  1. 550 miles today. Pretty much awesome all the way around. Getting pretty confident in the Roadsmart 2s. Only had a couple wiggles. 1 for sure was water I didn’t spot until late and I believe the other one was gravel.
  2. I needed to leave around 6 and it was raining like crazy here. Roads are still wet as all get out. No way I would have made the ride. Good call @Muckles
  3. I think Dunlop may have changed something in their process. I’ve mentioned my issues with the RS2s. When they arrived they seemed to have a sheen to them that I don’t recall seeing on any of my previous tires. After my spill turning out of the drive I ordered a set of RS3s. They seemed to have the same kind of sheen when they arrived. I have run multiple RS3s prior to this set and they have always stuck pretty well. You have me concerned now.
  4. It’s looking like rain up north here right about the time I need to leave. I’m doubting I make the trip.
  5. You thinking it’s going to be wet tomorrow down your way?
  6. I agree with Tonik on this one. Bike looks good.
  7. I bet he would have survived if he wore a mask. 🤣🤣🤣
  8. Does this mean I might see you on the street again?
  9. You don’t have to do that. Ride whatever you prefer to ride. I’m not usually comfortable riding others machines anyways.
  10. Math teacher. Nobody asks me for a recommendation. All Ed’s fault.
  11. Based on the article it seems as though it may be a problem. Tonik asked about my career because I’m a math teacher. I can only speak of my own personal thoughts as an educator. I can’t speak for my whole profession. As a math teacher not many ask for recommendations from me. If you read much of what I post you’ll see words are not my strength. When asked for a recommendation it’s based on my experience with that student. The race of a student for me plays no role in my recommendation.
  12. The court’s second explanation for the racial “personal rating” gap is that there is racial bias in the evaluations by teachers and counselors. The judge wrote: “teacher and guidance counselor recommendations seemingly presented Asian Americans as having less favorable personal characteristics than similarly situated non-Asian American applicants . . . Because teacher and guidance counselor recommendation letters are among the most significant inputs for the personal rating, the apparent race-related or race-correlated difference in the strength of guidance counselor and teacher recommendations is significant.” This seems like a smoking gun showing that Asian American applicants are victims of discrimination. @SpecialEd is a racist. Got it.
  13. You’re always welcome to ride with me B-Mac. Look forward to seeing you buddy.
  14. I plan to show up as long as the weather is good on Saturday. I am willing to lead a group. I’m not sure what you classify my pace as. If you’ve rode with me it will be my normal pace (medium fast🤷‍♂️). I cannot make Sunday, however.
  15. Remove this thread and reopen epic ride 🤷‍♂️
  16. I get what you’re saying but I’d be changing tires 3-6 times a season if I do this. I’ve had multiple sport touring tires that have done just fine for me. I think I may need to just make sure these tires are good and warm before I start leaning.
  17. Thanks for thinking of me boys. I feel special right now. I hiked my skirt up today, though. I put in 300 miles on 164, 9, 646, 213, and 170. Once I got off the damp roads from a rain that came through before my arrival the tires were decent. For now I plan to keep them on the bike. If I start to feel uncomfortable I have a new set of tires sitting in the basement.
  18. Never had much issues prior to these tires. I hope they get better. Time will tell.
  19. Clutch lever came in today. So, I took the bike out to get a better idea on these Roadsmart 2s. They definitely need to be heated up before put to use. I tried to pull the front wheel after squaring up of course out of the drive. Nothing but tire spin. It wasn’t mold release that caused it. I made a run the other day with the broken lever that should have cleaned that up. After a bit I started to push them in some curves near home and they felt okay. I doubt I will ever buy them again however. They are super hard and just not very grippy. Spooning on the rear was the biggest pain in the butt. I feel like the sidewalls on the things are so hard you could run them flat and not even notice. I know it’s not the most expensive tire but I’ve run Coni-motions and would take those over these things any day. Tomorrow I plan to head a little south and really test them out then make the decision whether to spoon on the Roadsmart 3s I already bought after these put me on my can.
  20. Agreed. So what office are you going to run for?
  21. @Tpoppa you are on a roll. When are you running for office?
