  1. Newborns don't cost that much, unless you have shitty insurance or a child with complications.
  2. How would that help? - None of your cars do anywhere close to 200MPH on any strech of road - None of your cars come even close to that in the 1/4 mile - None of your cars are trying to stop at 200MPH on skinnies in a short distance + no ABS I might just call that a significant difference.
  3. The LFA is a wonderful car that is double the price it should be. Its looks/performance are at a 150k range, and it would sell like hot cakes if priced around that. I guarantee they could sell 20x as many at that price and still not be able to keep them in stock. At 300k, you are looking at a very different buyer and car market - one the LFA does not fit into at all.
  4. My mom just got rid of hers this past weekend - 2000, same options but a 2-door, I think mileage in the 60-70k range. 2nd transmission was going out, dealer gave her $5700 for it (not sure if they noticed the tranny problem, but they did drive it). She really liked that car over the several years she owned it.
  5. At that, they should be living just fine off of 30k. Let's say 25% tax rate (probably less, with one working adult with wife and kid at that income tax bracket) = $22,500 a year take home = $1875/month. Bills: Say $300/month for health insurance Home, I'd have to assume with that small of a mortage, after property tax/insurance = $600 Car insurance better not be more than $75/month for a single car Eating like college kids would be $50/week, but let's give them $300/month...about what my wife and I pay, and we don't eat like college kids. I am sure their house is pretty small, let's give $200 for utilities Total: $1475 That leaves $400/month for incidentals. I've seen many folks (including myself in the past) struggle far harder than that and survive. Hell, my mom makes a little under 30k. Has a small house with a similar sized mortgage as your example (for her, the mortgage + tax/property tax is ~500/month), but isn't struggling to survive - she lives within her means; hell she just leased a brand new TSX, and goes on a couple vacations a year.
  6. i7 950 @ $199.99 http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0346210 Asus Sabertooth Motherboard @ $199.99 http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0347337 Corsair 2GB x 3 DDR3 1600 Memory @ $94.99 x 2 = 189.98 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145236 Antec 750W PSU @ $79.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371026 MSI GTX 460: $124.99 after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127519 Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM drives: $49.99 x 2 = $99.98 (run them in RAID-0) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073 LG 10x Blu-ray Burner: $99.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136181 Thermaltake V3 Case: $34.99 after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133094 COGAGE True Spirit CPU Cooler (best bang for the buck cooler out there, and one of the best regardless of price): $39.95 http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9403/cpu-tri-62/Thermalright_CoGage_True_Spirit_4-Heatpipe_Core_i7_CPU_Cooler_Socket_LGA_11561366.html Total: $1069.85 Some of this may be overkill. You can save $80 if you are happy with just a DVD Burner. PSU is far more than you need for this setup. You likely won't need 12GB of ram, so you can save another $95 dumping down to 6GB. I am sure you can price shop a lot of this stuff down some too...I am sure to under $1000 and still keep all of this gear.
  7. You lost any style credibility as soon as you mentioned you like Renaults.
  8. All the cool cars in Europe we can't get here and they decide to bring another tiny econobox. Lame.
  9. The only GXP in his price range would be a wrecked one.
  10. 6-8k. There are a couple pricey mods there that have resale if you stripped the car down.
  11. Yeah, pm me. I am thinking a decent motherboard, core I7 930, 12gb ram, good video card and a single ssd would do nicely.
  12. $1200 seems like a lot of money, unless you are counting a lot of extras (multiple monitors/big monitor, nice printers, multiple/big SSD, etc.).
  13. This guy is a real piece of shit it seems. He hasn't posted here in ~2 months, so he is likely long gone. Hopefully no one here was dumb enough to buy that car.
  14. That "Iroc" sure looks like a 1991-92 RS to me.
  15. I'm not seeing any great deals. I wasn't impressed with most of the Pre Black Friday / Black Friday / Thanksgiving / Pre Christmas deals from anyone, and these aren't even matching those. Hell, that 22" AOC TV - I bought the 24" version for the same price from them (kitchen TV - is actually a pretty solid performer). I'll give it to them for having great prices on their DLP's right now.
  16. Nope. Most of those positions aren't in Columbus. The ones that are here, everyone in those spots have been in them for years, and likely aren't going anywhere. Those that did move into those spots that weren't there from day one were internal hires. We do have some plant maintenance tech spots open, but our PM Manager is VERY picky about outside hires - if someone isn't uber impressive, he won't even consider them. Most of our PM techs now are internal hires.
  17. My wife and I had this case: #1 http://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Impact-Case-iPhone-Black/dp/B001KV2LK0/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1296324068&sr=8-5 Mine started tearing after a couple of months and was becoming loose. My wife never, ever removed hers from the case, and never puts it in her pocket (purse or desk is about it), and the POS stretched out big-time. Garbage case IMO. Is that the one you have, or is it: #2 http://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Commuter-Case-iPhone-Black/dp/B002Q0WNAW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1296324068&sr=8-8 #3 http://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Defender-iPhone-Retail-Packaging/dp/B001FVPU9O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296324068&sr=8-1 #4 http://www.amazon.com/Body-Armor-iPhone-3G-3GS/dp/B0043GZ8HM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1296324336&sr=8-5
  18. TTT - we are hiring a ton of people right now, and I have just started doing interviews. Please apply online. If you have a crappy driving record or criminal record, you are likely wasting your time.
  19. I haven't had windows tinted in a few years, but isn't that price a bit (and by bit I mean a lot) excessive? Even for quality work. Or maybe tint has went way up in price since I last needed it.
  20. If that was the only thing you had to worry about, lol. How's that cam follower? Any coolant leaks yet.
  21. My question was more theory vs. practice. There are many things that aren't "supposed" to work in theory, but in practice it is just fine. I was more wondering if there would be a real world difference in signal quality.
  22. Ben, Does the loss of signal apply to the 3GS as well? I want to go with something with all around protection. Since this phone has left the store, it has always been in a case with a screen protector.
  23. TTT. I was sporting the RebelM for a while. I found the "spikes" on the back make it bulky without a purpose. A piece also cracked off the bottom - which is interesting since I never drop my phone or abuse it. Just goes in/out of my pocket. Any new suggestions out there? I bought 3 different cases from Monoprice (they are uber cheap and I didn't change my shipping costs...nicer than you'd expect for $0.92). I'm sporting a clear one that was like $1.32, but I'm not liking it. Thinking about a metal case now. Suggestions?
  24. How much for a garage floor coating? I've seen these advertised at home shows before, never saw a price. 3 car garage.
  25. Some of us simply dream much bigger. I LOVE our home, but it's not a dream home. It is mostly everything we need (still want to build an additional garage/shop), and is bigger than we will ever "need" but I dream much bigger...I've seen a couple of my dream homes in Columbus, but don't come close to the 7 figures it would take to buy one of them. If your dreams are small, then I guess you can easily achieve that dream.
