  1. 315 miles on the Yamaha & 300 miles on the Voyager, Saturday & Sunday. 810 miles on the Voyager Monday to right meow. I just walked in the door from a service trip to Harrisburg, PA. Got a little wet last night, but hotel'd up in Somerset before the real shit hit the fan. Finished the last stretch this morning. I am absolutely infatuated with the Voyager. I was contemplating swapping the FZ6 for a FJR, but that is completely out the window as of this moment. What a fantastic motorcycle. I am not even slightly sore or road fatigued. I am tired from the lack of sleep that hotel hopping does to me, but none of that lies with the bike. I just can't sleep when I travel unless I self-medicate. The saddle could be better, but it is far from terrible. I can go a whole tank without stopping, no problem. It just could be a little firmer. I can feel the pan in my upper thighs after about 100 miles, or so. If I switch leg positions I can deal with it, but I would also like a bit of lumbar support. That will be the only major change I do to it that I can see. Suspension is what it is. I was 2-up, ripping up and down OH-800, on Sunday and it did very well. So, many thanks to @Tonik for the smashing deal on a mile chewing maniac of a bike. I promise to take good care of her. (I even bought a mitt and chamois to keep in the saddlebag. I washed it twice this week, already.)
  2. Damn. Sorry to hear this. What happened?
  3. Technically not double stacked.
  4. I saw this while on a call in GA. Sign says, "BORN TO BE SEEN, LOOK FOR MOTORCYCLES" Irony is delicious.
  5. Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, in Clearfield, PA.
  6. Great. Just what we need. Another Tonik. First me. Now this guy.
  7. Planning on leaving Wednesday evening and staying somewhere near the KY/OH border. I have the entire weekend off and wanted to explore the fine state of Kentucky via two-wheeled conveyance. Base camp will probably be near Prestonsburg, but I am open to any/all suggestions. Thank you.
  8. Nordlock washers are pretty dope, too.
  9. If I ride the Vulcan sans helmet it is much quieter than with a helmet. Earplugs are the key to quiet safety.
  10. Forgot to photo our burgers, but lunch was good.
  11. What helmet offers built-in hearing protection?
  12. Awe, hell. Now there will be rolling roadblocks out the asshole down there. Tell your FJR buddies to shut the fuck up.
  13. Pics of me dragging knee on Killboy Highlight page..Coming Soon!!
  14. Wow. That is a very classy ride.
  15. His pace through the corners was quick enough to surprise me. I led down 44/542/39 and he mentioned he would like to go a little faster. I said he could lead on the way back, but to watch his entry speed and make sure to not ride faster than his eyesight can see. He zoomed along about 60mph and I only saw his brake light a couple times as he set up for the tighter corners. His lines need work, but they weren't terrible. He never had to readjust once he nosed into the turn, but he did run a little wide on a couple. He stayed in his lane, though. He needs some track time. That is my next project.
  16. Isaac's street riding debut was Sunday.
  17. That is more bike than I am qualified to pilot.
  18. You need to reset your baseline test. From now on, only attempt to start it with the side stand retracted (that means "up") and the clutch lever depressed (that means "pulled"). This will help narrow things down to a manageable amount of gremlins.

    2019 Gap Trip.

I learned a few things on this trip. -5 days of rain can really test a rider's mental fortitude. -Michelin makes wet roads its bitch. -I am a better rider than I thought I was. -No such thing as waterproof textile. Thanks for hosting, OhioRiders. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
  21. You're right. I may have caught The Derp. I think I will keep it for now. The bike I want to replace it with is too expensive at the moment. I could go for the FZ1, but if it did 5 days at a very positive clip and was able to hang... it is worth some effort to make it better.
