  1. Im typically wayyyyy laid back to be honest. I think this week it just must be wedding jitters or something Jeff

    The RX 7 Store

No love for that incredibly time-consuming AN adapter for your fuel line? LOL J/K Joe -- glad they are taking good care of you over there. As soon as you pop it come see me about a LS6 swap Until then, keep the rotarys as far away as possible... Jeff
  3. I honestly appreciate your opinion and will take it to heart. Thanks for the post... Jeff
  4. THANK GOD -- a voice of reason The only thing I would edit would be "We didnt get paid to tune a hackjob car so hence we did not vs having difficulty doing so" Aside, from that, you hit the nail on the head. Jeff
  5. I apologized for my tone in the posts and I was being sincere. Justified or not, I was just posting the reasoning behind why this wasnt a simple: "Oh, I am very sorry you had a bad experience here. What can we do to change your mind and make things better?" Remember, this is all MONTHS and MONTHS old. We have already been down that road. The answer to that question is "Tune and/or diagnose the ARC2 issues for free as we have no money to pay you to do so. Mind you, we are asking nicely for this free service AFTER we decided to void a legal contract and disappear with $1200 of your money for over 6 months and made you waste countless hours of phone calls, Voicemails, and even consultation attorney fees as to how you should go about trying to get your money back from us because we were too busy to get back to you" Again, the customer may be always right, but not this time Jeff
  6. Then you obviously didnt read my "War & Peace" Re-cap (and i dont blame you as I wouldnt have either). The reason for my obviously pissed-off tone was not just the time-frame of when the car was delivered to when a girlfiend posted, but mainly due to the fact that THEY DID NOT WANT ANY TUNING OR WIRING looked at MONTHS ago when the car was here as they couldnt afford to pay for it. How can you post complaining about something you couldnt afford to have us take care of? Its mind-boggling to me and I did nothing to mask it (I still cant comprehend the logic)... Let me post about how bad Wendys sucks in a thread on how someone else loves them because all I had was $2 for a 5-piece nugget and a small diet coke but I REALLY wanted a Frosty too (since its so hot) but couldnt afford it. They didnt make me happy by cooling me off and giving me a sugar-fix and I should tell everyone I know they suck? Sure... Jeff
  7. The scary thing is its stupid simple. Her original "Took 8 months" thing has been proven to be beyond false (Even by the dates posted by the actual owner). Only other argeuemnt is bad wiring so its a simple matter of who did it. I remember it being so bad that Ryan made WV shop jokes for an hour and even borrowed the camera to take pics and I just cant find them anymore since thats been so long ago. If the selective memory about who actually did the wiring of the ARC2 were to cure itself there is nothing at all to post about. All the novels and it boils down simply to who wired up an air/fuel controller blind-folded LOL. Jeff
  8. SO SO SO Very true Damn that made me laugh... Jeff
  9. THanks for all the replies. Ill take all of the advice and be happy knowing we have established enough of a repuatation that one off-the-wall post isnt going to change anyones perception of us. It just kills me to not defend us (esp when a post is all based on selective memeory like in a thread on here now) but once its gone back-and-forth a few times I always wish I had never said anything. Whos right or wrong quickly becomes irrelevant and it just turns into some sort of political campaign add or something lol. Anyway, thaks again for all the feedback and advice is taken. Jeff
  10. Actually, what I posted about you being from Lima is that Jeremy is from Lima so my assumption was you are a friend of his. Whatever else you are inferring from it is on you. This whole ARC2 debate (which your whole "Camp" is turning into me making fun of your intelligence or tuning prowess) is rather funny in that we cant stand the thing. I dont sell them. Every car that has come in with one has left with something else (except Jeremys) so its not a "We are so much better than you" because you cant tune an ARC2. My car had one for 3 months. Every other day it would run like hell and then once a week or so not at all. I got so sick of the plug changes and all the unneccessary "work" involved in making the car run right with it that I sold it a huge loss and bought an EMS. Havent regretted it for second. I told Jeremy before the car ever even was dropped off we wouldnt charge him to tune it for this very reason. Just because it was running great when it left didnt mean anything for the following day and I didnt want "The car running like crap ever since" getting thrown in my face. As it turned out, he didnt have the money to do it anyway so it was all a moot point. Next, even though again, your whole "Camp" is