  1. I usually end up laying in bed going over a checklist of stuff I need for the ride. Nothing is more irritating than fogetting stuff you will need.
  2. I ran a mirror lense and a pnlock tinted lense on my Shoei Qwest. I could ride at night with them, but it was enjoyable. Tunnels on BRP were an issue for me. Couldnt open the shield due to messing with my contacts (Thankful for Lasik now). Now with my Shoei Neotec, I love the drop down sun visor with a clear pinlock main lense. It works great and comes down plenty far enough.
  3. Oh i just love dealing with co-workers who know just enough to be a PITA.

    OR Decals

I've been down this road of blackouts. It ain't worth the hassle IMO.
  5. I'm too much of a fatass for a grom lol. My ride to work is 15 miles.
  6. Oh, my FJR is not going anywhere. It's an awesome touring machine and can tear up the twisties with no issue. I'm just thinking something to hop on to go to work and ride to cruise ins and stuff. I debated on finding an old xs650 or cb, but it would be cool to have a retro bike with fuel injection, brembos, etc. I might see if I can get a test ride on one of these.
  7. Hey guys, I have been eye balling around looking for a second bike for commuting to work. I really like the looks of the New Royal Enfield Continental GT. I noticed there's a dealer in Zanesville. I was wondering if anyone has ever rode one of these newer Royal Enfields. I am kinda concerned of the lack of power in them for riding on highways.
  8. I have a fiber line into our network headend, I've seen it up in the 900s a few times. Employees are getting 300 are their houses.
  9. It helps if you work for the cable company. Here is mine at work. SEO/WV Suddenlink.
  10. Glad to see you found your way here Nick.
  11. If my schedule pans out, yes. Not 100% sure yet. I met a bunch of the guys from FJRForum at the Minerals Wells Rally earlier this year and it's a bunch of nice people.
  12. Are you going to the EOM rally in Lewisburg Sept 25-27?
  13. I gotta find one near me. That FJ09 looks awesome.
  14. Yes, the unit is hardwired to the speakers, so you have to charge the helmet. I think with the correct 90 degree usb cable about 6 inches long, and a battery pack, I can charge the unit while wearing it.
  15. Well idk if it's scientifically true, but I would imagine a silver helmet reflects sunlight better than a black helmet, which in theory shouldnot be as hot. That is why i bought my first helmet in silver, and its been silver helmets ever since.
  16. I thought the same thing, but the price you see online is alot different from the price Mike can get you. Idk why, but silver helmets is my niche thing. I always buy a solid light silver helmet.
  17. I haven't tested this yet. Hopefully the same as my SMH10, about 12 hours of riding.
  18. The mic picks up really well. The only issue I had was the VOX system thinks I am saying a command when I open the chin bar. It picks up the mechanism moving, not the wind.
  19. OK, first thing I want to say is thank you to Mike at Riders Discount. He gave me one heck of a deal on this system and I couldn't be happier. I wanted this headset due to my SMH10 has some age on it, and it has served me well. Nothing wrong with it, just thought it was time for an upgrade. So the 10U is build for the Neotec, everything is exact fit, which made install a breeze. I had the SMH10 removed and the 10U installed in less than 20 minutes. I charged everything up and started playing with all the settings. I will say, the remote will take some getting used to, but it makes it so much nicer by keeping your hands on the bars. If your someone who keeps your hands towards the inside of the grip, you might have issues. My pinkie fingers naturally rest on the bar ends, so I had no clearance issues. The clamp does come pretty close to the clutch lever when squeezed in though. My phone paired right up no issues, connected to my dad's Sena 20s in intercom mode, no issues. My first ride out, i noticed how much quieter my helmet is without having the unit on the side. The speaker quality seems better than the SMH10 and plenty of loudness. I do not wear ear plugs, but it would be plenty loud enough even if you were. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Once again, thanks to Mike at Riders Discount for giving an awesome discount, and using my 10U for the photo shoot. Here are some pictures of the unit installed on my helmet and the handlebar controller.
  20. I didn't think I could get a helmet that flowed air better than my Shoei Qwest. Man, was I wrong, the Neotec flows a bunch of air. I was skeptical on modulars, but I figured might as well try one and I'm sold now.
  21. I just got my 10U system from Mike, and I was previously using a SMH10. You will be amazed how much wind noise you will lose when you switch to a 10U. The mic is perfectly placed out of the way, but it works well. I will be posting some installed pics soon.
  22. I am a video encoder, so I use video players.....ALOT, and the one thing that bothers me with VLC it tries to optimize the viewing quality and sometimes causes tearing, but other than that, it is a solid player.
  23. I know how you feel, I had some old machines that ran xp and I installed 7 on them. They struggle. It's amazing how much the technology changes in a few short years.
  24. I think the people in this link may have found a workaround. Hope this helps... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_devices/using-legacy-graphics-driverradeon-x1250-written/ef1cf5cc-bbfb-4c55-831d-b7897d70808c?auth=1
  25. I've had alot of good experiences with Iron Pony and their very helpful staff. I've needed my waders a time or two for the amount BS rollin out some employee's mouth though.
