  1. And you probably won't, as I've never driven it to work. I don't want it getting messed with. That, and my Formula isn't my daily driver; that's what the Moostang is for. There are a couple other people at work that don't drive their toys there either.
  2. The monorail, according to their map, stops at the Sahara station, which is basically across the street from the Stratosphere. That's the first I've heard of it being ghetto, though. My mom went on vacation to Vegas last year, and she went in there, but didn't feel like spending the $9/ticket just for a ride to the top. Since we love rollercoasters, we'll probably ride theirs. I did look up that the gambling age is 21. Guess I'll be doing all of the gambling; I wonder if she will even be allowed on the floor to watch.
  3. GMparts direct has poor customer service, and heavily inflates their shipping costs to make up for some of their prices. Though still cheaper than going to a normal dealer, they definately aren't the best option. If you look up Jason Kromer (or is in Cromer), and I can't recall the dealership, that's another retailer like Dal. I just use Dal because he is closer and has always treated me right.
  4. And I just gotta say it, I can't help it.....the shaved door handles STILL in primer (I only mention it because I see the car every day). smile.gif
  5. Can they legally hunt her too? And since people brought this up; the stray dog problem around here is FAR FAR FAR less of a problem than the stray cat problem. Most of the stray dogs you see are just a dog that got loose and has a collar. They aren't dogs people are just letting out to roam free and do whatever they want. There are also dog leash laws. Cats on the other hand are just let out and about to do whatever they want, and roam free at will. Big difference.
  6. 877-448-5451 It's Van Devere Olds in Akron. Ask for Dal Slabaugh. http://www.worldparts.com/vandevereoldsmobile/ He does the phone/internet sales. Very knowledgeable guy. They stock a lot of stuff. Because it is in Akron, most UPS stuff ends up arriving next day. And you won't believe the prices (I suggest getting part numbers/prices from a local dealer, then calling him....you'll be VERY amazed at how much cheaper he is).
  7. My g/f got a national scholarship for her Senior year, and as part of it, she has to go to Vegas for a convention to receive it. Her school funded all but $80 of our plane tickets/hotel expenses, so the trip just couldn't be passed up. smile.gif Anyway, we will be leaving next Tues. night and coming back next Sun. morning. We are staying at the Stratosphere. Questions: - Would it be cheaper to take a taxi from the airport all the way to the hotel, or just to the MGM station (closest to the airport), then ride the monorail to the hotel? The Stratosphere is on the very other end of the monorail's route, and is furthest from the airport. - What is the gambling age in Vegas? I am pretty sure it is 21, but I'm not positive. I ask because my g/f won't be 21 for a few more months. We are assuming she won't be able to gamble (luckily, I'm not much of a gambler, so I won't be blowing a lot of $$ doing that). - Any certain attractions, that are REASONABLE in cost, that just can't be passed up? - Any things we should avoid? - Any other advice for the trip we may need to know (such as where to get good, easily accessable food for cheap).
  8. That's an old article, w/ some artists idea of what it should be like from a while ago. No one has seen anything remotely official from GM. Just what people think it "should" or "will" look like. Sadly, I'm doubting the 07 date.
  9. Which chassis?? Are you talking about the GTO, F-body, or the C5 (just considering normal American production cars here, as that motor is in other cars as well). Of course not mentioning its Iron Block cousins. In retrospect, I'd still rather have a C5 than an LS1 FD. So is your car plagued by both then??? smile.gif
  10. Impressive. I saw stuff "similar" to that when my g/f took me to Cirque De Sole (butchered that spelling) last year when they were in town. Neat stuff I can say I will never be able to do....EVER.
  11. - Infinity. Child molestors are weird and creative too, but I don't call them neat.
  12. If you want to fund that project, I'd be more than happy to. I think FD's are really awesome cars plagued by their powerplant.
  13. Thought I'd comment that I agree. My g/f got me this kit as part of my birthday present last month. I've used it on the Moostang a couple times, and it has worked well. That, and not using a bucket is always a plus in my book. Though it says to only use their soap, I'm curious as to how it will work w/ different soap once their runs out.
  14. It's stickercharged. Unless you are getting contingency money for racing, the stickers on the body are pretty lame. **Note for cry babies: only commented because he asked for them**
  15. Translation: Hello, dude. I see you work at a GM facility. I used to as well. I've never meet you, but it's nice to see you post.

  17. I thought this was a McDonalds thread.
  18. Well well well, that's definately a good upgrade.
  19. When are you doing the V8 swap?
  20. Is that English? I think we might have a little Grovetucky SPS syndrome happening in this thread.
  21. Call your insurance company. Explain to them that they paid $374 a piece for new wheels for your car, yet you've seen that the wheels they put on are damaged. Make it feel like the insurance company is being the one ripped off.
  22. My guess would be cheese on the Taco.