turning me saying you own a CRX into some sort of slam or bashing or whatnot. Well, its quite the contrary actually. I was simply pointing out that there isnt a CRX or Honda on earth that is tuned via an ARC2 so that leads me to safely believe you have little to no experience with it. It is a 3000/Stealth invention and to my knowledge its used on almost nothing else and for very good reason. So again, get your panties all in a bunch about it as much as you like, but I was simply inferring you have no experience with one outside of Jeremys. Care to argue that point? My only joke (Which is all it was) about your "Intelligence" was your avatar and post not matching up in terms of age vs graduation year. Thats it. If thats all it takes for you to get so worked up stop posting on the internet. Facts: 1) The car did not take 8 months to finish -- it was here a total of 5 (4 of which was waiting on a block and heads to come back) --- The GF has posted 8 numerous times --- Jeremy posted 5 months under her name 2) The heads were sent out the day AFTER we got confirmation Mitsu was going to cover the shortblock and took just over 40 days to finish. 3) Once the heads were done and both they and block were sitting here whatever was in process in the shop at the time was finished and it was started on immediately. 4) Car was completely finished. Fluids in, Battery recharged, everything ready to go but it wouldnt fire. It would turn over fine and sputter but the plugs just got killed with fuel and we had to repeatedly pull them and clean them and reinstall to get it close again. The Split Second A/F meter did nothing. No back and forth lights. No lights period. Odd. So we looked into its wiring first to see there was a wire just hanging on and making no connection at all. Fixed that and it worked. Car still wouldnt start. Looked into the ARC wiring and it was a complete mess. Terrible connections everywhere, electrical tape just sorta there, you name it. We "Corrected" enough to make the unit work (The car finally started) and that was it. No more no less no nothing. Post about it being wired wrong all month long as it has nothing to do with me. 5) Car starts and idles fine. We put it through its break-in paces and within a day its still acting all crazy. It runs fine then shuts down. It wont keep an idle. CEL pops on and stays on. Scan it and its showing a bad ECU. Pull the case off the ECU and there is a fried capacitor. We order it in and hence the delivery date was delayed until it arrived. Pop it in and the car runs great with very minimal tuning required on the ARC. We drive it for a few days just to make sure everything is fine and tell Jeremy to come get it. 6) We let Jeremy take the car with just shy of $1200 being owed. 7) Jeremy calls the next week and says that all the sudden it feels like its missing or down a cylinder. Hes over an hour and a half away in Lima. Instead of telling him what to check and what to look for over the phone (Contrary to popular belief, just because you work on a car doesnt mean you are 24/7 Tech support from that point forward) I had 2 techs drive to Lima to look at it. It was running so crazy rich it had killed the plugs so we cleaned the front 3 well enough to get it back to the shop and make sure thats all it was. We get it back here and it was a plug swap and a bad MSD wire causing the issue. Problem solved and car picked up again with an additional $100 paid toward the $1100+ and we still let him take it. 8) No communication at all from Jeremy. He signed a legal document stating a guaranteed payment of "X" in 30 days and the balance in 60 days. At 90+ days i started calling. No answer. Left message after message after message. No response. (If youd like for me to post my phone bill with your 740 # on it 80+ times with less than 30 seconds on it (Voicemail) I will be more than happy. Finally it was pretty obvious I got scammed for trying to be nice. My phone calls started getting MUCH LESS polite. No response. Finally, I politely reminded him that my guys drove up there to look at the car and if it took me driving to Lima to talk in person I would be up later that day. Miraculously, I get a return call about how his phone has been acting up (of course) but that hes not paying because the car is running like shit. Imagine that. Not one phone call. Not one email. Not one PM or IM or smoke signal in well over 6 months and yet hes not paying because the car isnt running right??? Pissed-off on my part would be an EXTREME understatement. 