Guarantee shit like this would happen all the time in Ohio if you lane split. That dude almost got taken out. That's why I don't lane split. Too many asshats get enraged when you go around them, they think they are entitled to the position their in and you basically cut the line. Someone posted a video a while back of a dude who got out of his car and attacked a rider and his passenger over lane splitting. Don't need that kind of stress while riding.

Shot the KelTec and hated the long trigger pull. I think for CCW the best guns are what a few have already stated, Glock 43, M&P Shield, and Springfield XDS. I have shot all of these and I carry the Springfield XDS and love everything about it. I am a Glock fan and really like the Glock 43 as it shoots quite well and is very concealable. The Shield is also a great gun that shoots well, it just didn't feel right in my hand. You cant go wrong with any of these. In most cases you can go to a range and rent any of the models listed above to try them out before you purchase.

Congrats on the house purchase Doc! Now the fun part, waiting on the buying/inspection process to complete and finally moving. On another note, I am glad to hear you sold that beast! I know you have always seemed to question why you bought it to begin with, which basically says you were not comfortable with the bike. I wouldn't wait too long to get another one. I know a few people who started a family, got rid of their bikes and later regretting it. Riding is your passion just like the rest of us. It will drive you nuts to go without a bike, especially when riding season starts again and everyone is out. It started to drive me nuts to have a blank space in my garage after my wreck. I have three young ones and it is hard to make time to ride, but I am still able to manage making time on a Sat. here and there to put down a 500 Mi run. I am glad I did not get rid of mine. If i cant ride, at least I can go into the garage, start her up, smell the exhaust and it keeps me going until i can make another day to get out and ride. Anyway, enjoy your new house Doc and hope to see you on two wheels again!

Derek, post this on the shout box and the NEO meet thread. I am assuming the 7:30 meet time for the NEO crew has been pushed back.

I was hoping he had a chance to ride it a little, get the feel for it. At least heat cycle the tires before he commits to a 500 mi ride. Its a different animal compared to the 250 he was riding. I guess we shall see how it handles this weekend!

Chance of rain has pretty much been removed for Sunday. Looks like partly cloudy everywhere with a high in the mid 60's. I have cleared my Sunday if the ride gets bumped.

Thanks for the awesome review. I am sure you noticed we all have a passion for wrenching and riding. I helped Whaler last night get everything buttoned up on your bike. She sounds and runs great! Brakes now feel solid like they should be. Once you get the rotor replaced, she will be ready for the road. Truth is, Whaler has taught me a lot of what I know about motorcycles. Hang out with him enough and you will be wrenching on your own in no time. It looks like she will be ready in time for the Epic Ride. You should come to the meet spot and ride down with us. Its a great way to meet some of the other OR crew.

^This! The bottom line is without law enforcement the laws don't exist. Its the reality of being arrested, prosecuted and spending the rest of your life in prison that keeps most civilized. Yes there are the few that think they can break laws and never get caught, but again, that is why we have law enforcement, to bring those to justice. Do I agree with how the whole process works, NO, I think there is much room for improvement. It starts with better training and strong leadership not swayed by politics. I think most will agree that having law enforcement is better than every man for themselves chaos that would ensue without them.

Ask Whaler or Derek on the site. They have a No Mar tire changer that we have done plenty of tires with. If you don't mind a trip north to Medina, I recommend them.

^This. I always bring cash. If I am selling, I remind the potential buyer its cash in hand for a test ride or don't bother to show up.

All this shit storm lately makes all law enforcement look bad. My father in law is a decorated retired police officer who put his life on the line every day to keep the peace. My opinion, he didn't get paid enough to do it. All you hear about lately is the negative. What about the lives that have been saved and all the trash that has been legitimately taken off the streets. Someone has to do it. At this rate no one will want to enroll into the academy. I wish there was a better way to weed out all the bad eggs and start over fresh.

Derek, do you have a list of attendees, leads & sweeps yet? Curious to see how many slow, med, fast, mock retard, groups we are going to have.
