  1. It's sad that there are so many motorcycle owners who don't actually ride. I rode by myself this weekend because my buddies wanted to wash their bikes more than riding them.
  2. I've rode this group of roads several times, and they are great roads with little traffic. 56 from Athens to Nelsonville has high water areas often, so be prepared for dirt/mud from the last big rain.
  3. Are you talking about the Ramble at Mineral Wells, WV April 31-May 3?
  4. It's been awhile, probably 5-6 years ago, not too long after I started riding, which is why I probably didn't buy one lol.
  5. I remember these being at Cleveland Motorcycle show and they worked really well.
  6. Yeah I agree. I had a tinted shield on when I rode the BRP and i had to flip up the visor, which caused issues with my contacts. Now contacts are gone(Lasik Eye Surgery) and I have an internal sun visor. They should have never took pre-orders if they were going to take this long though.
  7. I looked at the Bell helmets, and I have rode with a friend's for 20 miles, and I was not impressed. Maybe I'm weird, but it was just overall noisey and I was kinda taken back about the lack of quality of them. Then I noticed the RS-1 is Made in China, which for a company that used to be so proud of their "Made in USA" kinda pushed me away from them. Shoei needs to get their crap together and get that transitions shield out asap. Rumor was their first batch did not meet their safety standards, so they threw them out and started over.
  8. I am in the process of breaking my Neotec in too. The cheek pads do seem tighter than my last Shoei at break-in, but I need more riding time before I decide to go to small cheek pads. My dad's neotec has the thinner ones in and they do make a big difference.
  9. I really like Craigslist. You definitely gotta sort the good from the bad. I always want a well lit, public place, cash money, and my gun of course.
  10. I wonder how this guy would feel if he was blocking an intersection for a group of bikes and a car came through and clipped his front end. He just needs to learn to pick his battles. Even if you're right, you might be dead right on a bike. This is why i avoid Columbus like the plague. Head south and find good roads to ride on.
  11. I had Angel GT's on my beemer and loved them. I think im gonna try some PR4 when the FJR needs a set.
  12. You know you got a problem when you have a collection of the free shirts they give you for spending $150.
  13. If you find what you want, get ahold of Mike. He will hook you up. I just got myself a Shoei Neotec, and it fits awesome. Internal sunglasses is a great feature.
  14. Nice! I was reading last week where they thought they wouldnt get a stream for this.
  15. My buddy has a 2011 R6, and we installed a M4 slipon. It sounds good and it wasn't expensive, $250 new. http://www.m4exhaust.com/products/yamaha-r6-2008-GP.htm
  16. I have always wanted a Citori. Have you ever shot a Briar Rabbit in Zanesville?

  20. Welcome! Triple nickle is gonna be covered in junk for a couple more weeks. Sounds like you're just as excited as I am to get riding.
  21. I don't think there were any 174 hp bikes in 1996.
  22. I am currently in the beta testing program for Fusar helmets. They are very extensive in their selection process, but I have made it through a few rounds of surveys. They said if selected, I should get an actual product around May. Hopefully I meet their criteria.
  23. Two of my buddies DJ at the Adelphia from time to time, and they say it's a nice place. Marietta Brewing Co is a popular venue and one of the nicer places in Marietta.
  24. I had a 1200 Custom for 2 years. It was a fun bike, but in those 2 years, I realized I enjoyed riding longer distance weekend trips, and it wasn't gonna work for what I needed. Yeah it sounds cool, and it would carry the front wheel at stoplights, but a 400 mile day was torture. I have now moved to sport touring bikes and couldn't be happier. I am 5'10" and the pic below I was around 230lbs. I know I looked cool as a sleeveless squid
