  1. I hope you really don't think you would make 50k doing door to door sales for Insight. You won't.
  2. Well, that was just plain aweful. I was proud that I got through 20 seconds before shutting that BS down.
  3. Those would be ground effects, NOT a body kit. A body kit would consist of at least replacing the front and rear bumper covers, hood, or some other part.
  4. Then maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't use that hood, and put the stocker back on. It's not like you saw ANY performance upgrade from that hood. Hondas, especially in those years, are built like thin tin cans anyway, so it's not like the stock hood weighed much more. The hood fits like shit, is unpainted, and looks aweful...why not trade it + cash for a stocker from some ricer that needs it to complitment his big wing and bigger far pipe (I will politely assume your car does not have a far can and does not sound like a dying weedwhacker). I am sure Autozone has everything you need to get that second wiper back on and working fine.
  5. Okay daily driver, but you should probably buy something else to dump money into. The money/effort vs. results will be disappointing on this car.
  6. I am intersted, please send some pics!
  7. Does the kid look strikingly similar to the mailman? I hope he got a DNA test......
  8. That's the same brand that makes the POS riding lawnmowers that Lowe's sells, right?
  9. I currently have an LG VX8600. I normally get a new phone when I renew my contract every 2 years, but the last time I went with a family plan with my now wife, and didn't replace it. The plastic broke around the hinge, and the phone isn't going to last much longer. I just need something slightly above basic. I don't text much, don't use internet functions...I just call, and don't even talk on the phone THAT much. I've been happy with this phone, and would consider another. Something that fits nicely into a pocket. If you have Razor, I don't want it, not even a little bit. I want something nicer than that, but not a PDA. Name what you have and a price.
  10. I started on a cheap board. I would damage a part on the cheap bindings EVERY time we went out, until about the 6th time when I tore the binding in half. That was pretty awesome; that's why I have my Gator Saints now. The cheap board snapped after only a few more outings with my good bindings...seems when you are able to ride harder, you are more likely to put stress on the boards. Cheap shit will make you unhappy, period. You may not even want to wakeboard. I am only selling this board because I like a super loose board (most people don't), and got a Liquid Force Omega to replace it. This Hyperlite is known for super soft landings, even in the flats, and a lot of pop off the wake, and tracks very well. Has detachable fins, but no one ever uses them, as the molded fins are more than enough. Excellent board for getting air.
  11. I have a Frigidaire over the range microwave to sell. I just pulled it out of our new place last night; it is black and works...we replaced with with a stainless steel unit. Not sure of the year; has to be 2003 or newer, as that's when the house was built. Needs a new glass tray, and the door handle needs repaired/replaced, but otherwise fine.
  12. Junk boards = junk riding. I have a Hyperlite Imperial 143 I am selling. Blank board, you need to buy your own bindings. Never, EVER settle for cheap bindings; they can cause injury, and you can't ride nearly as well with them. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=1793 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=1794 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=1792 $200. Board is almost new. Figuring you want a size 11-12 binding, you are probably are a bigger dude, and would need a longer board like this one.
  13. Wow, that M5 got spanked everywhere. Styling wise, I think the CTS-V looks way better than the M5 (and I like the look of BMW's). Obviously the M5 can't keep up performance wise, costs way more, gets worse fuel mileage, has a 1 year/50k miles shorter powertrain warranty (and I am sure if far more costly to repair/maintain). As for the interior, I am sure the BMW fit/finish is better, but styling wise, I like the CTS's interior far better. I've always felt BMW lacks on their interiors compared to most cars in the same price/class.
  14. Some of you must have went to shitty high schools. We actually had to learn something at mine to pass. I didn't like HS (loved college though), and maybe the non college prep stuff was cake, but not any of the courses worth taking. The graduation cancelling is bullshit. By their own admission, 47 of the 97 knew nothing about it. And they said a number of the other 50 knew of it but didn't cheat - when is it required of a student to be a narc for those cheating? So for all we know, 10-15 kids cheat, and the whole class doesn't get to graduate. Nice.
  15. That looks awesome. I would have liked it more if they would have grafted some of the Vette's interior into the car.
  16. My Avalanche gets better than that. As loaded as they come in an 02, has the 3.73's instead of 4.10's (though research has shown me that doesn't seem to make much of a difference gas mileage wise on the 02's), I average 15MPG mixed, 18MPG highway. An 03-06 are rated one MPG higher across the board, and if you get a 3.23 geared Avalanche, you could be over 20MPG highway very realisticly. Rides better, and IMO more functional, than a quad cab/short bed Silverado.
