  1. Looks like a road trip to Troy in Sept....$90 for a ride...oh, oh And thanks for the links!
  2. One of these at Mansfield Lahm....used to see it out when i was at sportie car events....always sounded like it wasn't hitting on all the cyl, but would fly.
  3. It was nice. I missed the B25's at Urbana this year. Thanks for the Troy heads up.
  4. WACO annual fly-in....done...they are leaving in the morning. DVD done.
  5. B-Green. I use xx and sv. Commute is quiker on xx, sv much nicer in turns. Both, in my case, eat tires. Gas is about same, in my case again. I'm comfortable on both. Prices have the SV cheaper. I run country roads, with little city. xx does not like stop and go. Temp climbs in traffic. SV no temp gauge just guessing it doesn't like stop and go. SV lumps along. XX just does itz bizness with no complaints.
  6. Saw last nite that the vintage airplanes were gathering at Wyncoop Field in Mt. Vernon. Bi-planes. WACO aircraft built in 30's in Troy,Oh. So looks like this weekend. Take a kickstand pad...grassy field. Private sod airfield and public invited to view planes. Usually no charge, and a coupla food stands, but convenient to plastic food places up road in town. Off of SR661. Signing off.
  7. WACO airplanes....sitting at field NOW...putting up flags and banners. Must be this weekend....follow SR661 to Mt. Vernon....straight at indudtrial park with and Wyncoop Field.
  8. Oh yeah .... Whits available in Loudonville now too. In lil' corner restaurant on a main street across from bank.
  9. Usually the same weekend. June 16-18 range. The wall event was the nicest one. Seeing the traveling wall kinda hits ya. They have or had a dyno. Cost $10.00 to see watcha got in hp. Don't think it was there this time. I noticed they shortened the show area by one block. Prolee something to do with State Route. No detour with the way they blocked off road this year. The year of the Wall, they showed biker movies. It was the biggest one. They cut back for some reason....everyone I know there at a loss as to why? So maybe a rebuilding process. Only 5 rib stands. Jeph's (spelling?) outa Mt. Vernon was pretty good. Best ribs I ever had was from a coupla guys outa Cleveland somewhere. Haven' t seen them that last few years. Got their card somewhere, i think. Local events....Loudonville "Thunder", Coshocton Balloonfest, ya missed this one..weekend before Loudonville. Roscoe Village had a bike show, Corvette show, dulcimer....yadda yadda and so forth. They do quite a few events. Don' t forget the annual Fall Tour in October. Next one for me is the annual reunion of WACO aircraft. Small grass landing strip in Mt. Vernon. Sometime soon...Hey! 2tall, you got a firm date on this one? Aircraft from 30's that were built in Troy, Oh. Then there is a Poker Run of some sort from Crossroads church down Newark way....ends up with a free food eat at Dillon Lake. Never done a Poker Run on bike....coupla guys from down there want me to ride it. Lotz to do, almost every weekend. Sometimes I just open the door and ride with no destination in mind.
  10. Thanks. I like it! ..For that year that was the only color for US market. The titanium color looks nice as well. There is a bright blue one around here. The blue I was told not a US color, plus decal on it had Superbird, also not is US. Noticed it had Wayne Co. plates on it....rumor was it was the guy that owned Iron Pony Saloon. Couldn' t find owner though....not at street show Loudonville stuff....there is a Beemer S, that is sweet. He was there last year as well. Talked with a guy up from Carolinas and he had and old Kawi....air cooled 4 cyl. 800 cc? Very nice shape....sounded like he wanted toward sell it. I resisted temptation. Lotsa folks, and sorta like a county fair thing. Ya look at bikes and talk to peeple. Oh, and I apologize...I didn't get a chance to clean the redbird up from last weekend or Friday' s ride....so took it to Loudonville dirty.
  11. Few vendors, but southern guys love the Iron Pony Saloon....can't keep 'em away. They've made several runs up here since Steak Run. Plus Ed had his FREE hog roast 2 miies up the road. Free and Iron Pony' s full meal for about same price of food stands...no brainer fer me. Had to leave early....got text around 4...."we are leaving!" Home, bike in garage, clothes changed and sitting waiting on ride to arrive....now 4:10......so wife bitched about me not shaving, Ha! Got to show 10'ish and we went to Iron Pony around 3, maybe. Met lotsa folks and had a good time, but then i live around here. Smiles-a-lot.
