    Vegas trip

Do they make that in a Queen or King sized? I want one!
  3. I'd love to know where you are getting these tow ratings from. An 8.1L w/ 4.10's is rated at 12,000 lbs (2500 series trucks). 5.3L like mine is rated at 8100. But you are too dense to understand that just because something is rated for so much weight, doesn't mean it can tow that. Just like I know my Jimmy is rated for 5200lbs, but there's no way I could safely pull that much with it (it's good for about 3500, then gets sketchy). And where are you getting your tow rating from anyway (not that it matters). Every resource I googled said 7000lbs for a 4.6L 4WD Explorer.
  4. I don't have a lot of room for people in the cab? Have you ever sat in one of these trucks?? There's plenty of room; I haul people around in it all the time, not a big deal. The truck has a MIDGATE. That means I can haul a lot more with it down. Yes, the bed w/ the gate up is small (just like any other quad cab, short bed truck), with the ability to open it up to hold large objects. My Jimmy isn't much smaller than your Exploder, and I've hauled a number of objects on my Avalanche that would not have been possible in the Jimmy. Weather proof bed does everything the back of an SUV can do, with far more flexability. And you honestly think that Exploder is up to the task of pulling 7900lbs. That's freaking laughable. Just because something is rated to tow xxx amount of weight doesn't mean it can reasonably do so.
  5. Congrats, but owning a house can be a big PITA too. Worth it though. Regardless, I'd suggest everyone contact Greg Powers for all of their home loan needs. He had hooked up a buch of us here on Cols Racing, and has definately helped me out of a financial bind w/ a re-fi a couple years ago; he goes the extra mile to do whatever it takes to get things done.
  6. Pssshhhh, I own a Mustang, and I'll take my Formula (never owned a T/A, sorry) any day over it, stock for stock even. Honestly, I don't even like it that much, which is why it will be sold in a few days.
  7. Oh it will tow just as much. Assuming it has the shitty 4.6L V8, your SUV is only rated at 7000lbs. I drive a 4.6L every day at work, and seeing the power the POS I drive every day has (04 E250 I've driven since new w/ 4.10's), I wouldn't dare try towing 7000lbs with your Exploder. On the other hand, last week I was with a buddy towing his new boat in his Avalanche, the boat is somewhere in the mid 6000lb range and didn't have any problems towing it. I haven't gotten a chance to tow anything heavy with mine yet, though will be later this week. I've riden in Exploders, I know what they are about. They are a "larger" mid-sized SUV, not something designed for heavy duty towing. Sorry to burst your bubble....tow ratings don't always mean that's really what the vehicle can tow. My Jimmy is rated at 5200lbs, and I wouldn't have dared towed that much with it. As for drag racing, this truck weighs a hell of a lot more; it's peppy at best, but nothing I'll ever race. That's not what it is meant for. Awesome daily driver that can tow and haul shit comfortably, and not roll over while Ford blames an innocent tire company. Fact is I don't give a shit what most of you think anyway. I get unsolicited compliments on my truck all the time, so your opinions don't really fucking matter (to which I never asked for anyway).
  8. Lexus. You mean some boring ass, bland, slow car w/ a nice interior that costs WWWAAAAYYYYY the fuck more . Awesome comparison. Have any Bentleys to add to the mix as well? Though I HIGHLY doubt I'll find a Lexus from 1990 without any rust regardless. People sure seem to pic whatever point they want to without looking at the bigger picture. If the car is only making 320HP, then do OTHER mods to make that HP without having an exhaust that looks and sounds like total and utter shit. Not hard. Does the car HAVE to sound that bad?? Answer: NO! If the guy likes a shitty sounding car, so be it, and I'll be more than happy to make fun of it.
  9. That's not really the color, camera doesn't always pick it up right. It's a dark green. http://69.47.162.250/Chevy%20Avalanche/Sunroof%201.JPG Not that I give a shit whether you like it or not. Like I'd value the opinion of someone who thinks pink badges, gold wheels, and a huge wing slapped on the back of a car looks good.
  10. Most definately; something black with a polished lip. But that's down the road, I've got way too many other things to spend money on first. The cladding is a love it or hate it look; I love it. But that's why GM started offering the WBH option in 03. People either love or hate the interior too. Though it tends to look better in person than in pictures. Regardless, you drive factory rice, so go put a fart cannon on your car and be happy.
  11. That's in front of the 94th Aero Squadron. My ex just got hired there as a waitress.
  12. I'll take it over your Exploder any day. But hey, it can tow more, rides better, nicer interior, more power, you know, the kinds of things that are important. The truck get 15 MPG mixed city/highway, and 18 all highway. Not bad for a 5500lb truck. Handles pretty damn well for being that heavy too.
  13. My god, I just threw some pictures up. I wasn't looking to put any effort into it!
  14. Everyone I asked said the pics were coming up pretty quickly. Does your internet connection suck? I didn't feel like resizing the pics.
  15. Well, I took a bunch of pics, and since I am hosting them from home, I just threw them in a directory and there ya go.
  16. I don't think I've ever posted up pics of my Avalanche before. Gave it a bath today, here are some pics: 02 Chevy Avalanche North Face Edition
  17. Exactly. Sell all of it but the PC, that I would wait until the 1-year mark, then sell it too. Really, do you people think some screwed up pothead is really going to get her act together enough to sue him when she can't even pay back that little of money?
  18. Have you seen dyno results on a before/after wheel swap? Exact numbers, not a freaking guess.
  19. On the slight chance anyone has one, I'm willing to trade straight up for a used open car trailer w/ electric brakes.
  20. Price reduced to $1500 firm. I need this thing out of my driveway!!!!!
  21. I don't buy those numbers. Why? Same numbers for a 94 Formula as for a 94 Formula Firehawk (as there were only 12 T/A Hawks, so I doubt they would be quoting those). The wider tires/ram air hood alone would make a significant difference in drag. We all see you swing on his nuts; do you shave and lotion them as well? Oh my, a massive 320HP....whew, that's sure worth the shitty sounding exhaust. Awesome investment!! The crooked look w/ the big tip and rivited on guard all help with the HP too, right? Sorry I don't like factory rice and shitty sounding cars. If you do, that's your problem, not mine.
  22. Well, another idea came up that I'm considering: a car trailer. It's something I'll need to buy within the next year. Pricing them out, used ones tend to go for $1500-2000. Something I may make some good use with.
  23. Sti = .33 93-97 T/A = .32 I couldn't find anything for just the Formula, but I'd assume looking at body work alone it wouldn't be any higher.
