I can only wish there wasn't a rap community. Or rap at all. The world would be a better place, for sure.
-
I have a Slingbox if I need to watch TV remotely. Though it is mostly used for watching movies from my DVD changer.

Hmmm, day off. Could dust off the Raptor and play in the snow right now, but that may be a tad early for the neighbors with that loud-ass thing. The crappy thing is that I was going to bag leaves today. I was also going to change the oil in the Avalanche, but since my garage is full, I can't roll it in there...going to suck doing it in the driveway today. Oh well.

Here is the answer: you were lied to from the begining. It works and has always worked, as long as it has been wired up correctly. Several alarm companies have used VOIP services as either an excuse to not troubleshoot issues by saying "it doesn't work." Or they use it as an excuse to either sell you a new panel, or they love it as an excuse to sell their cellular backup panel for big bucks. I've had them directly argue with me over the phone, saying it wouldn't work. Then I did an alarm test, asked them if it worked...then I ask how it worked since it was through VOIP service. The alarm will work, period. The ONLY panels I've found that won't work with VOIP service are the once that can't be switched from the old pulse-dialing (which is rare); anything touch tone will work. BTW, you will be lucky to find an alarm guy that can wire to a VOIP setup correctly. It isn't hard; but most of them just aren't that bright.

I'm going to throw a "wild" guess out there and bet he was some ghetto-wannabe rapper.

I agree; my g/f is from there and I visted this past summer (that reminds me, I forgot to post up the pics you requested that I do before I went on the trip). But if you think the weather changes here are bad, they are a joke compared to Newfoundland. Try a high in the upper 80's on a Monday, and high in the lower 40's two days later...in the middle of the summer! Hillary won't become President. If a woman is going to get voted in, it sure as hell won't be her.

Felony. That is all.

DVR + 2 extra digi boxes and HBO justifies it. Define cheap. No VOD. WOW also has BTN, plus BTN HD, BTN 2, and BTN 3. Just call 1-866-496-9669 and have it added. I'm pretty sure more HD channels are coming around that time; I have no offical info to back that up, though.

USC, with their loss to unranked 4-8 Stanford and 8-4 Oregon (who may become unranked when the new rankings come out). LSU lost to now unranked Kentuky (7-5), and unranked 8-4 Arkansas. OSU, 1 loss to currently #15 Illinois (9-3) So LSU and USC, with their 2 losses to unranked teams (when all is said and done) > OSU with one loss to a now ranked team. Makes sense to me. Now you can't go the injury route; everyone has injuries, people out of games, bad calls, etc. A OSU vs. LSU game is most likely. Kansas IMO deserves it just as much. LSU vs USC would be a good game, but NOT deserving of the title bowl.

Sam, my g/f is sadly stuck with TW, and of course I have WOW. I've spent PLENTY of time with both, and I 100% honestly HATE TW's package over WOW's. Why? - TW has the most disorganized VOD setup I could ever imagine. Nothing like memorizing 20 different channels just to enjoy your VOD. With WOW, go to Channel 1...that's it. - I HATE using a guide; I'd rather arrow up/down through channels, while watching my current program to see what is playing. Not possible with TW. - IMO, it is easier to setup WOW's DVR for recording exactly how you want it to. TW's does tell what time into the program you are...guess that's an advantage, be it a very small one. And their list shows a few more programs at once. Otherwise...crap. I also notice Warner has a lot of digital breakup on their analog channels...perhaps headend issue on their Hillard headend?

Can EASILY beat that price.
-
I can do that price with a DVR and a faster internet speed.
-
Try 2010. WOW's price is better than that. I can get you the Value Internet, Digital Basic (which includes the Starz/Encore premium channels free, unlike Warner's package), standard HD DVR package, for $92 + tax. Less $$ if I downgraded it to digital value, a little more money if I upgraded to HD Pak or a higher internet speed. What is your current plan; honestly we have plans now that are better than a couple of years ago, and I could probably hook you up with a better plan. That said, when you got your plan, I'm sure you were CLEARLY informed that the price was guaranteed until 2008. All television providers up their prices over the years (and the BTN has not caused a price hike BTW).

When did you get a teen?? Perv.

Can anyone suggest a cheap, dual DVI, PCI graphics card?
Nitrousbird replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Dumpster
Is it even DVI? I googled it, and both the LT 2 and LT 4 look like they are only available in VGA, and looks like their max graphic support it only 1600x1200, so I'm unsure if it will support the 1680x1050 resolution I need for my displays. The Pro does, but I'm unsure about the LT. -
- Must be dual DVI - Cheap - PCI (NOT EXPRESS, regular ol' PCI). - DirectX 9 compatiable It will be used as a secondary card for a multiple monitor setup. Cheaper the better; no gaming will be done through this card.

I have a 1998 model Toshiba, which I bought new back then. But it is in perfect working order and great condition. I'm not longer using it...how much is it worth to you?
-
Wow......
-
I'm not quite grasping where this crazy price comes from. In all honesty, how much does a restored/mint condition 79 T/A go for now stock? Now throw in 50k (includes labor) of these goodies that have been added, and there ya go. I can possibly see selling this car for more than 75k-80k.

I never, EVER strech/zoom my picture. I hate the stretched out faces. My g/f does it on hers, but her Sony LCD Rear Projection does some deal where it progressively stretches + slightly zooms, so it doesn't stretch the center as much. It actually looks pretty good as far as a stretch picture is concerned. My Sony doesn't do that, and I'd still rather watch my 4:3 programs as 4:3 programs (though the majority of my regularly watched programming is in HD). BTW people, don't get too sold on the HDMI thing. I've seen TV's look WORSE with an HDMI signal than a component signal; all else being equal. I've seen it look slightly better before as well, and have seen off brand and older TV's that aren't HDCP compatiable not work at all thru HDMI / DVI.

You know, most of you can switch to WOW (most, not all, due to where you live). We use the identical DVR's, but with different software on them. Sadly, they are the best cable DVR option out there, at least of what I've seen so far. Insights DVR freaking sucks...about 30 seconds of playing with that was enough to make me sick of it. Not all issues DVR related are caused by the DVR. We seem to have a slightly less turnover rate on our DVR's, probably because we check them a bit better out of our wharehouse (when used ones are returned), and techs are pretty well informed on troubleshooting issues outside of the DVR itself. I better not ever hear one of my techs says "you have to try several before you may get one that works." FYI, I've had my 8300 HD DVR ever since it was released...same one. My roomate has had 0 issues with his HD DVR as well.

So my son left his email logged in on my computer...

Copy the E-mails and post them on here. -
With a light car like that, I'd say a Glide for sure.

I bought 3 Samsung 22" Widescreen monitors for myself. I think a tripple stretch screen will look pretty sweet...just have to get another video card. I also bought 4 Envision 22" Widescreen monitors I'm selling; anyone interested may PM me. And I'm now selling my 22" Westinghouse Widescreen one of the new monitors replaced. Time to get posting on Craigslist.......... I also got 6 100-disc DVD -R spindles for $7/each. Had to go through the Best Buy line with some friends twice to get all this stuff.