9) Jeremy decides he wants to send the car to atleast 2 other places to get second opinions before he agrees to send it back. I tell him its my feeling this is simply a stall-tactic to buy him time since he flat out admitted he still didnt have the money. He says he will have the little tour complete in a couple weeks and will have it towed down. Months go by and again no word. Call and call and call and call and guess what? No answer AGAIN until I have to start getting pissed off on the phone. Jeremy answers and the car hasnt moved an inch (I was shocked) but someone would be looking at it soon. 10) 3 Weeks later I make him a deal. If the supposed oil leak, bad ECU, bad MAF, bad CAS, or anything else wrong with the car had ANYTHING to do with this shop Id cover the $200 tow. He agrees and its towed down. We change the plugs. Tweak the ARC2 for 5 minutes and the car starts up and idles fine. We drive it for 3 days and it runs *almost* flawlessly but it does need tuned to eliminate a part-throttle stutter. Jeremy doesnt not want to pay to have us do this and said he would take care of it. We swap in 3 other TT ECUs and the car runs the same on all of them. Its not an ECU or MAF or CAS or anything -- its the ARC2 and/or its wiring. He didnt want to pay to have it looked into -- hence we didnt look into it. 11) Car is picked up the following day (Friday night) and he drives back to Lima. I talk to Jeremy the next day and the car is still running fine. 12) No phone call. No email. No PM. No IM. No communication of any kind from that day however long ago up until his girlfriend starts posting in this thread now. Those are the facts and twist and turn and massage them all you want -- they are undisputable. I wasted my whole lunch typing this so Im done. Since you dont have any desire to contact us here (I cant imagine why) keep posting whatever you want in the hope of convincing someone that we actually do suck. Jeff
  11. Yep, it was a thread-jack from the get-go and I apologized for my "tone" in my responses and its still getting brought up so Im done with it. Ive offered to have them call, IM, PM, contact me/the shop direct and of course they dont want to do that. Jeff
  12. If its someone saying/posting something about me personally that is EXACTLY how I see it. When its against the shop for some reason it completely changes for me because its *possibly* effecting much more than our reputation in terms of lost business down the road. I dunno. Suggestion noted though... Jeff
  13. Obviously Ive kinda refrained from posting on here and most forums strictly due to lack of time. However, the Colt/his PR Guy bringing up John's Z06 every chance they got made me start to post a bit more on some of the thinking/reasoning/and what exactly is going on with the car. Now, all that aside, Im curious on posts made on forums (this one or any other you are on) about a specific shop's work or ethics or parts sales or whatever. Just so that its a post in some negative context about any given shop/business. My question is how much you tend to read into it? Does it depend on who is posting (Ie: some long-standing member or some kid with 2 posts from some other city that cant even make why hes pissed make sense) or is it a kinda "Strike" system to where one post can be a fluke but 2 or 3 and then regardless of reading them there might be something to it? My next question is whether said shop responding and posting up its side (which inevitably turns into a 4 page back-and-forth flame fest) does any good or does it make it worse? Its just extremely frustrating that any 13-yr old kid with a skateboard can get pissed at you (a shop) because his mom grounded him that day and he called IPS to ask about a crazy fast colt hes modding for when he turns 16 since he only needs to save up $5k and we tell him its impossible and he posts about how stupid we are and how much we suck on every little forum he can find and its either our job to waste time to make sure everyone understands why we said/did what we said/did or just let it ride and hope most people see thru it. Just wanted to get some feedback to decide on letting stuff go in the future and not even bothering to respond or if there is any use in making sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that said shop didnt do anything to deserve what is being posted/said. Of course this is all hypothetical but Im just curious, Jeff
  14. Karma is a bitch. I finished up my lemonade, went back out to finish up my yard work and instantly got stung 3 times by the same damn fuzzy yellow bumble-bee. After dancing around the yard like a lunatic I came to a conclusion: I was wrong and I apologize. I take back everything I said. Jeff
  15. She was posting every 5 minutes and now dead silence. Odd. No phone call. No IM. No PM. Nada. Even called her boyfriend and no answer. I was honestly looking forward to that conversation too. Oh well... I just hope my fiance believes every last thing I tell her about my car too -- like how Ive really only got $5-8k invested in the whole thing
  16. Instead of posting all day long and just making the hole that much deeper why dont you call the shop so we can discuss your infinite knowledge of ARC2 wiring. Sound fair? Shop # is 614-444-5884 or PM me your # and I will call you... EDIT: Or sign on IM since you are obviously online. As much as Id love to continue this back and forth publicly it is getting quite old. Please do one of the three or do not reply to this again.
