Nice lookin bike!

+1 on 16, it's a fun ride.

I'm digging this thread from the grave. It's winter and I'm bored. 1st bike, 2005 Yamaha YZ250F. I rode quads before that, but nothing that was mine. It was too much for me, 16 years old and stupid. It kicked my ass to the ground many times. 2nd bike, 1st street bike was a 2001 CBR F4i. Bought strictly on looks and budget. I had so much fun on this bike. If I ever find it, I will try to get it back. 3rd bike, 2006 Harley Sportster 1200 Custom. I thought I wanted a cruiser for more comfort, I was wrong. Rode this bike the least and decided to quit riding for awhile and sold it. 4th bike, about 6 months after selling the Sportster, I got the riding itch again. Found this 98 BMW K1200RS on cycletrader in Dublin. This bike opened my eyes to the Sport Touring style. Loved the bike, just too costly to maintain and was starting to age. I probably would have kept it if it had cruise. 5th and current bike. My favorite of course. The 2014 Yamaha FJR1300A. I have ridden this bike more than any of my others. I have had it for a little over 2 years and I still don't get bored of it. I can't wait to see where this bike takes me in the future.

+1 on soaking the cylinders. You might be able to get the rings to unstick if that's the only issue with it. I have seen ATF or Marvels Mystery Oil used.

http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/missing-equipment-label-puts-2015-2016-csc-cyclone-on-motorcycle-recall-list Looks like it is only for the later model years

Trust me, as someone who is neck deep in an ls build, a car will cost you more in the long run with less fun IMO. The novelty of owning it will die off fast. 4th gen f-bodys are getting to the age where problems are gonna keep you busy, especially if you find one that affordable.

I usually do cardio the day after arms or shoulders, but rest the day after leg day. I don't know if it's by the book, but it works for me.
-
My commute is 18 miles, 45 miles if I take the twisty roads on the bike. I don't mind it, but I don't have traffic like the bigger cities.

This weekend was rough for me. Spent Saturday at the PRI show in Indy, so on the way back, we stopped for Steak, Rolls, and Beer at Texas Roadhouse. Didn't get home til late, so no gym to counter-act the terrible eating. Made it to the gym last night, and I'm gonna hit it hard this week.

Great video Doc. Thanks for taking the time and effort to film the ride.

I'll be going. It would be nice to do a meetup.

So our unofficial cabin roster looks to be the following. @JustinNck1 @2talltim @what @Namdum68
-
Still making progress, down to 261. I've been adding some more weight training into my workout schedule. I can now run on the elliptical longer and at a faster pace with the same resistance. My goal to be at 250 by New Years is gonna be close, but I'm gonna try like hell to get there.
-
Elliptical is my favorite. I found out I don't like it after leg day though...

I understand mistakes happen, but denying it just pisses me off. I scuffed one of my brand new chrome wheels for my truck when installing the tires. My fault, low profile tires are a pain in the ass and I was in a hurry. Good thing the rim saver tires cover it up.
-
This trip is gonna be a big one. @2talltim and I are taking a long route south. Might have 2000 miles in before we get to the cabin.
-
Just went out for a ride with my new heated gear. Why did I not get this stuff sooner?!
-
-
Yeah i can't believe it either. If i had the money myself, i would buy it for a commuter. He has taken it off craigslist until spring.
-
Never worried about the oil. I usually get a fresh tank of fuel and stabilizer, but then I end up riding at least a couple times each month of the winter so it doesn't really sit much. Just keep washing the salt off of it.
-
Just don't forget to switch out your summer tire air with winter tire air....

Got the paint for the FJR's Top box, and ordered a new Yamaha Emblem at the dealer today. Hopefully gonna sand it down tomorrow and spray this weekend.
