Buddy in high school had one and no way would I ride in one with any serious power. The wheelbase is just to short so when things get loose, not much room to recover it. His dad has it now with an LT4 installed....

You realize MOST Euro countries are LHD, only British colonies are the ones still RHD.

We looked at them when we were moving from Texas back to Ohio and the prices were STUPID expensive. They wanted a drop off and pickup fee, delivery fee, and monthly fee if longer than 30-days. It was the biggest container they had and wasn't very large at all for the $2,500 they quoted me.

What do you guys think about Unitronic that allows you to flash via your own laptop at home? I hate having to go to a dealer for an APR tune.

I'm ready and researching for my Golf and what bolt-on's to do next..

Is APR still the place to go for these cars? I was all set to use them and now searching forums and the FB page, seems a majority HATE APR. Are there really any issues or is it just the Stage-3+ cars? Does everything have to be flashed with a canned tune besides the JB1-4 setups? No way to just go to someone like Brian and have a custom tune done?

TINT: Anyone recommend a place to have tint done? I'm looking for the newer style Carbon tint or better at a decent price. Does anyone come to you for install or most have a location they use around? CLEAR BRA: Who does it and who is trustworthy and will do a great job? I'll have a new vehicle needing it done once my TDI goes back on Dec 1st. WHEELS: I always used Discount Tire down in TX, any particular location to have warranty work done with competent employees? I'll need some snow tires soon and will need a place I can trust. What about wheel repair? At one time people used WheelMedic or something like that. Is that still the place to have a quality repair done? Seems my wife found the one bad curb at my daughters school so have a minor repair to have done. Tim's got me covered on detailing....anything else I should know about? Been a while since I've had to deal with SNOW/ICE and just curious everyone's opinion of winter driving. Do I really need AWD/4WD or are most of you getting by with snow tires or just FWD, RWD, and all-seasons, etc? Maybe a POLL of what you drive during the winter? Or recommend? Your winter setup.... FWD all-seasons? FWD snow tires? RWD all-seasons? RWD snow tires? AWD/4WD all-seasons? AWD/4WD snow tires unstoppable? What's winter? I run OEM summer tires year round About to turn in my TDI for the buyback and have been car/truck shopping trying to decide if I really NEED at least one AWD/4WD car in the house or can I get by with RWD/snow tires. I'd be driving from Marysville to East Columbus everyday and can't exactly miss work due to weather. I never had any issues in Beavercreek with RWD and regular tires but I also only lived 5-miles from work. Now I'll be driving about 35-40 miles one way. Thoughts on winter driving needs? I've been all over and lived in Houston for the last 8-years and can honestly say I'm looking forward to moving back to Ohio. Many places listed that are just crazy IMO but enjoy it if that's what you wish. I can tell you my cost of living has dropped considerably moving back to OH. My car insurance went down $800 a year alone. Everything else has dropped in price as well. Well see come winter if I feel the same way...

I can't help but laugh at this thread. The worst day of traffic in Columbus isn't as bad as a normal day in Houston. One of the biggest reasons I'm looking forward to moving back as far as driving to/from work... :gabe: Hell, when they get a light snow or ice down here the world STOPS like the damn Walking Dead... :lolguy:

+1 Any chance of this happening scares the shit out of me wanting to EVER try any form of the stuff. The fact that you see what this crap does to peoples lives and people still want to do it blows my mind... It may as well be Russian roulette with a semi-auto..

What's the debt of your detailing? What kind of coatings do you use? Carnauba? Sealants like CQuartz, etc? Do you do exterior primarily or interior as well?
