  1. Glass is rough compared to the side channels of Cumberland - that place is butter!
  2. CLR, that stuff is awesome.
  3. You can likely hit 500rwhp without spray with an LS1, good heads and a healthy cam (plus the general supporting mods).
  4. Funny, Ray ran the Rossler 4L60E with the brake with great success before he switch to turbo setup and a Glide. Here is a little thread for you: http://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic-transmission/482258-4l60e-transbrake-installed-3.html I think I'll take his word/experience with it over yours.
  5. I just ordered this (paid a lot less than that for it though): http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-MC10-Marine-Remote-Commander/dp/B002C0OVVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313280682&sr=8-1 But I'm having trouble deciding if I want to go above or below the rub rail, and port or starbord side. On the back of the boat for sure. http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4317/img0890dg.jpg It is 100% waterproof so that's not a concern. I was leaning towards starboard above the rub rail, but I wonder if that will be too high for shorter people swiming that want to use it. FYI the swim deck is about 2" above the water when the boat is in (about 2" below with both 500lb ballast tanks filled in the rear, 1" with the front tank also filled).
  6. Rossler IS a high-end tranny builder, and has had a lot of very wild cars run their trannies. http://www.bmrsuspension.com/index.cfm?page=products&vehicleid=6&maincatid=55&catid=147&productid=323 They also sell bolt-in crossmember kits for the Glide, 350, and 4L80E. For the torque arm: http://www.bmrsuspension.com/index.cfm?page=products&vehicleid=6&maincatid=58&catid=168&productid=335 Though I'd just do this: http://www.bmrsuspension.com/index.cfm?page=products&vehicleid=6&maincatid=58&catid=169&productid=320
  7. Rossler 4L60E with the transbrake option. http://www.rosslertrans.com/4l60e_or_th700%20Options.htm
  8. http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-HD-Motorsports-HERO-Camera/dp/B002VA57XC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313255549&sr=8-1
  9. Amazon has it for the same price with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-HD-Motorsports-HERO-Camera/dp/B002VA57XC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313255226&sr=8-1
  10. I haven't taken a good look at it. I assume it is just a 1 wire Unit, but I'm not sure if LS1's require a different alternator.
  11. That's not exactly north side, but closer than the last place I had an alternator rebuilt years ago.
  12. Looks like the boat alternator is starting to take a shit. It will intermitently stop charging about 2500 RPM or so, then not start charging again until it is back to idle. Other times it works fine - started doing it the last two times I had her out. Not preventing me from boating (good deep cycle battery in it), but I am sure it will only get worse. Indmar anything is expensive, so I figure rebuilding is the cheaper route. Any places up north with a decent turn-around time? I don't want to miss out on any boating because of this.
  13. Sorry I don't live in the hood. Deal with it.
  14. I am normally a DIY person and hate hiring people to do stuff, but this is one case where I would open my wallet and let someone else deal with it.
  15. Assuming you want the cheapest (wifi only 16GB) and used, Amazon has them for upper 300's. eBay in the lower 300's, but should be able to Craigslist one for under 300. Apple no longer has the 350 deal on refurbs, they are back up to 430 now...and at that price I would pay 70 more for a new iPad 2.
  16. Here is the TV: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-KF-42WE610-42-Inch-HDTV-Ready-Projection/dp/B0000SUY8U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1312546750&sr=8-2 Here is a bulb: http://www.amazon.com/Electrified-XL-2100-A1606034B-Replacement-Housing/dp/B003M5KJ1K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1312546750&sr=8-3 I have a couple year newer, 50" version of this TV but the picture should be similar. Good TV's, they are similar in size to a comparable sized DLP.
  17. TTT, kind of a waste having this sit on my desk.
  18. Can't exactly go there during the week. 3 minute drive to boat ramp vs 2 hour is a big advantage to local boating. I would be interested in checking that area out next year though.
  19. It blew the motor and tranny. I don't think I would call that good.
