Buy a house, for sure. Do a 15 or 20 year mortgage if you can, and pay on it every two weeks, when you normally get a paycheck. That extra payment helps knock down the principal and thus your total mortgage life even more. Sure, you'll have to be responsible for repairs and such, but more often than not, it's nothing crazy. Just don't get in over your head with what you can afford. I bought my first house at 25, my current one at 28, and I'll have it paid off before I'm 50... :nod:

My wife is a runner, she's ran a few marathons. The shoes are so important, you have no idea. However, if you are serious about running, you don't go to Dicks or whatever. Go to Fleet Feet or Second Sole or a similar "running" store. They will make you run on their treadmill and sell you the correct shoes for your running style. :nod: Also, if you are heavy (I'm not sure if you are, I'm just giving advice), you might want to think about doing the eliptical at a gym more than running. First time I tried to run a few months ago, my ankes and shin splints were killing me. It was just too much pounding on those parts of my body. So I started using the eliptical instead; no impact on your knees/shins/etc. Just my $0.02 and keep up the good work...

Playing a drop in ice hockey (basically a pick-up game, people show up and you play a game) this morning at the Dublin Chiller, someone made an ill advised back hand pass directly into my face. I wear a half shield, which protects my eyes, but not my mouth. A couple of stitches and some "glue" later, I was good as new. Never knew there was "glue", which takes the place of a lot of stitches. It was pretty deep, almost all the way through my lip, and about 1/2 way to my nose. Didn't bleed too bad, but I had to leave to go get fixed. Being the nice guy that I am, I went home, showered, and then went into Urgent Care so they didn't have to smell me while fixing me up. Here's a good close up pic: http://www.wease.net/pics/Lip1.JPG

Hopefully a good one that won't scratch the hell out of my blower snout. Dyno Brian has one, but I haven't been able to get a hold of him today. I need one for the pulley swap (Finally! ) on my Cobra. Anyone have one I can borrow over the next couple of weeks? I'm not sure when I'll be doing it, so I might need it for a week or two. Preferably someone up on the north side of town, like Delaware/Powell/Dublin/Worthington area, if possible...

I removed a lot of TV out of my life because of the internet. TV used to be my entertainment, as it is for most people, but I hardly watch it because I'd rather be surfing message boards or playing a game... :nod:

I stopped by, but was much too late. Got there around 5:00 and most everyone had left...

If that was one thing I'd change about Ohio, it would be more places to go boating. Every year on CR I'm always reading about someone f'n up their boat in one of the "lakes" around here...
