  1. I'd pour her the cock and make her scream words I couldn't understand. Best 28 seconds she'd ever have....or at least I'd ever have.
  2. I've never drove a Vette in the winter, butdrove my Formula when I first had it w/ snow tires and no traction control, and it did VERY well, so I'd assume the same for a Vette. Not that I really suggest rolling a Vette in the snow; that's what a beater is for. As for insurance, it will probably be a lot less than you would think for one. Remember, your average Vette owner isn't some punk-ass kid rolling it into a ditch the first chance he gets.
  3. Full screen on my 19" monitor, I still couldn't see any tire smoke. It sounded like it spun them a bit on the rollers.
  4. Where was the burnout?? Real dyno burnout video
  5. If only it were that easy to swap to a vented Opti. Requires a new cam (as the stock cam has the short dowl pin for the 92-94 LT1's), different timing chain, different timing cover, different wiring harness, and vented opti tubing. It's only economical to do if you are swapping out cams, as you would do the cam and the timing chain in that situation regardless, so the cover/harness/tubes aren't all that costly. Also, you can get Vented opti's from several GM sources brand new shipped for under $200. I think mine was $180.
  6. There are a lot of guys in the 9's with LT1's. Hell, there are several 6-speed guys in the 9's w/ it. There are several in the 8's as well; fastest being 8 flat @ 178. This is w/ a stock-style suspension "street" car too; no 4-links or any of that BS, and just LT1 AFR heads, no converted SBC/SB2.2 heads.
  7. I'm definately not going to speak for DJ but: - S2000: DJ is not a small dude. And S2000's are meant for small people. That leaves out a Z3/Z4, Miata, SLK as well (probably more, but these are the cars my ass didn't fit into comfortably). No one wants to have to be crammed in their car, especially something you have to drive daily. - WRX: Since he has (though I assume is sold now) had one, that should answer the questions. I'd assume no Sti, as his WRX was already modded. - SRT-4: no FWD, and IMO would be a downgrade from a WRX. - EVO: Has the Tyco Toy interior DJ, I'd say stick with your guns and get the GTO you wanted. For that cash and MY money, I'd purchase a C5 M6 Coupe.

    PC vs MAC

You got part of it right. Not not really pro-pc; I'm just a Mac hater.

By this comment, I assume you are a pitcher.
  10. Same car, same insults. Reading back, you challenged me to a dyno-race and the winner pays. That's pretty freaking lame. What's next; since you don't have a car, are you going to try to challenge me to a cock-off? So where did I back down from a race? You are good a quoting it seems; quote me. Luckily, I value your opinion now just as much as I did back then. I don't know you or give a crap about you.
  11. Damn, I didn't expect him to carry the front end that far, let alone pull the wheels at all!
  12. #1: I don't recall you ever offering a race to me, ever. #2: I don't street race. I don't have a problem with people doing it, but I take enough chances with my license as it is. #3: If you offered a race, which I doubt you did, I know I would have accepted it on the track, without a doubt. I'll race anyone at the track, win or lose.
  13. Ugh, idiot info in here! Your Monte isn't going to keep up with a properly running, bone stock LT1. Maybe a 2.73 geared auto rag-top, but that's about it. Intake manifold leak. OOOOHHHHHH NO'S, a $20 gasket and 2 hours tops w/ basic hand tools. That's if it is even leaking. Optispark; yes, they do fail. No, they aren't as bad as the internet makes it out to believe. $190 shipped to your door, and not that hard to replace. Hardest part is getting your stock balancer off if it is rusted on. Water pump: like most cars, water pumps can go out. Gotta pull it to do the Opti anyway. Swap in a CSI electric pump, and it's $135, and a performance mod at the same time. I'd tend to avoid 93's due to the non-flashable PCM and speed density. 95 is the "optimum" year to own, as it is still OBD-I w/ the vented opti, which is a little more robust. If you ever swap cams, then it is easy to swap to the vented opti, which is what I opted to do. Swapping plugs can be a pain with stock manifolds (again, not as bad as the internet claims); pretty easy with a decent set of headers. The big advantages with LS1's are: heads/intake, aluminum block (though that's a disadvantage come machine work time), coil-on-plug setup is nicer, a stronger aftermarket now. But don't think the LT1 aftermarket is weak; there is a TON of stuff for it as well. And some stuff can use standard SBC stuff, making it a lot cheaper than LS1 stuff. LT1's are performers too, and can take plenty of abuse. My 90k mile, well abused stock shortblock looked just peachy when I pulled it. Where do people get the idea that throwing in an LS1 makes a 93-97 car a sleeper? Hell, a lot of 93-97 Firebird guys swap out to the 98-02 front ends = looks like an LS1 w/ an LT1 under the hood. As for Ram-Air; the stock 96-97 SS setup is pathetic; major heat soak and flow problems; it SUCKS. The Firebird setup is much better; but to be honest, it is mostly cosmetic; a CAI kit would be a lot cheaper with the same results.
  14. Was he flat towing it, car dolley, what? Stupid regardless, but some ways are more dangerous than others.
  15. Your grandpa's car was never faster; don't confuse me w/ someone else. My Formula isn't together by my own choice; some of us have multiple projects going on, and I decided to work on other stuff before putting the car back together. My Formula isn't my only toy.
  16. Your grandpa called, he wants his car back.
  17. I doubt Jesus would drive a car built on stolen parts and outright lies. Jesus isn't a magazine racer. Jesus would never drive a rotary. Nor a Mustang.

    PC vs MAC

Macs are for homosexuals. That's just the reality of it; if you are a fudge packer, you probably own a Mac. Sorry you cock mongers get all hurt that I mention that FACT, but I'm not the one shoving my cock in a man's ass. Edit: Now that I read this the next morning, I must have been drunk posting last night. Macs are still queer though.
  19. Did anyone realize it was freaking lame?
  20. This is not a hack at IPS at all (especially since they seem to focus more on the street cars, rather than full-out dedicated race cars), but none of the fastest local cars have come from their shop. That doesn't mean nothing fast comes from their shop, but when you go to Trails and see the top local dogs running around, they aren't IPS cars. But then again, that's not the kind of clients that IPS is focused on either, and the kinds of shops that build those kinds of cars don't have much focus on the clients IPS has. It's very hard for one shop to cover the whole spectrum of performance cars; IMO a shop becomes watered down if they try to, and makes it harder to ever get good at one thing. Shops focused on certain groups is a good thing.
  21. I work for WOW. You most definately have the analog package, and it sounds like your remote isn't programmed right. Hit CBL at the top. Hold down setup until CBL blinks twice. Type in 0477. That should allow the rest of your functions to work. Also, the analog box needs to be shut off nightly, or left on CH 4 for a few minutes to allow the guide to load. Warner and Insight's analog package sucks too; buy digital. Give me your address, and I'll take care of that real quick.
  22. I've heard a lot better, and a lot worse. Though if I had a BMW, I'd try to keep it as quiet as possible.
  23. Well, in that case, I should inform you that your car is either a WS6 or a Firehawk...it can't be both.
