Amish Country is best done on a Sunday....everything closed and no traffic...rest of the area little traffic to speak of. Only tourist areas get busy....so stay south of Berlin, Charm. Millersburg SR39 East to Berlin and Walnut Creek. SR557 runs South from Berlin this is tourist central. SR83 South below Mlbg. USR62 from Martinsburg (586, 541 intersect with 62 there). Pick yer own best route into the hills.

514 & 520?....i always heard that they wuz pretty nice. =}

Survived the week and commutes....looking at a Sunday ride....Fri. & Sat. am occuppied. So come Sunday...opening garage door...looking at sky and deciding yay or nay.....wife picking the direction. The phone calls...uh, phone was left a coupla days....Sunday....call me again, okay. I left messages...your turn! Phoe tag yur it!!!

Berlin area....better on Sunday....everything closed and no tourists. Didja stop and look-see the gorge in Mohican?

Nah...not that time. Blue and noisy...yellow next day. This morning back to blue...and 65°...nice ride...no deer spotted...just one yesterday sprinting across in front of me....no so bad as the gray gran am that tucked in behind me....hard braking to let deer pass...I see one headlite in both mirrors....i waved him by...let him pick off the furry critters.

I got last year's route as well. OR..gimme a yell. Lots and lotsa nice roads. Still got colors here...not sure after this weekend.....

BLOG: Sub-heading...Woodland creatures. Layered up on ride home this AM...suppose ta be 46°…feels a tad cooler...fingers are cold. Stopped in Danville...30 minutes to go what 18 miles? So thru Gambier and all the live lawn ornament deer...I think they are pets....okay, but then on Amity Rd. I pop over a rise and come upon a woodland creature union meeting of some kind - 3 deer and a racoon standing out on the road....the racoon hit it to the drain pipe under the road...the deer stood and stared at me....blip the UP obnoxious pipes and they slowly walked away....one stopped on the bank and stared at me....uhmm, when is rutting season? I mean ... do chrome handle bars look like antlers? Tried typing this in Danville, but fingers wouldn't work and some how message disappeared....so belated blog from home. So if this shows up twice...it ain' t my fault...it is the ________ phone.

Okay now itz rainin'....raining hard!

Coulda very well have been....took some of the toys out for a spin. Can't ignore them too long or they get cranky....on 62 to 520...ran scoot down 520 a bit. SV and BB...then the yeller cruiser. I head out in different directions each time. Today out two times several hrs each. Knox, Coshocton, Holmes, Wayne and maybe Tusc... Looked too cloudy over by Loudonville so swung south on 60 and headed home before rain. No rain yet, but dark....and that means deer running.....home safe and sound!

Out cruisin' ran some of Fall outing backwards and a few bits more .... left uphill from Roscoe and caught CR17 towards SR60 and Warsaw.....see two beaver dams built. Right up next to the road in ditches.....get yer pics before county engineer digs 'em up (again). Warmer this morning than it got all day yesterday....Whit's anyone? There 's an idea....the Whit's Run....cruise Johnstown Whits to Coshocton and then to Granville.

Big Smiles...out and about all weekend....only see Harley riders wave or not. Did see one lone townie in Kershocton....Parks, who did Ralph sell his race replica too?? Maybe.....coulda been him tooling around town. More smiles as the big mamma of the couple we saw at Bob Evans, on our breakfast run....walked up and did the preflight check of the big Harley...the guy went to the sportster. Only a lil' over a hunnert miles so far today. Much warmer when we left this AM than it got all day ysterday! Be back out for mid afternoon ride...doing some more waving! ;>)

