I use the Maguires 2-n-1 stuff (cleaner plus conditioner) and it works pretty well. My leather never had anything more than dust and a few food morsels on it though. It did however have a few small spots on the outer (left if you are sitting down) bolster of the drivers side seat where it was starting to show wear (my car has almost 90k on it). Using that stuff every few months has actually made those spots get better rather than worse with time. So I can't speak on how well this will do with the dirt on your seats. I can say it has done well for me and has done no harm to my leather, and it is black in color. Make sure if you use a cleaner only you use a conditioner. A cleaner will take all of the oils, good and bad off. You need to put the good oils back into it. I was planning on getting separate stuff, but when I went to the auto parts store I always go to, they didn’t have any. I usually use Maguires car cleaning stuff so I figured I’d give this a try and it has worked very well.

So what happens if I get in an accident and it's modified? If they find out, will they deny a claim? It would be pointless to go with them. The Talon is already modified and they S4 will get a few things eventually, probably including a chip. If the Talon gets to where I plan it to be, I will probably just go with agreed coverage if I can.

To answer your questions Shawn, indemnity insurance is just what they call 'high risk' insurance. I got put on it because of all of the tickets and accidents when I was younger, not because of my age. I'm with All State. Afaik they don't have different insurance for different ages. They just classify you on the policy. They have one bracket for under 21, one for 21-25, and one for over 25. They also say whether you are single or not. This is how they clarify it on the policy, and charge different rates. I am less than 25, single, on my own insurance. So my policy says "21-25, single". I got the ticket on Memorial Day weekend of 02'. So Memorial Day weekend of this year it will be three years. My policy just got renewed. It starts in May and I actually get the policy sometime early in April, so it hasn't been three years yet. It will be renewed again in November, six months. At that point it will have been more than three years from my past ticket. Theoretically I could get another ticket before my policy renews, and still be on indemnity insurance for ANOTHER three years. At which point I would have only had two tickets in eight years, and would still be on high risk insurance. I would be 27, but would just then be getting off of indemnity insurance for things I did when I was in high school, early college. If this happens I will first call my insurance guy and see if it can be 'taken care of'. If it can't be, I will be switching to a different company. There's no reason I should get a moving violation ticket before then though. A bunch of bullshit.

That's actually one of the hardest things for me, and I believe most people to do, whether you are talking on the track or on the road. Doing the correct line at slow regular speeds is very hard. You always tend to want to turn too much. But once you can get the hang of this, it makes doing the line at speeds much easier. When trying to do any line slow, just try to be very gentle with the car and use very slow inputs. I also find this to make me smoother on transitions at speeds too.

My uncle might be able to do the deck for you, but it won't be cheap. I can tell you that it will be one of the best built thing's you've ever seen. He ususally just custom finishes basments, but he does some outside stuff like this sometimes. I can talk to him and give you his # if you want me to.

Probabley something with ebay. I think you enter the VIN and that protion is automatically filled out by ebay by decoding the vin.

Silver is great if you are trying to boost the brightness of your screen but it will actually throw the color off. If the screen is bright enough and you are in a light controlled room (i.e. little external light), it's usually better to go with a white screen. People will often use silver in a room where they can-not block off as much light. Another common use is in a situation where you want more light, but you still obviously need to see the screen, but the color being off a little doesn't matter as much. People will often do this for their setups while watching sports. Movies=dark room, but I don't want to watch sports in a dark room.

It's for Solo II, autocross. Read what I posted above. It's just a regular autocross day with an experienced person kind of guiding you all day, during the walkthrough and will ride along with you. I forgot about the courses MO actually puts on.

It's highly dependent on who you get. They just put you with someone with at least a decent amount of autocross experience and are involved with the organization. Whether that person can necessarily teach or not is another story. I did it last year and the person I had was really nice and could drive very well, but she couldn't teach for anything. The biggest issue would probably be just getting used to driving like that at first. The driver’s schools are pretty laid back and any instructors there are going to be pretty understanding with someone on their first time. I can only assume your wife might be a little scared or timid at first. You could always take her out to a TnT or fun day and have her start driving around it fairly slow then picking up the pace. Most of what I have learned about driving has been from reading theory and trying to apply it on course. Another thing I have found to be very good to me learning how to get a decent line from the start is trying to visualize on the street where lines would be. I do this on things like on ramps where they twist back and fourth. Sometimes maybe even trying them at 'normal' speeds when no one is around. And honestly, even though it's probably the safest place, an Autocross can also be the hardest place to apply this. It's easy to get fooled by the cones as to what the correct line is. Then even when you think you've figured out a line, it's easy to get 'lost' in the cones while you are driving. Doing an autocross also makes for a long and tiring day, it could be a little bit disconcerting for a first timer. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are plenty of upsides and downsides to first learning on an Autocross course as compared to a road course. I guess it just depends on how intimidated you feel your wife would be on a road course as compared to an autocross course. I would personally say an autocross, if you could get some good instruction. That might be hard though, so if you feel that she might do ok on a road course, you could go that route, only because you can get professional instruction. I would like to suggest something slow like Gingerman, but that's far. Beaver Run is much less daunting and much safer than MO and is much closer than Gingerman. But it is a little bit faster of a track than Gingerman, in the straights. But probably slower and less techinical through a decent amount of the turns. I honestly don’t even know if and when you can get good professional instruction, like NASA, at either Gingerman or Beaver Run. The first time you go to Beaver Run on an open lap weekend, if you don’t have lots of road course experience, they stick you with someone who is getting paid by driving that day for free. My guy was some old douche who had probably never gotten laid and decided to take his frustrations out on me by yelling at me a few times when I did things wrong. You can get good instruction at MO, but I would not stick my worst enemy out on that course for their first driving experience, but you probably already know that (IIRC You've driven there?). This is just a little insight to what I’ve went through last summer, which was my first year of doing anything like that. Hope it helps a little. [ 03.
