  1. I heard the story last night at midnight when Clay was picking up the LT4 knock sensor from me. I wasn't envious.
  2. Here is a trick for you, and is the ONLY reason we are now in contract on our house: Odd numbering. The bank is going to come back with a best and final offer for all who have bid. What you need to do is come up with your max. Say they are asking 260k for the house. You are willing to go to 275k, max. Don't offer 275k, offer $275,357, or better yet $276,357. People think they are cute, by offering $1 more than the an even number. Do some odd number a couple hundred bucks ahead. We got our home by only couple hundred above the next highest bidder. Of course, you have to be realistic in your bid too.
  3. And my friend has a 1000HP Camaro...what is your fucking point? Nutswinging is a ricey trend. And yes, a 350HP Civic is still just a Civic.
  4. Then maybe you should have left it stock. It is an Accord, afterall.
  5. I can vouch for the hard drives I bought off of Chris...I picked up four 160GB's off of him 7 months ago, and they have been running perfect in a RAID 0 ever since. If I wasn't on a toy spending freeze right now, I'd buy these too!
  6. How bad is it rusting? My mom bought her Civic new in 95...got the typical rust issues around the rear quarters, exhaust rusted off, numerous parts replacement for a car that probably doesn't even have 100k on it now, and spent a few years garaged. Gave it to my brother (who luckily drives like a sissy, so he hasn't broken anything on it). Nothing really "bad" has happened to the car, luckily...that said, it was basically a stripper DX with A/C (not even a factory stereo, no power steering, manual windows/locks/etc.) so there is a lot less stuff to break on it. It was a good buy for her, and she ended up with a 2-door Accord with some options this time, but nothing I'd write home about. I wonder when her Accord will start rusting (01 she bought very low mileage a couple years ago).
  7. Were you really lame enough to quote 0-60 times?
  8. I have a set of 17x9.5" Konig Flights. All 4, two have decent tires, two tires are worn out. $300. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=171&pictureid=1031 Those are the fronts, but I have all 4, just not a picture of all of them online.
  9. Here is another true ricer defending his kind. Give all the excuses you want...you put a fart can on your Honda. PLEASE give us a mod list.
  10. Yeah, if you are running a business, you damn well should be backing up you stuff on a regular basis.
  11. Why not kill Saab? The whole lineup is outdated and in desperate need of MAJOR dollars to update it, and no one is buying the shit. Saab wouldn't be missed. Put the H2/H3 in as Chevy's, and kill them. Kill Buick in the US, and make it an overseas brand. Kill GMC in the US, and up the volume of Chevys. Re-focus Saturn as the "green" brand. Keep Caddy as-is. Refocus Pontiac as the sporting, nice, and slightly lower cost than the Germans alternative. Make Chevy a better Honda/Toyota competitor. Sell more brands across every dealership to make sales more efficient. And GET RID OF THE FREAKING UNIONS...ALL OF THEM. If that's not done, everything else is in vain.
  12. You are called a ricer because you have a big fart can on your Honda. /thread
  13. WTF? Keep GMC, a brand that is nothing more than re-badged Chevy trucks. Keep Buick? Who the fuck is buying a Buick?
  14. What is cheap, looks okay, and doesnt really matter if it helps grow stuff or not (other than not killing any bushes). Our new place needs a LOT of mulch. Did I mention cheap?
  15. Wing nuts and swap plates between trailers. Do you think cop looks anything beyond a trailer plate with a current sticker. They care more about the vehicle doing the towing (at least non-commercial stuff). Even if they pull it up, it's a trailer with your name registered to it, as trailers don't have VIN's and titles.
  16. Sensor shouldn't be expensive to replace either...you can get a decent garage door opener kit for $150, and that's everything.
  17. PM me your address, and I'll see what I can have the business sales reps come up with for a price through WOW, if we have plant that can feed your building.
  18. ONR could mean "Honor" or "Owner" with reference to having ownership of one. Or could just be a shit talker......

I'm sure you have .2 acres too...no thanks. Most of those multi-zone, "perfect areas" have nothing we would want. We wanted close to town, neighborhood-ish with 1+ acres...and got it. I drive 161 to Fishinger each way on 270, every day...no biggie. Never hit traffic going to work, and on the way home, hit it 1-3 times a month between Tuttle and Fishinger, which we will no longer be driving. Won't have to run Powell Rd, 315, or Riverside to get to our new pad either. New Albany sucks not because people have money (plenty of areas have money)...it sucks because of the zoning Nazis, and the taxes are out of this world for what you get. Buyers agree...look at the prices of the homes listed. They are all going for the same $$ as comparable homes in "lesser" parts of town. Why? Because everyone sees how freakng insane the taxes are, and won't even look at those homes. Really, take a look. Who wants to pay $8,000 a year in property tax on a 3200 sq/ft house with no land? With 20% down on a 300k house @ 30 years, that property tax is 1/2 of what the mortgage is...that's insane! Who wants over 1/3 of their house payment to go towards property taxes?? We got a damn nice pad in a great area, and I'll leave it at that.
  20. Hell, I don't even live in Reynoldsburg, or anywhere near there, lol.

#1: I haven't hung out there much since I dumped an ex that went to Otterbein years ago, where yes, it was very dry. That's a plus then. When my wife bought the condo years ago, she specifically didn't buy in Westerville for that same reason, so at least they have gotten wise to dry = bad idea. #2: I have been to 082, and pretty much everywhere there is to be in Westerville. Some of it becomes a bit New Albany-ish. I am not saying I am against Westerville (we tried finding a home there, and looked a lot), but they simply had nothing for sale that was something we would want for anything close to a decent price. Looked in Galena too (which is just north of Westerville); almost bought a house there, and IMO you get the use of Westerville with better land there.
  22. Lay off the booze when posting. Kind of embarassing, really.
  23. I can't imagine spending that much on that lift...it doesn't get any higher than some standard jack stands. At $500, maybe even up to $700, I'd be interested. Beyond that, a good jack and jack stands, or pay a little more for a real lift.
  24. Seriously, VHS??!! The ONLY thing a VCR should be used for anymore is to playback tapes that can't be had in digital format, and recorded to a digital format. You do know that stand-along DVD burners aren't that expensive anymore, and blank DVD's are cheap. Hell, I see stand-alone Blu-Ray burners becoming popular in about 2 years...the media is dropping in price, and the PC burners have finally become reasonable.

LOL, are you kidding me? New Albany is nothing but house Nazi's that will bitch if a blade of grass isn't in the right place, and property taxes that are out of this world, homes that all look the same, etc. New Albany was great geographically for us, but we wouldn't even consider living there because of its significant faults. Westerville is decent, but also has some crappy areas, is dry (who wants that?), and a lot of older homes / homes that are close together, which is why we never found anything worth buying there. As for the Reynoldsburg/Blacklick area being shitty because of traffic...that's just non-sense. Traffic doesn't make an area a shit hole. I'm not looking to ever move back to Reynoldsburg, but I never had any issues with crime, plenty of things to do in the area, very convient shopping, reasonably priced homes, etc. Are there areas in Columbus that are better? Sure...you'll pay more for it too.
