  1. Probably original considering the mileage? I heard that tires live longer if they're used regularly.
  2. Yeah, I might just do it. I was starting to get excited about riding, but it will be a hectic time with selling a house, moving multiple cats, going into corporate housing temporarily, and buying another house. I don't know if the relo issue has to do with misinformation or maybe past experience with damage. Or maybe they never moved a person with a bike. Just need to double check.
  3. Oh, brother... I thought, what about M7 RR's? Mine are still sitting in the garage, but the size is wrong for the rear wheel.
  4. True. I'm thinking about giving up my old car before I move, but it almost doesn't make sense to only have a bike in a new state with no job. Especially since it will probably be in October. Anyway, I would wait to ski behind a jet ski, so I'd have to wait for the jet ski AND the skis!
  5. Nice trailer mod. Wow, now the moving company itself said that they could put the bike on the truck with everything else and only charge $50 to deliver it. I would how it would fair in a moving truck with boxes. The corporate relo person initially said no, so it needs confirmation, too.
  6. Yeah, that would have been a nice hook up probably. I get that it's difficult to drive around to look at bikes without a car though. Like he's stuck on a little island and just getting together enough cash for some decent options.
  7. And...they're gone. Is yoshiii even around any more? I guess this isn't a very noob-friendly place. (Is @Isaac's Papa the official noob hazer? heh)
  8. What's a good type of trailer to buy? I was thinking, if I don't ride it, instead of paying $500 for transport or renting a trailer, I could just invest in a trailer. I did see one before that folds and stands up for storage, but I'm not rich. Useful in the future, not doubt.
  9. Wow, I wish I could get the FZ6 and sell my Ninja 650 to @yoshiii Only 2900 miles on my bike.
  10. I would hope. I'll probably ride out to the begging to see what's out there. It's across St. Marys Bridge near Roy's Gun Shop & Appliances. heh
  11. Found the 2nd half of 16. Harder to trace. https://goo.gl/maps/2qmPMuiggLB2
  12. Found 16 from WV at least. It does go through Fayetteville. The numbers change a little beyond there. https://goo.gl/maps/GPoePA87KV62
  13. Right. I just thought someone might have planned a route before. It's kind of difficult to follow 16 on Google Maps. Plus, you guys probably actually took the roads you recommend.
  14. I didn't mean like that. hehe
  15. I'll check into it. Is it also decent for a car, or is it just a waste of time in a car?
  16. That's what I meant. What would be a "nice" route as opposed to 77 all the way? I know 77 is a mess going into Charlotte. Don't know about the rest of it.
  17. Yeah. It's just a matter of looking like a box of Crayons or not. heh Blue, orange, green, black...
  18. Anyone have a nice route mapped out to Charlotte, or would I need to ride the Dragon along the way? I'm sure there are plenty of routes worked out to get there.
  19. Are you heading that way or something? That might not be a bad offer. I guess I should factor in that we might not leave until October.
  20. Get me some inexpensive transport and it will be sooner.
  21. Nevermind! That one costs $575 to $840! They ship within an individual container which sounds nice.
  22. A 2-day trip sounds like a decent option. My current helmet won't cut it though. It makes my forehead burn after an hour or so, plus it's way too noisy. I'd go deaf even using ear plugs. I'm about to try a Shoei RF-SR because it should fit my more oval head shape much better at least. I found a couple places that give an instant quote. Anything around $500 is just too much, although the relo deal include $6000 for other expenses. We also have to deal with transporting cats. (I wonder how they would enjoy a plane ride!)
  23. Saw this post on ebay from 2002. Check out https://www.forwardair.com/ They have shipping hubs all over the U.S. I ship my KTM 125 dirtbike from GA to Cali for under a $100 each way. I've checked with other companies and they want over $400 to ship.
  24. Our relocation company will not transport my bike as part of the deal. How much could I expect to pay to transport from Columbus to Charlotte, NC? Or maybe consider a one-way trailer rental? (I'd need to add a hitch to a car and I've never pulled a trailer.) Or ride it out? (Definitely need a better helmet for that. Planning to get one soon.) I did consider doing a combination of some trailering and some riding. Any problem towing an empty rental trailer at interstate speeds? Or would interstate riding on a Ninja 650 be too boring? My longest rides have probably been below 100 miles and usually avoid highways unless I'm lost.