  17. I am about ready to hop in the shower. Full day of work (all in the office today), then a full evening of painting at the new house...I will admit, I will appreciate my shower more now.
  18. The GM cruise control stalk is freaking CAKE to use, and easily done one-handed with your hand still on the wheel. I love it, and have for years. As far as suspension, people comment how well my Avalanche rides, but it is a different setup than the standard trucks.
  19. Give me a week or two. It's a mess right now...needs lots of paint, and some flooring. I swear to god the carpet looked like the animals there only took a piss on it, and no where else. Yanking all of it out made the house smell 100x better. The people there lived dirty...this house is proof that income != how cleanly you live!
  20. It's one thing if it is the selling bank...it's another if it is YOUR mortgage company that delayed out of sheer screwing off. Sorry to hear you haven't closed yet.
  21. Well, in the end, do you really want to sue the company you work for? Doesn't work so well come lay-off time.......
  22. Or you could have recovered the file the same way several different people here told you to do...but re-doing it was also an option.
  23. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?p=965178#post965178 There is the link to my consumer reports thread on this whole deal with Chase. We closed last night @ 9PM. Luckily the title company has their shit together. Will be working on the place all day today. We even went over there last night and put my boat in the garage and dragged tools/painting stuff over there. We are in for a heap of work now that we lost a weeks worth of time where we had help and vacation! At least the house was a damn good deal, otherwise I would be even more pissed.
  24. I’d like to say our home-buying process went smoothly. Thanks to Chase, it was nothing but a nightmare, and one that can ONLY be blamed on Chase. We gave Chase almost 2 months to get our mortgage prepared. The home is a foreclosure, and they knew this from the get-go. We financed it only in my wife’s name due to my rental property and it being easier overall to do it this way – and her income/credit was never an issue anyway, and we were pre-approved by them back in March too. Everything seemed to be going smooth until the week of our supposed May 22nd closing. My wife sent regular e-mails asking if they needed anything else from us, which was always replied back that they didn’t. On May 19th, we received an e-mail saying that everything is good to go, and they are just waiting on one last document from the title company to give us our final $$ number we would need for closing. And that is where the lie really started. On May 20th, they started asking for a lot of weird docs that if they wanted them, would have made sense a month or two ago (tax documents and such). Come to find out, the underwriter did not approve the loan, and hadn’t even looked at it yet. Chase had an appraisal done in April, but never had an inspection that they wanted. They were complaining about paint/carpet THE DAY BEFORE CLOSING. It’s a foreclosure, we know it needs replaced. I sent in scanned proof that I had already bought the customer matching paint for the house, and had contacts for carpet once we gained possession. Every day was “we should be able to close tomorrow hopefully.” We late figured out this was a way to keep us from asking more out of them, as there was no way they were prepared to close anywhere close to the "next day." Our contract ended on the 26th, and luckily the selling bank extended it. Every day a new document was being asked for (that we provided within minutes), and never once did they ask for something that we couldn’t have provided months ago. We closed last night (9PM), one week after we were supposed to. We flew family in from Newfoundland to help us move in and prep the place. I took off 5 days to help get this done…100% wasted. We had to sit around the condo a lot waiting on Chase to ask for the next document. The people there were always available by phone when THEY needed something, but if they didn’t want something from us at that point, they usually wouldn’t answer the phone or return phone calls. Nice. The only reason they closed yesterday (they wanted this Monday) is because my wife pushed them further. She has been nothing but a saint to them…I wish I would have gotten to deal with them, as their experience would have been far less pleasant, and they would have been put up to some very tough questions. Overall, we almost lost a steal of a house because of Chase. No one there really seemed to know what they were doing. We were lied to on a daily basis (documented lies at that). I don’t suggest anyone EVER use Chase Mortgage for anything. From my research about them this past week, our problem was more common than you might imagine – do some Googling and you will see the horror stories people go through with Chase Mortgage. FYI, I’ve been a Bank One (now Chase) customer since I was a kid, have 2 CC’s and a truck loan with them. My wife works for Chase, has tons of money with them, and this is how they treat and employee…I hate to see how they would treat an off the street customer. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they didn’t even give us the % rate they originally quoted us, it went up .25% because they gave us a discount they said they were not supposed to give us. Thanks Chase!