  17. This is Jeff's Girlfriend posting BTW Never had any issues with the ARC2 or its wiring? You obviously havent been dating him long lol. I guess that also explains when we wasted an entire day trying to get it to fire why it wouldnt even come close right? We had no desire / need / want to even touch that silly ARC let alone have to dig into the wiring but we had no choice because you cant just pull it with larger injectors in the car or it doesnt run. We called Jeremy and let him know the issue and let him know we would do however little we could just to get the unit to work and he could clean up the wiring at a later date. If by that he wanted to wait til now Vs 12 months ago thats 100% up to him. Since you werent even in the state at the time im sure youd like to debate that conversation as well huh? Do you really want the person that sent him here in the first place to post about how shitty the car ran and then consequently blew-up before it was towed here? Keep going and keep pretending like you know everything that happend and yet another one of your arguements will get blown to bits. Its hot as hell right now and Im sick of yard-work so keep it up!
  18. It has nothing to do with professionalism whatsoever. Post about something you know nothing about online and try to present yourself like you do and expect to be called on it. Pretty simple. No different than me posting about a specific car that left Buschur based on what a friend of a friends 3rd-cousins uncle told me about how screwed up it was. I dont care if its bad or not, post all you want as long as its accurate. You have two people posting (a girlfriend and what I can only assume to be a friend) that have proven to know little/nothing of what was done to the car before it came here and what very little we actually did/charged for. If the actual owner of the car cares to post about something that was delivered to him almost a year ago (not sure why we are even talking about now) then by all means.... The closest thing even he could possibly complain about was his car getting broken into while it was here last year. Luckily, aside from a broken drivers glass and missing stereo equipment that was all that was done. It sucks, but its one of those things that happen when a car cant be stored inside for "X" months at a time awaiting Mitsu to approve/disapprove a shortblock on a warranty issue. If someone wants to post that we suck because of that then so be it -- at least it would be the first factual complaint in the whole thread....
  19. Actually neither. We didnt install it in the first place. We also didnt un-install it. The car wouldnt even start with the new engine put back in so after adjusting the settings of the ARC2 50 times (go ahead and highlight that part on the bill for us please) we took the console apart to look at all the wiring/connections. Like CRV-dude said, it looked like a 2nd grade science project gone terribly wrong. We spent as much time in correcting the wiring so that all the connections were solid so that ARC2 even worked, and left it at that. Trust me, it would have been a helluva lot more than 2 hours to pull all that mess out, go through it, and start all over with the install. Anything else youd like to bring up you obviously know nothing about?
  20. Could you be any more vague? "Phantom CRX" and you are talking about 3/S stuff as if you had any idea what you are talking about. I have no clue whos car you are talking about but since we have never installed an ARC2 at the shop in the 3+ years weve been in business, Im guessing this is still about Jeremys stealth. If so, you should probably know his ARC2, boost controller (that did look straight outta 1976) and all his other electronics were installed long before it got to us. All we did was an engine swap and everything in the interior, electronics, wiring, yada yada was left untouched. Critique whatever WV shop that did it all you want, but it sure wasnt us.... Tell you what Mr. CRX, if you have all these invoices, all these pictures, and all this "Proof" of how much we suck start your own thread so I can make you luck dumber than the girlfriend in that one. Deal? EDIT: Nevermind, dont bother. A 4 second search on your boardname on here tells you really do drive a CRX, graduated from High School in '02, and live in Lima (imagine that) so there is no longer any need. Only thing im kinda curious about is your Avatar stating you are 27? Graduated in '02 and you are 27? That Algebra 1 is a bitch huh? LOL.
