  1. OK, so I have owned a pair of Held Rodney gloves for a little over a year now. They have been my favorite gloves I've ever owned. One day on my way to work, i felt a breeze in my hand. I looked down and realized the index finger had came unstitched. I called Held/Schuberth warranty, and they said sure, email them with proof of purchase, and they will arrange shipment of the gloves for repair. They had a 2 year warranty on them. I email them with my proof of purchase, I receive my shipping label, and I send the gloves. I was told on the phone total turnaround time would be as little as 7 days. I waited 2 weeks, no response. I emailed the person I contacted the first time, and he said, I'll call the repair shop and send you a status update right away. It has now been over 3 weeks, so I call them. The guy says he has been super busy and was sorry for the delay. He informed we he was going to call the repair shop right then and send me a status email. Guess what, no email. I understand people are busy and things happen, but my patience is running thin. Do you guys think I am out of line? I know Schuberth just starting taking care of Held customers recently, so I am trying to give them benefit of the doubt.
  2. I would really struggle if I had to stop at 100. Ive stretched to 220 miles one time, definitely not a good feeling.
  3. Nice ride! I went down route 2 from Pomeroy/Mason City Saturday and went to Hillbilly Hotdogs. I rode back 217/218, so very nice roads. The only issue I saw was those areas don't have an abundance of gas stations and I was running on fumes (Too arrogant to stop early on a 6+ gallon tank).
  4. What file extension are they? I thought Google My Maps could be exported to .kml format, which can be converted to .gpx and work for Garmins, TomTom, etc.
  5. Word around town is it will be getting a fresh coat of blacktop later this summer. Then it will be a very nice road (Except for it's severe flooding issues).
  6. 144 out of Coolville is extremely rough, I live about 1/4 mile away from it and I would not ride my bike on it. I would highly recommend staying on 50 for a few more miles and taking 329 from the Marathon gas station.
  7. I think it counts as your parking. If you go to buy your parking space, this is the info it says for Lot 2.
  8. +1 pinwall are some great people to deal with. Highly recommend.
  9. Yeah we went to Iron Pony Sunday and saw the red one. My buddy didn't want red or black.
  10. I just got my Rev'it Airwave. It flows a ton of air and is super comfy.
  11. He did all the work himself, just ordered a 95 inch kit, heads, cam, cam plate, & oil pump. This harleys are actually pretty simple to work on
  12. From what I am told, no. The bike has a big bore kit, heads, agressive cam, open exhaust, and open air cleaner. I do not have the bike in my garage, I just offered to install some tunes for the guy. Go thing is he has a second power commander that is not an EX model, but I have to go to his place with the laptop (Older non-usb PCIII). IMO, I would have taken the bike to get dyno tuned with the amount of changes made. It's hard to find tunes with this many variables.
  13. No, they said in that rpm range that is grayed out, it uses the stock ecm tune.
  14. So I talked to Power Commander, and since this is an EX model power commander, which is California legal, you cannot adjust anything in that rpm range.
  15. 99-01 Harley Touring. All the tunes on Power Commander's website have values for the greyed out region, but it changes them when sent.
  16. The map is for PCIII, so I am not 100% sure. I am gonna call Power Commander in the morning, I have read of some others saying it may be a defective PC.
  17. I know my old F4i would not start or run if the battery was low.
  18. Ok guys, I think I am stumped on this Power Commander. I have uploaded and downloaded many tunes with several different power commanders, but this one is throwing me a curve. First of all, this is a Power Commander 3 USB. I downloaded the correct map from their website, and when I went to send the map, I am prompted with an error messages stating my throttle columns do not match the columns on the PC and it wants to know if I want it to adjust the columns. If I hit no, the map does not send. If I hit yes, the map is sent be modified alot and it grays out the fuel at lower rpms. This is causing the bike not to idle. Below are some screen captures of what I am trying to explain. If any can explain what is causing this, or how I can fix it, I would greatly appreciate it. BEFORE SEND AFTER SEND
  19. We ended up finding this one at Xtreme of Cambridge. Super nice guys, but they forgot to put the temp tag on....So it's in the mail.
  20. Lol I think this is a bike that is more than a one or two season bike. It feels like it has the power to cruise at speed with no problem. I only took it to 40mph but it seems geared high.

    Yamaha R3

Hey guys, a buddy of mine just bought his first motorcycle, a 2015 Yamaha R3. We were in a parking lot by his house to get some practice (He has his MSF course scheduled) and i took it for a quick spin. Wow, I was surprised by how nice the bike rode and it had good power. I know it was difficult to even find one, so he better take care of it. Here's a pic of the little machine.
  22. Here is a little video I threw together of showing off the road quality of 555 below 550, and 676 from 555 to 339. Video was shot with a Hero 3+ Silver and the music was mixed by a friend of mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGSVq4HZNSo
  23. My Held gloves got a small tear in them. 2 year hassle free warranty and their getting fixed right now.
  24. I remember when I first looked for my first bike. I was ready to buy a brand new supersport. I called my insurance company and they wanted some ungodly amount of money. They said a rider under the age of 24 on a supersport has a 70% chance of totaling the bike in the first 6 months. Also i see people who own cruisers with with 1200 miles after 6 years of "Riding", so there's alot less chance of crashing if it's in the garage. It's as broad as it is long. Bikes crash, we just have to prepare/protect ourselves for the worst.
