Tell you what. Just for giggles, outside of the past week or so (whenever the last coulple Colt threads started) quote me replying/talking/referencing/anything about JP or the Colt on here or Race Club or Col-DSM or OMGCOLTSROXXORS.com or anywhere else. Line them up. I have been much too busy to get involved in all the e-drama but since once again, your implications that Tilleys car is just sitting over in a corner for 8 months collecting dust reflects negatively on my shop, you got me to start making sure people knew what was actually happening on our end. We first looked at every kit currently available. If you cant improve upon one there is no sense in developing your own imo. A kit like the PTK for example, places the turbos right on top of the engine and even though it has more of a "Bling" factor, it also heat-soaks the entire engine bay. There have also been numerous thread on paint issues on the hoods, melting costly electronics, yada yada. The HP kit places the turbos in the fenders which makes going larger a bit easier, but a lot of the plumbing is complicated and far less than ideal. The LPE / TTi set-up of keeping the turbos down low (a la stock 300ZX TT) was the best for ease of exhaust routing, heat issues, and "stock-ish" engine bay appearance. Only real downside is niether use turbos even remotely close to the size of a 35R and we werent willing to do this project using anything less. Its taken a bit of engineering and a bit of fabrication but its all coming along just fine. It will also be tuned by a set-up no one has even tried on a C5 (at least that we are aware of) yet so should be a pretty unique set-up when its all said and done. Just because 5000 people havent done it on the "Forums" doesnt mean there isnt a better way to do it or things cant be improved upon Jeff -

Of course he did. Just because the car is up and running and dynoing "X" doesnt mean any of us are in any rush whatsoever to go race a Colt. Like Ive said before, there are PLENTY of fast shitboxes down here and more than enough fast cars to let John get used to the car and used to the power before even thinking about your little show pony. Is that such a difficult concept to grasp? And as far as the whole "Youve had the car for 8 months" Im not even going to bother to reply as its quite clear financial status has no effect on reading comprehension up north. Oh, and I 1000% agree, you playing PR rep for the colt is getting wayyyyyy old. If it wasnt for the correct spelling and punctuation I *almost* prefer to talk in the same stupid circles with him lol. What is it like to be a PR rep for a broke high school kid with a fast colt? Im honestly curious... Heres some good advice. Why dont you loan dipshit $10,000 to start his own little "Buy Here Pay Here" used car lot for turn-key 150mph trapping cars for $5,000 and he might make you a buck instead of losing you a grand. Just make sure you have a very strict "As-Is" warranty and Im sure you will do quite well Jeff

We arent exactly running on here posting pics every single time something new is done / changed / added / subtracted / revised / fabbed / etc etc. The goal isnt to sell a picture book on how to do a large twin turbo set-up in a C5, its to get a customers car done as quickly as possible with the space (or lack-there-of) we have to work with to make the desired power we want. A few select pictures will be posted after its up and running for those curious to see a couple "in process" pics but that will be it. Jeff Oh, and just because its getting HIGHLY annoying, for those that dont realize it Brett doesnt work here during the day so him posting 1000 times before 5 o'clock doesnt effect progress on Johns or anyone elses car here for one second. There are 4 guys in the back doing the work that havent posted on here or anywhere else during work hours because they are all quite busy. -

Having Johns car for a long time and having his engine for a long time are two entirely different things. All the speculation in the world doesnt compensate for physically having the engine here to test clearances / tolerances and make decisions on what we need to do to get everything properly set-up. Keep pretending we are going so sloooowwwww all you want with its progress, especially since you dont have any idea about what is being done on a daily basis. Oh, and whether I post online 24/7 or once a year, the timeline on anyones car (not just Tilleys) doesnt change one second. Thanks for playing... Jeff

I can just see it now -- "Oh shit, the colt ran xx @ xxx mph now we need to pull the egine out and sell it really quick to go with a big block and a GT47R to win that $100 bet" I know you have the built-in excuse of the Cleveland public schools lack-of-education but think a little bit before you post again... Ill translate. JPs out streetracing every single night on 12psi and pump gas against 17 second cars to make himself seem like the street racing legend while Tilleys car is still down. "Low boost" on a 2.0L GT42 is mid/high 20s so that thing has got to be so rediculously slow Im amazed you found a stock civic to pull on. He knows one real run against a fast car that will require big boost means the odds of it driving home are less than him winning a 2nd grade spelling bee. His powerband is so disgustingly small without 35+psi or a huge shot of nitrous from a dig Sam will destroy him and even though hes dumber than a rock, I think even he is smart enough to realize this. If he "trys" to win his car will break more parts than hes supposedly paid for LOL. Like I told Gunner, toss on the 250-shot and weld the head to the block because hes going to need it just to try to keep up Oh, and since we are the ones putting the new "parts" on Sams car, and it will be done in less than a week (assuming they show up on time) you can keep running your mouth all you want about us taking forever. One set-up is a wee-bit more complicated than the other and we're not about to rush decisions and our work so that a true badass street car can go race a quick shitbox. The colt will break 5 times before the race regardless and if its down while were up then there are plenty of other fast shitboxes down here to run. Besides, I think John would rather race $5k bikes than $5k cars Jeff

Maybe in JUST broken/rebuilt parts this past year. Ray bought that car from GT Pro with the custom Manifolds/Turbos/Fuel/Crazy paint etc etc already 100% done. I know Ray has made a few minor changes but the bulk of his expenditures have been strictly due to engine/tranny/t-case issues. I have no clue what he bought the car for but all said Id guess hes easily got $60k+ in it with as much as hes had to replace the past year or so.... Jeff

What are you tuning with? (Air/Fuel Controller). 15Gs will make the car quite a bit quicker than stock so you should have fun with it for the summer. However, when you get bored of the little TD04s let me know Jeff

We are very happy to have Greg aboard to help us keep up with our ever expanding parts and service calls. Our parts fabrication dept. has really taken off and were just too busy to keep up with the phones with just 2 of us trying to answer them. Parts sales in general have more than tripled in just the last few months (since late winter) and this will help out tremendously in keeping up with door/phone traffic. In additon to this, we have been working on as many Mustangs and LS1/6 cars over the past few months as we have Import so its nice to have another very intelligent domestic guy around As far as nitrous goes, come and get it! We are going to be picking up a couple extra mother bottles just so that we will always have plenty on hand and we will also be offering race gas in 5-Gallon containers for anyone wanting to find easy access to it as well. Id actually like to know too. Mine isnt bad but id like to have the bumpers replaced at some point and a cool OSU scarlet/gray thing done at some point. Ive spent less than 3 seconds looking but wasnt sure who could do it locally either...
