  1. Yesterday I got a care package for my tracer. Birthday present a couple weeks early. Crash bars, driving lights, tank bag straight from Motostorm/Givi in Italy. My wife has quarantined the package for a couple days. This sucks.
  2. Well the name’s shiny. But it’s still flat gray.
  3. For the record you can’t see your reflection in primer.
  4. Hard to tell what it’ll end up looking like.
  5. I knew going in the green would be hard to match up. Plan to use vinyl graphics to break it up a bit. Tried a few different things and I like the purple/white but I was using scraps, ran out and the purple is no longer available. Got some material on order though. Back to the drawing board.
  6. Pretty sure mike can get you some ebc rotors. I’ve ran the cheap Arashi branded rotors with no issues. I’ve used scotch Brite and sandpaper With a sanding block to clean up old ones. Cleaning up is worth it as long as there still over the minimum thickness.
  7. Welcome. Also in muskingum

Shit. Looks like I shoulda kept the cruiser. But in all seriousness if @Tonik can keel from throwing sparks all day surely we can slow down a bit and shoot the shit a little at gas stops.
  10. Well not sure how old A bike your thinking of but if it’s something with a strong following it sure helps. I currently have two 20plus year old bikes in my garage being redone. Both ZRX’s so not that old but carbs, old electronics, dated suspension, odd tire sizes and finding parts make it interesting sometimes. Luckily there is a awesome forum dedicated to these bikes. Handful of members are machinists and make and sell some very nice replacement parts and mods. Also tons of info to help if you do your own wrench work. Hell I’d probably have a few more old bikes if I had the room and money. Fun hobby and a chance to really make something your own. I also love wrestling these old, heavy, loud, gasoline stinking bikes on the twisty roads. Not half the bike my tracer is but there’s something about a bike that is simple and very mechanical feeling that’s a lot of fun.
  11. Made some good progress this weekend. Made a bracket and got the modified tail light in. The tail is now all wired in and buttoned up.
  12. Back on track. Working out some scheduling and will be headed down with @FORD late May early June. Most likely hold up at the gap resort, Robbinsville or Fontana a couple of days. Really like staying in Townsend but want more time to explore South into Georgia.
  13. Warm weather Monday allowed for some painting. Finally got a good look at what she’s gonna look like.
  14. Don’t know of any shops. I can tell you I did race tech springs/fluid swap and added Gary’s fork brace to my 1700 Vaquero and the difference in handling was very noticeable.
  15. Looks like you put down some good miles. I’m a little jelly. New bike looks nice and otta be a mile muncher.
  16. Been a while. Been a mild winter but it still blows. Well shit got interesting. My son decided to tear down and redo my parts bike. That’s right 2 zrx builds going on at the same time. His is almost back up on wheels now. Stripped down, frame painted, motor back in and forks rebuilt. Gotta fix some wheel painting issues and she will be up on her feet. Got a few of his body parts painted gray, put them on my frame for grins and I think the gray will play well with the green frame. Maybe some green/ purple stripes added.
  17. Made to compete with Harley Davidson fixed gear?
  18. Thanks Yep. Tank and plastics will cover abut half of it though.
  19. Starting to look like a motorcycle here.
  20. Biggest downside to auto-blip is when you ride your other bike that doesn’t have it.
  21. Wonder who makes a good snow tire.
