According to a few threads Kevin has posted in, they don't have any customers wanting to go fast in the 1/4 mile. Kevin said he would guarantee a x second car if someone wants one but all his customers do the roll events and 1/2 mile events..

They are factory forged and a few over 1,100whp on stock engine. I didn't have any issues with mine in Ohio winters, just sucks if you need more room than a single cab can handle. I could get 20mpg taking it easy but most of the time it was around 18mpg. If you are raping it from every light and cruising on the highway you'll be around 13mpg or less if it's heavily modded..

I'd say good luck finding a well taken care of model that will get to 300k-miles without you getting nickle and dimmed to death. Love the cars but they just aren't going to last that long IMO without some cost. There is a reason they are cheap, EVERYTHING starts at $1k and goes up at the dealer. Ya, you can do it all yourself and save a TON but that's why people dump them (same with the S-class, 7-series, etc.). Not to mention people want the latest and greatest so when the new one hits the street, the old ones aren't desired by the people that can buy a new one every year. If you can find one for $10k and under that's CLEAN go for it, but I think you'll spend way more than that over the few years you own it. I'd buy something that costs a little more but will be newer, less miles, etc..

I'm not a GM guy but I don't mind it. I think it actually looks pretty good...but being a Muscle Car the backseat on the Gen-6 is complete CRAP. May as well buy a Vette or Viper if you can't take the kids with you.

Where are you trying to go and when do you need to leave and return? Look on Spirit Airlines (as of this post)....from Detroit to Houston leaving Friday is $143 and returning on Tuesday is $48. All in, $191... (Detroit to Dallas is $255) ...not many rental cars, gas and hotels going to beat that price. If you can purchase from the ticket counter you can save 50% sometimes because they don't hit you with the online booking fees.
