  1. No prob down here. I'll be following thru with being at the meet sites at the appointed times - not all have checked in. So just in case, I'll be there. Unless it rains or snows-----
  2. Okie Dokie Smokie. As it stands right now: 10AM meeting at USR62 and SR60 intersection, for Cleveland area folks. 11AM at Martinsburg USR62, SR541 and SR586 crossroads at the gas station/post office for Columbus and outer Ohio. Rain (or Snow) and it's go back to sleep or whatever as, WE AIN'T GONNA DO IT. Calls will be in early AM for travel from afar re: GO or NO GO. For those who's number's I got!
  3. No prob, will do...how early is early?
  4. Active road report iz: 3PM, 54* and pavement is dry in spots with partly sunny skies. Dressed lightly and felt cool, but comfortable, but it was only 10 miles. Would expect that the 'shaded' spots on hills will still be damp thru the day (even if sunny). Not much left on leafy things. Since rain and wind last nite. So call me in AM bright and early re: Rain and it is simply a NO GO!
  5. Saturday AM....7AM and it's JRMMiii's optimum 52 *, but with the wind driven rain. Noon, it's less than JRMMiii's quoted temp. It's 50*, but that rain looked a lot like snow!! I looked again-thermo says 50*, but ole weather station said 70 % humidity-uh, it's raining-ain't that like 100 per cent? Mother Nature is getting junk out of it's system so tomorrow will be great. Right?
  6. Everything is weather dependent. I figured you for plan B! PM them folks and you guys lemme know-just as a heads up. Thanks. 52 ain't cold.
  7. Send yer cards and letters folks! I'm enjoying the daily mail delivery with a mild amusement. I'm not sure if any of you get these humorous offerings. Recently I rec'd a mailing from Portugal, a barrister was willing to share with me the 10.8 million dollars he has found in Spain. Me being portrayed as the heir/inheritor as someone with the same last name as mine -having been swept away in the Dec.2004 tsunami. There are no immediate family members to claim the treasure. Only had to follow his explicit instructions. Today's mail brought: Letter addressed to me and my parents. Someone was excited, as I have been identified as one of the premier soccer players in the Akron area. Only have to attend a 50 minute meeting to hear of opportunities. Previously memtioned was Australia and the experience of the Trans Pacific Australia Cup, or China and the challenge of the Jade Asia Cup, or Sweden and competing in the largest youth soccer tourney in the World. I'm thinking that it's close enough to Halloween and I could dress up as a soccer player and keep my appointment in Akron. Kawi - too bad ya screwed up yer knee, leg foot or whatever- problee prevented you from getting your invite! Who woulda thought that the US Mail would be sooooo entertaining?
  8. JRMMiii-take an extra pair of socks - I ain't sure the beemer guys will share (if they don't whimp out too). Oh, extra sock-uh saw yer comment-so you know where to wear the second set. Kinda liking that BMW cigarette lighter hook up on the dash. Plug in yer gear right? K1300S has heated grips and such-plus (here comes JRMMiii and Sam -saw an article that put it with the Busa in performance) HOO-HA, Top speed and creature comforts (optional shift kit) Electronic suspension adjustment-two up? Push a button. Oh wait-where's that BMW string at again? I'm cranked for Sunday. Rain, Rain, go away. Halloween, so I'll be able to scare the littl beggars and get candy for us. It's great! They drop their S*#T on the porch and run. I love Halloween. Now if I could only nab that Santie guy at Xmas! I'll PM cell # - just remember it's the sticks here-cell phones and radios don't always work. TV and car radios even are at a loss in some locales. Riders can ya hear the banjos yet?
