I still can't believe people that say "no kids, never!" I've always wanted kids and looked forward to the day I could afford them and have them. Now we've got one and hope to have a second (or maybe third) someday. It's all how you raise them and bring them up (ya there are a few bad apples but that's with everything). The greatest part of my day is getting my daughter up or coming home from work to her... No matter how bad your day is, they always make you laugh...

Thank you! That site didn't come up for me at work for some reason searching. We don't have state income tax in TX so just trying to get an idea what I'll pay if we move to OH.

It works for some, I just don't have the time. I won't buy something that's going to spend more time on land than in the water.....it would be different if I had bought that lake house but I'd rather have jet-ski's for that personally....

It doesn't have anything to do with what kind of a boat. Do the math.... Use x cost x maintenance x gas x registration x trailer/registration x storage x insurance x misc crap/acc., etc..etc....unless you live on the lake and can use it year round (not in Ohio) or do some form of work with the boat, it's a terrible investment. I live right by the lake and the $400-500 rental for a brand new ski-boat is far cheaper and better than what owning one costs year round.... Then again, if you want to throw away money.....by all means get a BOAT!

Anyone know what the Ohio state tax rate is and possibly a website with info? Also looking for propety tax rates also for outer areas around Columbus (N, NE, East of 270)?

...and most have a 3% fee so they are still making 2% on every purchase to your 1%. Not to mention as you said "quarterly special"....there rules are always changing ALWAYS! If you are happy, that's all that matters...I won't do it...

The bad part is that a very small percentage of people are actually meeting ALL guidelines and getting the points/rewards. Everyone else is just paying excess fees and charges and making the CC companies RICH in the process. Read the fine print and stay on top of it or it will bite. I just find it's easier to pay cash or if I do make a purchase that I need to track on a credit card or trip, I pay it off the second I get home (within 24-hours). People that don't have the cash to cover the purchase are just digging themselves in a HOLE....

Read the fine print, rewards aren't always what people think... There are other reasons, take your pick....

What website do you guys use to find out Ohio tax rate % on homes for a certain area?

+1 Unless it's a business card where you are spending a large sum each month and/or writing off the expenses with little liability....points cards are NOT worth it IMO.
