  1. It is $2.99 in the Ap Store It isn't available on Installous or Cydia yet.
  2. You were a door to door sales rep...Insight shares the backend with TW, but all of the lines feeding the customer are Insight owned/maintained. As for DSL vs. Cable, a properly maintained cable network will have 0 slowdowns from multiple users. As for WOW's price - WOW focuses on bundling packages, so their single tier of service prices aren't that good. Good product/service, but not the best price. And don't think for a second TW will up their speeds without WOW doing it as well (and likely before TW).
  3. The PS3 is so much more than a video game system. 90%+ of my PS3 use (which is a good amount) is non-game related.
  4. I have one in need of repair I'll sell for a reasonable price. It likes to kick itself off.
  5. There is the cap on how much interest you can claim and the income cap. Maybe the income cap is even lower - I just know I don't qualify. Think about this. Let's say you take home $4000/month after taxes (which would also be after health insurance, 401k, etc.). You are telling me you should only have 1000/month or less for a home loan. You couldn't even buy a 200k home at that rate for 30 years @ 4.5%. Even if you save/invest 25% of your take home, WTF are you blowing 2k/month on?
  6. I feel your pain. Just like if you sell any stocks, they will tax the shit out of that if you made any money, but you can only offset that with selling other stock at a loss. Yet if you lose your ass selling stocks and don't make any selling, you are just SOL. Flat tax is the only fair tax. Because I make 2x what someone else does shouldn't mean I pay in 3x as many taxes. You could deduct interest on a new car if you take a home equity loan out and use that money to purchase the car. The only reason I even purchased my first house was because I was raped so badly in taxes the previous year that I was desperate for a deduction!
  7. Unlike you, I actually do things outdoors that may require a truck.
  8. The LM7 is in the LSX family http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine I like my Avalanche - don't really give a shit if you do. It tows, has a bed to haul stuff, and can still haul people; all stuff none of your vehicles can do (or at least do well). And since that is exactly why I own it, I'll just go ahead and keep it.
  9. You already have it half way there - just make the car a targa car at this point.
  10. I have owned one for over 5 years.
  11. LOL, a non-production prototype, which I am sure was on slicks: http://www.caranddriver.com/features/10q2/2011_subaru_impreza_wrx_sti_sets_nuerburgring_lap_record-feature
  12. No he can't. There is an income cap on claiming school loan interest...I haven't got to claim mine for a couple years now. Luckily it will be paid off in a couple of months. Last I checked the limit is 70k single, 145k married you get nothing. They start reducing the deduction from 55k to 70k single, 115k to 145k married until you hit the nothing limit.
  13. Come tax time I should have all but the two houses paid off. But then comes a boat payment.
  14. Perhaps you should wait to come back with pictures.
  15. If you are going to buy a shit box, don't blow 13k on one. Could about snake into a high mileage early C5 for 13k (14-15k for sure). Toss on some snow tires, and you can enjoy decent fuel mileage and have something you will enjoy driving. I put 0 down on my Avalanche and have been ahead on the loan the whole time...but I also got a hell of a deal on mine.
  16. CTS-V came out in 2004 - and will easily rape a S4 of that era....or actually any year of S4 And don't start on the Stage whatever BS on a S4, as the LS6 / LS2 / LSA are VERY easy to mod and have far larger aftermarket than all other Audi motors combined.
  17. Seems everyone refers to CPU temps in C, so use that as a reference. My goal is to keep my 920 under 80C. Normally stay at mid-high 70's when running the CPU @ 100% for extended periods. That said, this is actually cooler than it was running on stock settings / stock heat sink. That may have been caused by me just slapping it on with the pre-applied paste vs. using a good thermal paste. Mine idles around 40 C. But with these CPU's, the temp readings aren't acurate at low temps, but become more accurate the higher you go, so I wouldn't put too much thought into idle temps. Also, how are you load testing? I've found my best load is simply compressing a Blu-ray with BD Rebuilder, as that will have all 4 cores running 100% (BTW, you have 4 cores, not 8).
  18. What if you have 0 use for OSX and just want to boot to Windows? Did that for my sister in law, and she loves it. The partition sucks, but she has to do nothing other than turn the laptop on to boot up to Windows.
  19. Lights are all Halegon; most in the 40-60 variety. I HATE the look and warm-up time of florescent lights. If I could find some good LED lighting at a reasonable price, I'd like to go that route eventually. PC I am sure is eating some power.
  20. PC runs 24/7, TV is on a lot, wife that doesn't like to turn lights off - other than that, nothing too outrageous. All the appliances are newer, including high efficency washer/dryer.
  21. The "Aux Heat On" that is showing on the display may mean you are on "Emergency" heat and not running the heat pump. Hate to tell you, but electric heat is fucking expensive. Our house is about 3300 sq/ft + 2400 sq/ft of basement (though 600 of those are crawl space), with half of the 1st floor having 18' ceilings. Our last bill was over $500, and I am dreading the next one. You also have to remember with an all electric house that your hot water heater runs on electric too, which also isn't cheap. My bill is still $125-150 even in the mild months where the heat and A/C are barely being used.
  22. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Both of them are 2 of the best games I've ever played. The 3rd in the series comes out late this year.
