With the cam specs, size, and rev, that engine should make 'way' more power than it does. I think it's choked off and has a very conservative tune in stock form. Also has a dry sump system, that's huge imho. Didn't someone put down ~500RWHP with just headers? Not arguing that it's not overpriced, even for what it is. Just about any 'crate' engine, especially from the factory hand built, will be overpriced. I just don't think the 505 crank hp accurately portrays the capabilities of this engine. I predict sometime in the near future someone with way too much money will take a C6 Z06 near it’s limits power wise and people will be pleasantly surprised with what it can handle.

If I wanted to feel like I got hit in the face with a gigantic Christmas tree laced with rubbing alcohol I'd drink a bottle of rubbing alcohol and go eat pine needles off of the evergreen in front of our apartment for a few hours.

I'll drink just about anything other than wiskey, tequila, burbons, scotch. They are all nasty. I like all kinds of beer. My favorite drink is a rum (Barcadi Superior) and coke with a lime squeezed into it. If I'm trying to get fuxored you'll see me with one of those in my right hand and some good beer in my left. Just about anything from a good micro brew. If you've never had anything form the Elevator or Barleys I highly recommend those two places, good food to boot. Sam Adams is the only good domestic brewery, period. I'm going to give you youngins a few pieces of advice. Little known secrets of the world of alcohol that you will thank me for one day. 1. Titos vodka. I actually learned about this from Aaron the beer guy, and he even posted it on here. I've had to introduce it to numerous people, and in turn they have introduced it to numerous people, it's that good. It is an amazing vodka, and for only $15/fifth, you can't beat the price for how good it is. Mix this ~50/50 with cranberry juice on ice and you can't taste the vodka. Instant fucked up in a can. 2. Hurleys Infamous 151 Margaritas. Remember how I said I hate tequila? Barcadai makes a frozen margarita mix that is designed to be used with rum, and oh do I love rum! But instead of using the sissy rum like the directions say, use about the same amount of 151 (1/2 a can). You can use more than that (1/2 to 1 full can) if you're really brave, but it's really not necessary. Making it according to the directions will net 5 medium sized drinks (~10oz), that each have ~one shot of 151 in them. As long as you drink it before it starts to melt you can't taste the 151. One of the only frozen drinks you can drink and not look like a sissy. I've shared this with a few people on this board too, I'm sure they will chime in with how amazing this drink is. I heard this on the radio this morning and I think to myself at first "So what, she got pulled over for drunk driving." While I don't condone this action what so ever, I don't think it should be that big of a deal.... Except for the fact that she blew a .271 and ran into a parked car! I can assume the suspension and drive terrain is not stock? I've never liked the way the LX notchbacks look. I understand why people race them, but just don't like the looks as much as a GT hatch. But I guess I can let it slide on this car. Can't wait to see you, your dad, and the car on the 29th!!!

Cool, was just wondering. I never knew you put struts in it. I am planning on putting just springs in the S4 so other peoples experiences are very interesting to hear. I’d ask anyone else with an S4 but they are all stuck up, and have way more money than I do, so they all throw their money away on coil overs. Seriously, if you go on there and post “I’m thinking about buying X/Y strut/spring combo”, which might happen to cost $600-800 new; they will say “Don’t waste your money, buy X coil over with Y spring rates”, which would kill your pocket book and street ability. The sets they usually suggest are $1500+.

Are you kidding me? This car is a far cry from a 'rebodied 350Z with a set of turbos'. This is a SUPER car, no ifs, ands or butts about it. We are talking about a car with much bigger brakes, better suspension, wider tires (hence the 'rebodied part') a SEQUENTIAL SEVEN SPEED transmission, 450hp (easily turned up because of the turbos), an advanced AWD system and the list goes on. Ok, maybe not worth 70k to some, but definitely worth far more than 40k. Please name ONE new car for anywhere near 40k that could hold a candle to this car.

Damn, talk about someone I haven't seen in a while. I heard you are on at Bud full time now. How is it up there?

I worked with my uncle for ~a year custom finishing basements (mostly in the Dublin area). So it was high $$,$$$ stuff and he is very anal. I learned how to do a lot of rough in/finishing stuff very well. Having said that I don't do anything like that for a 'trade'. I however do know how to do it and if you are in a pinch and need some help for a day or a weekend I'd be more than happy to donate some time (for beer and pizza) if I'm free!
