  1. I used to run 36 in the front and 39 in the back. Now since I have gained some weight I shifted to 37 in the front and 40 in the rear and noticed a little better handling. Tire wear is the same. I loved my Bridgestone BT023s (now the T30) on my first FZ1. Great tires all the way around. Currently my bike has Pilot Power 2cts. Not going to get the mileage out of the rear, but that is expected for a more sporty tire. I purchased a new Pilot Road 2 for the rear and will be keeping the Pilot power on the front. I have heard it will be a great combo.
  2. Good call, I would have done the same thing. No fun in being wet and cold! I am in for Sunday as well.

  4. Welcome to the OR community! Check out the Epic Ride event thread as mentioned above. We are all getting together this Sat. to ride.
  5. Another option is DuPont Teflon Chain-Saver. It is a wax based chain lube, but dries in 30 min or less. It goes on quick like WD40 and dries really fast, but leaves a very light white film on the chain probably due to the molybdenum. It will not fling and is not sticky. Great for anything including dirt bikes and ATVs.
  6. That is mostly why I switched from chain wax. It worked great, but it is always sticky and made my chain and sprocket look like shit.
  7. I use Royal Purple synthetic chain lubricant. Goes on clear and dries like clear coat. You have to wait overnight for it to completely dry. I love it, no sling and it keeps my chain looking brand new.
  8. I have always used kerosene because it is o-ring safe and brakes down the grime quickly. Once clean, I will hit it with some compressed air to make sure it is dry and then reapply a chain lubricant. I have tried just using wd40 to keep the chain clean opposed to chain lube/wax as nothing will stick to it, but if you get caught in the rain or the chain gets wet you will need to reapply vigorously. I just prefer a good synthetic chain lube that dries clear and is not tacky.
  9. Welcome to the OR community! NEO people are meeting in Wooster. If you don't hook up with JSchaf you can ride to the meet spot. We are meeting at the Mini Mart gas station at 83 and 250 in Wooster. Meet at 8 AM and kickstands up at 8:30 AM. Hope to see you there!
  10. No gear + no shirt + no riding skills = squid!
  11. For those who don't want to be in the cream stick parade!
  12. Welcome to the OR community! I am also in Medina. I frequently ride and work on motorcycles with Whaler and Derek on the forum. Come out to the Epic ride next Sat. Its a great way to meet some of the OR peeps!
  13. When I bought my house the owner left me the Cub Cadet riding tractor and said it didn't run. I pulled the valve covers and as mentioned above a rocker arm came loose and fell off. I retightened and got 5 years of nonstop mowing out of it before we sold it for a bigger tractor.
  14. Good luck with your speech Travis. I am sure whatever you say will touch all who are willing to listen!
  15. And you will not be allowed to go over 50mph!
  16. Is tee spring refunding everyone who bought shirts from this campaign or just the people who reported an issue? You would think they would email everyone from the campaign and let them know they are getting a refund if that is the case.
  17. I would love to have ABS and traction control on my bike. I am pretty sure my next bike will!
  18. Welcome to the OR community!
  19. We have a LG top load washer and matching LG dryer. They have worked flawlessly for 3 years and are very efficient. Hopefully we get the mileage for the money we spent on them.
  20. At least its clean, been thoroughly washed! Looks to me like a perfect example of target fixation and what the hell do I do now that I stood my bike up! I am glad he is ok, he just missed the metal sign posts.
