to seeing you guys at the fall one! I doubt it will happen though cause rain always cancels this event lol.