  21. Your boyfriend bought an air/fuel controller he has no clue how to tune and it had to be towed all the way back here for us to change the plugs (since they were beyond fouled) and tweak the ARC-2 for 5 minutes and it started right up and ran fine. Plug changes are Maint 101 for a 3/S so if you cant get the car to run right with the ARC2 sell it and buy something a little easier to figure out. I told Jeremy that the first day he brought the car here and then again 8 months later when he finally paid for it.... All the hours on the phone about fried ECUs and bad MAFs and bad this and that and all that was needed was a 1/2 Hour Plug swap -- yeah, that car was REALLY scrwed up LOL. Jeff
  22. LOL -- Id really really make you look silly but Im E-battled out this week. I dont even need to comment aside from asking you one question. Before posting about your "Boyfriends Car" that you obviously know nothing about please include the following or I will and make you look just a wee bit (more) ignorant: 1) The date the car was dropped off 2) The date that Mitsu FINALLY approved the new shortblock 3) The date that his damaged heads came back from the machine shop (so that we could actually START working on it) 4) The time period from that date (heads back) until it was up and running and delivered. And then since you felt like bringing it up, also include the # of months from the day it was delivered until the the day the bill was FINALLY paid -- THAT is where you are getting that 8 months from Jeff PS -- Dont bother responding unless you plug in the above dates accurately... PPS -- Yes, I do know the dates (all in his file) so guess away!
  23. 7 Months later and the same response is still surprisingly a perfect fit. Its amazing how long things take to do when you are not allowed to use JB-Weld, Duct Tape, Super Glue, Coat hangers, or Coffee cans isnt it? Nevermind, its a lost cause arguement. I take back my statement about preferring to just talk in circles with you, send back your PR Guy again... Jeff
  24. First, I really dont care if I have had the chassis for 8 years, without an engine its a mere paperweight. We have had the engine in our possession for less than 2 months so I know we are outside Colt assy timeframes, but by no means have we been sitting around Johns car for 8 months just scratching our heads as to how to make everything fit. We are no happier about being 3 months behind right now than John or anyone else, trust me. We have our personal cars we would like to get to at some point this year and until some of the larger project cars finish up that is an impossibility. We have a pretty good ballpark on when we expect the car to be up and running and ready to be dynoed. How that correlates into when John will be comfortable racing JP is up to John. Rushing him into racing the Colt right outta the box is a good strategy on your part but its not going to happen. A faster/stronger car can still lose very easily to just about anything if the driver cant control it or isnt comfortable in it at those levels. Once John has made a few pulls, raced a few people, and got comfortable with the car in the upper boost levels Im sure he will be more than happy to set something up. Lastly, Ive never even met JP in my life. I only reply to him / his posts on a VERY rare basis because its a total waste of time to try to "Debate" anything with him. In proof of that here is my last post having anything to do with him (aside from the last week) from Nov 1st of last year: "I decided not to reply anymore in attempt to spare everyone from trying to interpret his responses. Ive seen people say they just type fast and dont really care that much (which i do all the time too so i understand) but in one post you can pretty much tell how freakishly stupid he is. And just when you think he almost HAS to be kidding, its there again, and again. Its painful. No wonder he works at a pool. Can you imagine his resume? LOL. I bet Greg had it pretty close: "lijbfw ;oihefoih ihf hfh phih'ihihoi ipohh ihfh ih hph'hwoih hoifhih, ohoohhfo. poirgoh hfih hf pfpiohfp hjf jp fj p ppojpjp jojjpojwp jp j ujj jfwww. piifejjfpjfp ojf [ojfj jfj ojfj jf jjw]ieutyuto ;mclmojfjfj." Maybe some day he'll memorize the phrase "Wood u lik friyes wit that?" That was almost 7 months ago now. For someone with such hard-on for him Im not doing a very good job of showing it am I? Or is it the PR Rep is still working on an extensive seach of the entire intraweb to come up with da prooof? You might want to help him out with that...Maybe make up a fake PM or two or something? Trust me, its not personal whatsoever on my end -- its strictly for entertainment purposes Jeff
  25. Nor would I as that would be 100% amateur hour...
