    Gun advice

Not a lot of experience with guns here. My wife actually has more experience with guns. She grew up hunting and shooting as a kid. She’s a farm girl. That’s why I now have 4 steers, 1 cow, and 1 heifer. Thanks for the advice.

    Gun advice

Have some crazy crap going on out here in the sticks tonight. There’s a guy on the loose who is armed and dangerous. There actually was an alert put out about the guy that came across my mother-in-law’s phone. Rumor of gunfire exchanged between him and a home owner. Enough about the back story. The question is this. What is a good gun for home protection? I would like to be able to use the gun for taking care of rodents around the farm as well. If that’s 2 separate firearms let me know.
  3. I had an issue 1 time with a ContiMotion front tire. I believe that was the tire itself. The rest of the time, no issues on the street or track. I tried it because I read where a lot of guys never balanced there tires. I typically mount a new set, give them a test run up to triple digits and call it good.
  4. I’m guessing that would be an ego check
  5. I’ve heard other OR members speak of what you’re saying but I’m so used to the bike the way is now. I could see me tipping right into the asphalt with this quicker tip in you speak of. I probably should give it try at some point.
  6. Price on Roadsmart 3 120-70-17 190-50-17
  7. Tim I have no problem with folks looking to bail. I get it, if they don’t want to be there, and are scared my guess is they aren’t going to be very useful. It’s not much different than riding. To me if you ride scared you’re going to be dangerous to yourself and others. I also feel if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. There are people that want to work and can’t at this point. These are the people I feel for. Ed I think the only way I could answer this truthfully is if I were in the situation. Sitting here I would tell I would stay on the front lines, based on commitment. Again I know that’s easier said than done, but my word means a lot to me. If I make a commitment I’m there unless I end up on my death bed. @Steve Butters I had the same thoughts.
  8. That’s because their mommy’s and daddy’s drive them everywhere and do everything for them. I told both my girls they had no choice but to get their license. I’m not carting there butts everywhere.
  9. We all have different ways of diffusing stress I guess. I can guarantee my ways have nothing to do with teaching or my job. Mine typically deal with powersports or exercising.
  10. I teach at a public school. Btw got an update from the wife’s principal and the teachers will not be dealing with food, but still reporting to do work.
  11. My wife is a teacher at a public high school and they told her she is to come in Monday and Tuesday. Makes little to no sense to me.
  12. Rode about 425 miles in a little less than 8hrs. A bit of a lengthy first day, but it was good to be out.
  13. I still think motorcycling checks most of the boxes. Plenty of social distance, gloves, helmet to guard against others sneezes and coughs. If I can just get the weather to cooperate.
  14. No plans of necessarily railing it, but I doubt I’ll be riding the legal speed limit as well. We’ll see what Thursday brings. It could be crap weather. Not concerned about being pulled over if I’m obeying the law, but I don’t want to see Johnny around every corner.
  15. I was out and about yesterday and saw cops everywhere. They were in places I typically don’t see them. I was thinking of a motorcycle ride Thursday but if it’s going to be worse than a holiday weekend I don’t know that I want to deal with it.
  16. I’d agree. That’s more than my car.
  17. My oldest daughter Tory and I got out for a bicycle ride. We both enjoyed the ride, but man am I out of shape.
  18. I Aired up the tires, checked the brakes, and started it for the first time this year. I’m hoping to head out around noon for a 4-5 hour ride. The plans are for a moderate pace to shake off the cobwebs for the bike and me, but maybe at times the pace will increase. Now if I can just get the weather to cooperate.

    MORGA

I was thinking this is exact same thing last night. The CoronaHIV has slowed a lot of things and brought somethings to a complete halt. However, it has done nothing but increase OR activity.
  20. Thanks for looking out @motocat12
  21. Wait. What? This is your red bike that had the Ducati tail?
  22. No need for extra weight or increased difficulty here. I’ve added 20 plus pounds since summer. That’s enough to challenge me.