  9. I'm back. JRMMiii. SR83 comes thru Millersburg and splits off just south headed to Co-Knockton. USR62 goes right at that split. You would be following USR62 which came in at the square in Mlbg. USR62 intersects with SR60. Utica, Martinsburg 45 miles + or - from that intersection. Ya can't miss to meet point. It is at the second largest metro area in Holmes Co.!! Kawi-just a quik blast up 541 and then to Utica-or hang out in Martinsburg. Or just blast up SR83 and meet in Killbuckia! What 10 minutes from Co-knockton right? Remember how to get threr right? Alternate time of 11AM lets Cleveland and other points north sleep in (and temp come up a bit). I will meet the foolhardy northern Yankees at intersection of 62 and 60 at 10AM. KAWI: You could do a secondary meet up with JRMMiii/Unk Punk at Riverview. PM those two re: Plan B. I'm sitting in agreement with NO GO in rain. Check in via phones? I mean it's Ohio. I've looked out the back window at sun and walked out the front door into rain! Why have boring temperate climates and sun all day long!?? 52 ain't bad. December's issue of Fast Bikes will havea free beenie. Go to a book store and get the mag and yer free hat. It'll have acute lil' tag with Fast Bikes on it-start a cult thing! Wha-dd I miss?....I'll go back and read thru. Oh Yeah, From Columbus USR62 - I usually take 161 (think Iron Pony location and head east on 161). There is a detour because of College road (?)... get off at New Albany first exit (Bob Evans on right, Wendy's and Hortons a lil' farther down. Just to give you a visual on being on right road. You'll go left and then quik right at light. Should be easy to follow from there. However-mind yer speed on the new section from 270 split and thru New Albany. The detour ... You'll go thru the office campus then out into rural lane and then thru the neighborhood (one real nice S turn) and then pop back out onto USR62
  10. Shout to Pickering and Troy- Set up an 11AM meet time better for you folks? At Martinsburg? Or keep the restaurant in Utica-to eat before heading into the woods? Gas is at both places. Cleveland crew-meet where Unk Punk parked his bike that one weekend? Intersection of USR62 and SR60...I know you guys know where it is, I seen the posted pics! Say 10AM? Then we'll run 62 to Martinsburg/Utica. We will just drop into the backroads from Martinsburg. The original group that emailed was looking for back roads. Won't be doing gravel and mud. I will keep it on semi-civilized pavement. No loose stone (I think it's all packed in from this summer anyway). The last outing used state rts very little-jumped on to get to another county road. Tallied 225 miles for me last trip around the neihborhood This is more cruiser outing and rubber necking. Heck, I think Dave wants to do videos and burn a DVD (he likes the barns and such). City slickers... So sing out and we are a go. Rain? I dunno what weather be doin' Sunday? My bike don't like wet! It just goes straight and I keep yelling at it to turn. So no rain date...gimme yer thoughts on contact procedure morning of if there is bad weather. Save Southern Ohio as a back up for next weekend, if the leaves are holdin' out longer? I'm not as familiar with the area as here at Holmsie, Co-knockton, Knox and problee Licking. Thanks, nochnstrps for the suggestion.
  11. Leaf's prelim report-just in. Past peak, but still have colors running on ridges. Get down in the hollers and the rock faces are to be seen. So we got some brown with maroon, red and yellow/orange and the green of the pine trees. Columbus group - got a spot in yer town to hook up and then I'll pick ya up in Utica @ Pioneer Restaurant. Cleve. group (if any) Sing out-meet Millersburg, Killbuck? If the sun shines the colors that are there will pop! Covered bridges? Yay or Nay? Three easy enough, in a generous loop. Four if ya want Mohican area too. Two are real easy. Photo ops a plenty. later,
  12. motorcycling site(?) www.thenewspaper.com. Hunt thru-older articles...to get to stories, punch in Gatso once there and hit GO. Interesting these speed cameras; Parked truck gets 45 speeding tickets (the one day it was parked, I guess), vigilante (spellin?) destroying, burning cameras and now cmaeras to watch the cameras, and that was in quiet ole England. You can't make this stuff up! Speaking of England-fight going on-authorities consider the speed camera pics as copyrighted. Seems a cyclist somehow got a hold of some the camera pics he was cited with, pics and worked the math-distance-time and came up with 30 mph speed not the 38 he got ticketed for. Won his court case, but the authorities are still pursuing; 1) insisting that he was speeding, dispite the court acquittal, and 2) threatening legal action against guy for posting them on internet with explanation on why wasn't speeding - or maybe how he was able to beat the camera in court. Anyway-village is claiming they are copyrighted pics and demanding that they be removed from Internet or they will pursue legal.... So much for traffic safety, eh? If it is a repost sorry, I'm out in the sticks ya know.
  13. I'm here and will post y'all on things.
  14. Uh, anyone interested in a Sunday ride? I just got an email from some folks in Columbus and they wanna ride this weekend. I'm for Sunday-and waiting for confirmation from them re: mtg. where and when. Touring folks so just a relaxed pace and see the leaves-still some left around here. I usually meet them in Utica at the Pioneer restaurant (or Martinsburg). Travel is in/thru Holmes, Coshocton, Knox, Tusc. Usually. Hanging it out there. I'll know more when they message me back.
  15. So when ya bringing it thru? I'll stand on the square and wave as you head South. Last time I was leaning right as you folks were leaning left-uh no politico lean or ramifications, just a lil' peace sign from the red leaning bike. Did find Jim up at station though.

  17. Thanks Mags, great write up. So replacement speakers gonna be chrome?
  18. www.udreplicas.com Oops Now I see a thread running elsewhere on bd for this. Sorry I missed it.
  19. Ditto on all the above-says the Killbuck Kid, aka lil' carbs. Uh, CR19, which part there's three ya know? See a local for your tour guide needs, or a least pop for a buck at the county engineer's office for the pretty colored county road maps. ;>) This weekend was meet folks at Utica/Pioneer restaurant and meander them back to local area. 586 s to 79 to Warsaw and one part of Cr 19 then yet another Cr to pop out on 62 and then 520 to 514 to wander back to 715 (36) and then way everywhere to 541 and brought the tourists back to Martinsburg. Pointed them home from there. So looks like we missed ya folksies, even though we was buzzing the same area. Jeez Adam, check yer PM.
  20. Nostalgia weekend-fergot my earplugs, but just plain fun anyway.
  21. I was just down there the other day. Nuthin' exciting like you had. Just a great ride and poked around in area-riding buddy spent lotsa time down there. Glad to hear that the oil cap got resolved and even nicer to hear that 'friendly' focus to help someone in need.
