  1. Yes. Oddly enough it still shows the correct image for me, so I didn't notice.

  3. It's also great for running errands like dropping off your kids, according to their new ad campaign. Who needs a fucking mini-van these days when you could have a perfectly capable kid-hauler such as a 911 Turbo. http://wot.motortrend.com/files/2011/03/porsche-ad-schoolbus-623x389.jpg
  4. Clean the MAF. You can get spray cleaner specifically for the job, but I have used alcohol before with okay results. If it has never been cleaned with miles that high I wouldn't be surprised to find that it's dirty. My last Mustang required a cleaning around 60K. Edit: here's a decent writeup on the procedure: http://www.berrysweb.com/clean_your_maf.htm
  5. The driver's door window frame on my old Jeep was bent similarly. I just rolled down the window with the door open and my foot against it and pulled the top corner a little bit at a time until it would seat fully when closed. The frame on the Jeep was probably a little skinnier though, so I'm not sure you can bend that by hand.
  6. ...But will they save me up to 15% on car insurance? Seriously though, I have always thought a gecko would be a neat pet, but I'm not home much these days. Do they take alot of care or can they pretty much manage themselves provided they are fed (like a cat)?
  7. This thread reminded me that I need to blow all of my tax return money paying off my bike. It does feel good to be free of one more bill, though in my case it's alot smaller than a Corvette payment. Congrats.
  8. So much want... but no moneys at this time. This would be perfect for me, but I'm about 6 months from being in the position to buy. Great looking car. GLWS.
  9. I had a huge tree in front of my house tearing up my sidewalk. I had several estimates done and it ended up costing me $800 for complete removal and stump grinding for the second-cheapest company (the cheapest seemed a little flaky and was only about $100 less). Sounds about right based on my experience. There were about 5 guys involved and they worked half the day or more.
  10. I second the suggestion to check the u-joints. Also, maybe the driveshaft is out of balance. I damaged the stock shaft on my fox once, causing it to be out of balance and it would behave similarly to what you describe.
  11. Not at Trotter's anymore. A few years back they stopped renewing leases because they got some wild idea they were going to sell them as condos. That failed and they tried to get everyone to stay but by then I had already signed a lease at Troy Farms (around the corner behind BW3). It was nice too, but we bought a house about 2 years back just north of the fairgrounds. Coming from the west side of Columbus and having grown up on the Hilltop I'm no stranger to ghetto-y trashy neighborhoods. I am surprised at how much of that I see around here though, based on how people seem to talk about it like it's such a nice area. It's okay, but it seems like any other city to me apart from some of the really expensive neighborhoods.
  12. I feel ya. I had planned on moving into a town-home on Silver Maple when I moved up here for work. Price was super-low, the management seemed okay and they had decent reviews (the few I could find). After driving through there a couple of times to check out the area I realized that during the summer apparently everyone must have 40 kids and they allow them to run amok and fill the streets. At the time I still had the Mustang and I immediately noticed kids leaning on cars in all of the lots and said "F that". I have only driven through there maybe 10 times and it seems like there are always some punk-ass kids either standing in the middle of the street or running out in front of me. I ended up at Trotter's across town instead (apartment).
  13. Clutch-type. Cheap and easy to rebuild. Looks like FRPP rebuild kits are around $70. http://www.jegs.com/i/Ford+Racing/397/M-4700-B/10002/-1

  15. This. Also, beware of swapped 4-cyl cars. If not completely upgraded they may still have a junk-ass 7.5 rear and even smaller brakes. Most of that stuff can be had for fairly cheap, but look for these things before you buy and factor that into purchase price if it still needs done. Edit: Forgot to address your primary question. Yes, I think such a thing exists.
  16. +1 Seems like the easiest way to go. I would say a hidden switch for the ignition hot wire, but these days the wiring for such things tends be more complicated (at least on newer cars).
  17. Books can be some help, but I found that just messing around with it for hours taught me most of the basics. I'm a better hands-on learner. Obviously it would be even better to have someone who has alot of experience go over a project or two with you.
  18. http://images1.memegenerator.net/Forever-Alone/ImageMacro/3707569/Forever-a-bone.jpg However, I agree that it's way overkill... if there is such a thing.
  19. Are you using IE? I noticed the page wouldn't load properly in Firefox.

  21. New Top Gear promotion... "Way Funnier Than Rape"
  22. My first "fast" car. Don't really regret selling it as much as I regret selling it for so cheap. I had nowhere to work on it and needed cash. It was just a cheap, beat fox but had alot of time and money wrapped up in the drivetrain. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/whitemustang.jpg?t=1298401603 Didn't have the room for 2 Jeeps, otherwise this thing would be lifted a bit more and on 35's. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/1.jpg?t=1298401083 Sold before I bought my house. I probably could (should?) have kept it but selling it allowed me to get back to zero debt for a while and allowed me to get a good interest rate on my mortgage. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/driverangle.jpg?t=1298401295
