  1. Ya, I've briefly looked into some of the places we would consider moving. Slightly lower pay, slight higher cost of living. Though I can't speak directly to housing prices. I'm guessing there is a good reason for that, they are more desired places to live due to the lifestyle the location affords. If we stay here we will buy a house next year. If we are somewhere else probably not and we would be renting for a while so housing prices aren't as big of a deal.
  2. Why in the hell does a v8 need that many timing chains? :dumb: Good thing that engine sounds amazing.
  3. So is Gape's pic a W12... I was having a hard time telling from the pic and I don't know those engines well enough to tell from the timing chain routing. I see 4 intake ports... but I don't know if there are more I can't see?
  4. What do you know about the W engine bruh?!?!?
  5. You don't pop your own C&C cherry, it get's popped for you. :fuckyeah:
  6. NP, just got user names cornfused. :fa:
  7. My dad's had the same car since new. IIRC the valve-train is pretty noisy, enough to the point where he took it in to have it looked at while still under warranty. They said it was normal for that car/engine. It's nothing I would have been too concerned about, but he just took it in to make sure. I'm not saying this is what's happening with your first problem, but it could just be noisier than what you are used to.
  8. I'll chose to drive not drink and drive and not drive through illegal search and seizure points. :gabe: I'm pretty sure they get a lot more people on non-drinking and driving offenses than the do on drinking and driving at these check points.
  9. You would have some serious bodily issues if this order came down to you. :lolguy:
  10. You know what's culturally offensive? Going to a country were we weren't asked to be to do 'nation building'. I get why we went there in the first place, and it wasn't for that. Bobby, please don't take that the wrong way. I have a huge amount of respect and admiration for our troops. Which is what makes me pissed for our troops that have had to go to Iraq/Afghanistan and risk their lives for these wars we shouldn't be in. That's what upsets me most about us being there. :fuuuu: Stay safe over there! :fuckyeah:
  11. Oh, one more thing, good thing we voted this place into the Constitution of our state. :dumb:
  12. I'm going to get drunk, lose some money, go eat George's Coney Island, get lost in the apartments right next to there and then get stabbed all in one night.
  13. You have to take into account the decreased gas mileage from adding all of the weight of that tube TV. :lolguy: Seriously, I have a very nice older 27" JVC. That thing is heavy as fuck. I can't imagine what a 36" TV would weigh. It would probably take 2 regular people or 1 roided out Hal, smokinHawk or Steve.slow to pick that thing up.
  14. I was implying moral responsibility, fault. If one parks their car on the street for legitimate reasons, accidents happen. If one parks on the street for some idiotic reason and something happens as a result of them parking on the street, as far as I'm concerned they might as well have purposefully ran the kid over. You can take out kid being hit with any accident. I was trying to point out that in him trying to do something that's a cops job he's creating an unsafe situation. Yes, the cars may or may not slow down but an accident is also more likely to happen.
  15. :dumb: Just a heads up that it's your fault when some kid runs out in the street and is run over because the car didn't see them due to your cars being parked in the street.
  16. It sounds like this has dick-all to do with any HOA rules and has to do with the city code/laws. Living in the country will take care of that too. But it's not like these are some nit-picky HOA rules.
  17. I kind of figured that was the case, which means it's a non-starter. I feel we need a relatively big city with a good tech industry, hence the possibility of places like Denver and to a lesser extent Portland. But I think I would like Portland as a city better so it stays on the dream list.
  18. Cool, just wondering. We've toyed around with the idea of moving out west, maybe Portland or Denver so I was wondering where they were.
  19. Oh, on the suspension, I don't think you can go wrong with the spec miata suspension. But it's $$$. We just went with the least aggressive aftermarket suspension we could get since our purpose wasn't to stiffen the car up, but to put new parts on since the car is 12 years old. I have also driven a spec miata and the suspension was setup VERY well.
  20. http://www.FlyinMiata.com has a used parts section (they call it salvage). That's where we got our used (stock) LSD. I don't see any quarters or rockers on there for you car right now, but it's worth looking for whatever else you are looking for. Sorry, I'm not sure if there are any local places.
  21. If you are really interested in auto crossing it you will want to go to a few events and pick the brains of those who auto cross these. If you just go throwing parts at it you will end up in some unlimited class by accident racing tube chassis cars. If you don't really care about competing and just want to go out, have fun and learn the car, that's fine, put whatever you want on it.
  22. I just saw those falls for the first time last summer. I was only in Portland for >48 hours for work tough. I really want to spend more time in that town sometime. I also want to do PNW tour, hit up all of the sates in that area. So, nice pictures, and needless to say I'm a little jealous!
  23. I'm going to be an ass for a second because being blunt is the easiest way to put this. It sounds like you should worry about your family and not some cat.
