  1. Abba-Dancing Queen In all seriousness, maybe it's because I don't like (really) hard rock that much, but I really don't like hard rock songs for driving videos, it's too cliche. If I had a dollar for every time I've hard Metallic’s Fuel in a racing video, especially one's that prominently show F-Body's, I'd have at least enough money to get drunk at a bar this weekend. If you listent to Radar Love while driving an F-Body you will wreck. Don't say I didn't warn you.
  2. You're a doctor, you should be able to prescribe that for him. :woowoo:
  3. Ok, I don't know if he posted this or not, but I would assume he's going to Colorado. If not, definitely somewhere in the states.
  4. Your speakers are, by far and above, the single most important piece of the equation, I would not skimp on those. To be blut about it, most "DJ" speakers sound like shit. Use them for now, but save up for a nice set of main speakers.
  5. I have had great experiences with the guys at Progressive Audio. Check them out at http://www.progressiveaudio.com They have some decently priced stuff in their rooms down stairs. There are a few other places around town that I've heard good things about, but have never been to. The two that come to mind are Genesis Audio and Digital Interiors. Regardless if you find anything, places like this are the only way you are going to be able to actually listen to what you might want in a somewhat realistic listening environment. Also, some of their high end stuff that you’ll probably never be able to afford is just fun to check out. If you go to Progressive Audio ask them to show you their ‘apartment’ that’s fully automated.
  6. Good, original comeback. I can't believe how funny you can be sometimes.
  7. I was hoping you wouldn't try to show up. Hell, you can't even chop down a tree even though you say you can. I somehow doubt you'd be very much help carrying anything that weighs more than 15 lbs.
  8. Yeah, because that's really hard to do.
  9. Ok, thanks for the consideration everyone, we have all of the help we need now. Eric, the more people the better. I would have worried about you drinking all of our beer before your showing on Friday. Will you dance to Thriller if we play it?
  10. Oh yeah, Eric, I will buy one of those off of you, or however many you can spare. Or you can give it to me in exchange for bringing you back some in January. I might be in Arizona at the begining of next month, do you know if they sell it there?
  11. I'm envisioning you trying to punch me in the face the first time you meet me. I'm not too sure that I want to meet you. Ben, take care of my light work for me.
  12. Thank you for correcting him in a constructive manner before I sounded like an asshole. The reason you see a lot of people buying axles from auto zone (or any other auto parts chain) is because they buy axles from auto zone. No, the axles aren't indestructible, just like any car, they will break at some point, and you can't expect to replace them with (poorly) rebuilt stock (if that) axles and have them last any amount of time. It comes back to the fact that people are cheap at modifying these cars and an axle from you cost <$100 instead of the $200ish it would cost to get one from Raxles that's stronger and will last. Having said that and coming back to the point of it being n/a, I don't see why he would have any issues, other than the normal wear and tear, with his axles.
  13. Thank you for the clarification even if he knew. I figured it was something like that, but I was a little confused as I don't as much about older cars/engines.
  14. I've carried bottles of liquor back. Just wrap do what DuffGTP said and wrap them individually in plastic or paper, then in clothes. With 12oz. bottles, I doubt you'd be able to fit a ton of them in a reasonably sized suite case. I fit three or four 1/5's in a suite case big enough for two weeks, and that was pushing it for the safety of the bottles. They sell it in pints, or maybe even bigger bottles. That might be the better route to go to maximize the amount you can bring back.
  15. Last winter on the way back from Colorado I saw a guy carrying on a 12pack of Fat Tire. Wish I would have known you could do that. I very highly doubt you'd get away with that now though. Call your airline, I had a bunch of questions about bringing my ski's last year and they were very helpful.
  16. Don't talk about things that you don't know anything about. It will misinform, or at least temporarily confuse someone until they find out the reality of the situation. Thanks, bye.
  17. http://www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/caps.htm Do this ASAP. They will leak out and destroy the board, then you have to buy a whole new ECU. I had to buy a new TCU (tranny control unit) because of this. Check the continuity on the traces around where any caps leaked and very carefully clean up any crap that's leaked onto the board.
  18. Trouble Maker

    OSU vs MICH

That sounds like a fair gamble. If I'm too drunk to dodge it I probably won't feel it.

    OSU vs MICH

So the moral of this story is if I throw a beer at you, you will buy me AND my friends beers? P.S. It's 4:08pm on the 17th of October in 2006 and Michigan still sucks. O-H!
  20. Just wanted to clarify so he isn't confused with my post that you are talking about turbo (maybe with AWD). He's looking at an n/a car, which is what I was commenting about price wise.
  21. I agree with what BAM614 and copperhead said. The only other thing I would say is I remember what you were asking for the Cougar, and unless you've drastically dropped your expectations of what you want to get out of it, you're getting the bad end of the deal if it's a straight trade. I'd ask for some cash to go along with it or something else they might want to get rid of. I would expect that car to go for $2-3k in good condition; NADA and KBB agree with me. Edmunds thinks something more like 1.5k, but they are always lower, and the 'normal' amount of miles for this car is 89k according to them. IMHO these cars don't demand a lot because everyone wants the turbo/awd ones and there are a ton of them out there. I’d shoot for closer to $2k for a little bit of a deal ,because regardless of the newer tranny and engine, all of the normal wear items still have 200kmi on them. That’s half of what you were asking for the Cougar, food for though.
  22. Was that where it was leaking the other day?
  23. You're not serious are you? If you are, down the road, not across the street. Yeah, good luck getting into that place. :grin2:
