  1. If its a on and off noise than it could just be a bent or warped rotor. Another vote for someone to check your bike before the riding season gets going. It would bother the hell out of me if it was my bike and not knowing the cause. You need to have the trust factor that your bike is going to get you home safe. You are constantly going to be thinking about it when riding, creating a distraction which isn't safe either.
  2. Hillary will rig the polls with email servers and this poll won't matter!
  3. Most likely clogged pilot jets as listed above. Give them a good cleaning. Don't forget to sync the carb when it's back on the bike.

  5. Thanks for the video! I like all of these perspectives. I looked at the chest mount kit and wondered if it would be high enough to see most of the road in front of the bike and not be blocked by the tank. I hear a lot of good things on the Ram steering stem mount, I may look into that too. My plan is to have a couple different mounting points, so I can move the camera around during a ride.
  6. I figured I would throw this out to the experts. I have a GoPro Hero4 Session I got for a Christmas gift. I have never used one of these before. The camera came with a helmet mount and I just purchased a handlebar mount and a bag of extra adhesive mounts so I can get different perspectives. I am pumped to use it this riding season and want to be sure it is ready for the first long ride. What do you prefer, bike mount or helmet mount? Where are the best locations to mount the camera on the helmet and the bike? Also, I read that the camera will record while charging, so I would like to add an aux power cable and keep the camera plugged in so it can be charging while recording. Of course that will depend on where it gets mounted. Thoughts?

  9. I will stick with my 9mm compact and 7 rounds.
  10. When I bought my 04 FZ1 2 years ago it had only 7,000 mi on it and the bike was in pristine condition. I am the third owner. It was a garage queen for a dude with a lot of money between the boat, sports car, and ATVs. The bottom line is I could tell by the condition of the bike that it was well taken care of and the mileage made sense. Whaler found his FZ1 a few years before I wrecked mine with only 3,000 mi on it sitting in a garage. The guy had two bikes and just never rode it much. These are the diamonds in the rough and they are out there! We both got great deals on them too.

  17. Probably a loophole somewhere!
  18. I always used Nevr-Dull made by Eagle One on all my chrome when I had a cruiser. All you need is a little piece and I could do all my pipes. It comes in a can and you pull off a piece like cotton swabs. It cleans out corrosion and stuck on road grime. You can use it on any metal. I also used it on a set of polished aluminum rims to keep them shiny.
  19. Mostly what is stated already in this thread by others is important, but what helped me the most was seat time and many rides with an experienced rider who was willing to critique my riding style at every stop. What I realized was by the end of the ride I found my corner entry and exits were much smoother and I felt more comfortable on my bike. Remember, every bike rides differently, so you need to feel as comfortable with your bike and riding position as possible. Don't ever push the envelope and always ride your own ride!
  20. The ninja 1000 is a fantastic bike! Good choice.