In closing....route instructions filed away. Left Danville, east on USR62 to SR206. South on 206 to SR715. 715 an older chip and seal, well packed down, but spots unravel'd. 715 to Mohawk Dam and SR36. Took 36 east into Warsaw. Left at blinking lite and then 2nd street on left CR22, Spring Mtn. Rd.... follow it to CR19 and downhill to stop sign on SR60...left on SR60 - cross bridge and right onto CR19...the other part....left at sharp uphill...DO NOT GO STRAIGHT! Left at stop sign in Clark (Myers gas station was open!!)... cross bridge and past school and right onto CR19.....yes that's right 3 CR19's. Follow CR19 to CR59....59 to stop sign...CR600...east on on 600 to New Bedford and SR643. Porta-john at New Bedford. Take 643 north to stop sign and SR557. Left on SR557 to Charm. Right in Charm at Keim's across from Grandma's restaurant (the one Motocyclista wrote about in an article somewhere) onto CR70. Follow CR70 to stop sign and straight thru now CR114....114 to stop sign at SR39. Cross 39 and left at next stop sign. Uphill into Walnut Creek. Since it is Sunday, everything closed inside Amish Country .... just beware of buggies, riders on horseback, people walking....and Amish boys on bicycles outfitted with stinger motors. Wave, they'll wave to you... stop in Walnut Creek behind der Dutchman...pkg lot at SR515 and scenic overlook. North on SR515 to stop sign at USR62. Left and dash into gas station on right...only thing open. Top off cruiser bikes....how come a cruiser bike can only go 90 miles before gas tank is empty? Another scenic overlook at gas station. Continue westerly on 62 to Bunker Hill...right at lite onto CR77. North on 77 to Mt. Hope and SR241...south on 241 to blinking lite and right onto CR201. By now the gurlz have realized all them touristy spots are closed...no shopping today guys. Yer welcome! You figure how to talk them out of the return trip in vehicle to buy stuff!!! Follow CR201 north to Fredricksburg...county road number changes to CR10 at Wayne Co. In Freds. left at bottom of hill which will be Holmesville Road...and follow along river and into Holmesville. At Holmesville, left onto Market Street and at stop sign, right onto E Main. 2 stop signs and cross SR83...dangerous intersection with poor line of site to the right. Onto CR329....at stop sign, right onto CR318. Follow 318 to stop sign. Left at stop sign onto Centerville Rd. Follow it to stop sign. Intersection of SR514/226. Straight across onto SR226....Follow SR226 to SR179. North on 179 to stop sign and SR3...IRON PONY SALOON...steak place, not farkle sale place. Ride ends here...as I have no idea how long a 2 and a half pound steak takes to cook. I simply opted for the 1 pound burger with a butt load of fries....and lotsa coffee (40°...and lite rain a few miles back). Good time for all....waitress' name was Brandy...i think...then there was...Kelli...Suzi, .... is there a theme here?. Closed loop back to Danville by south on SR179 to SR39...left onto 39 into Nashville and right at lite...south onto SR514 back to Danville gas station (and ice cream....should you choose).

We'll be out and about...as always...in de woods...lemme know if you iz headed to area. Holmes, Kershocton, Knox, Ashland, Licking.....oh yeah...Whit's frozen custard in downtown Kershocton still open....ta ta.

Good to see you folks and had a good time....only finger tips got cold. All the animals liked the SV...noticed them all staring...one horse paced me while in his pasture area. Not me in the pasture area! The horse sprinting along side me on the other side of the fence. Ha on 2012 cattle herding....a few blips and piped them on their way...ya noticed the second one hit it up the hill and slipped back under the fence?

Wuz dere again...twice today...nice riding today. Sorry no advance announcement...screen would freeze up on this bd for some reason..last several days. Second time we headed out to back half of Fall Tour. So out from 11AM 'til 7Pm- ish. Dramatic reversal of roles....sportbikes didn'wave!?! Everyone else did.....even Amish boys on bicyles with them Stinger motors on them.....smiled as they were in a tuck going downhill. Great day out.

Psst. Fall Tour, Sunday, October 7. Iron Pony has pizza in basement. 2 and a half pound steak upstairs.....covered in onions, peppers, shrimp... That's why the ride ends there!

Blitz...ya need to do the Fall ride...I owe ya one helpin' us out. Just run up 586 to Martinsburg and 62 to Danville. Grayling....uhmmm, Hunter's Ice Cream parlor, Sorenson's drug store, the little restaurant across the street.....if ya turned left on main highway. (172?)after having lefta camp...it'd be Dingman's bar a few miles. Uhmmm, I heard about.....