  12. Not cranberry....candy glory red, and thanks. Too bad I missed ya. Got my pic in Ashland Gazette...photog there. I usually go to this outing. Still trying to figure out when the Biker Build Off is in Cambridge, prolee same weekend as Loudonville's gathering. Next weekend is Thunder in Valley at Johnston, Pa. Not going. Mags, I did my best to find an old Hawaian shirt...guess the wife has buried them!
  13. Sorry, just saw this. I had posted elsewhere "Thunder in Paradise". Parked in the shade by the 'army' tent. About 10 of us. AND itz true bar bands sound better the more ya drink. No drinking so just smiled at them alot. Free hog roast up the road...new shop opened. Harleys mostly. Does good work. Wife and I stopped in the nite before to wish him well. Lady (Brenda?)off has leather craft....nice work. I joked about having her do up a set of racing leathers toin look like a tuxedo (way old idea/pic)....she said she could do it!! Nice day outing...easy in and easy out. Old friends and new at thea annual gathering. Oh yeah...and the usual DVD made.
  14. Weekend cruise: South on SR60 from greater Killbuck metro area toa CR19/22 up over Spring Mtn. to Warsaw, back on SR60 to Dresden and Depot for snack...pathfinder mode....meandered west along SR 16, but not using it....roads above and below (north and south) took SR586 S to O'Bannion road...and popped out on SR146...gas near Blackhand Gorge. Stopped a bit at Gorge. Traveled south from Tobaso (spelling?)off and onto a wonderful cruiser road. County road with excellent pavement and eventually came out on SR668. More wanderings and concerns voiced by momma unit..."Where are we?"Maybe uhmm, nevermind. Ended up on SR40 (boring), but dashed off to Flint Ridge....park with pre-historic Indian quarry...for chipping off flint to make arrowheads. Eventually into Zanesville, but didn't stop at Tom's for ice cream. SR666 north and back to Dresden and SR60 and back home. Sunday breakfast run to Roscoe and found a Vette show going on. SR541 W, Momma getting confident on scoot....586 and Frazeysburg....Old Skool pizza. Some backroads and turn arounds....guess i need an adventure bike. More SR586 to 206 and a bit of 715, the chip and seal packed down enuff, but not sure enuff for go fasts. USR62 to Danville...gas and ice cream....514 to 520 and back home for chores. Later evening root beer float ride....running deer and paused to let it clear....later stop got question of: "Did you see the deer?" Yeah, i stopped right behind ya. No, I mean the one standing 4'on from the berm! Uh, no. Quiet weekend cruise and managed to get some work done around house too.
  15. Deleted duplicate.
  16. Loaded with finder....lol, as directions tell using phone to locate phone.....all together now....duh! Thanks Chevysoldier....all good info. Working thru my confusion on tracing a lost phone...without a computer handy. I like the shrill noise thing...can it pierce eardrums until they pack C4 into mobile devices?
  17. Looks like June 16th for the Loudonville big bike gathering.
  18. I'm up...momma unit may go again. Hell she went to Iron Pony Saloon....even with all the ...."It's a bar !?!" I'd low key it with one of the smaller bikes....the antiques are operable, just don't know if they would keep up with modern scooters. Speaking of which ... Aprilia has a new mega scooter @ 850 cc...looks a bit like BMW's new 650cc scoot....Ante up all...scooters abound. UP go for it...like how many times can a line of scooters dust a Harley dude? Go for it...go for it...go!
  19. Thanks....appreciate info.
  20. New one is covered....and they were not interested in my suggestion of putting a chunk of C4 in each new phone sold...with an activation code that could send a signal to stolen devices.
  21. Heads up! My Droid went walk-about Tuesday nite from work. Several hours until business day before i could contact service....they disabled, but heads up is...prolee thief can access my address and phone numbers....you folks on bd. .... may get strange items....worse than i send...it ain't me. And....they wouldn't track whereabouts of missing phone, even though they could...unless i ante'd up a fee of some sort or subscribed to more services that usually don' t work most of the time. Plus on all this....after several, "sir we don't appreciate that kind of language", is i gotz a new phone....AND, pics come up on this as well as new thread box.....hoo- hah.
  22. Even Holmes County had a Statie....wow....those wild and crazy Amish hellions in buggies - whippin it good!
  23. I vote fer Amish Country....Holmes, Coshocton, Knox counties.....but then i'm already there or is it here? Smiling.
