Will do you have 25k just sitting around? I'm guessing no, I'm not trying to insult you either. 25k just sitting around means that there is nothing else you could put that money into to make better use of it than a 20B swap. Be smart, invest a good chunk of that 125k into retirement, stocks, or buy a house. I'd personally do the last one. Paid off house=the win. I'm not saying don't have a little fun with your money either. Take 10 or 15k and put it into your RX7, do a set of twins with a built motor or a single turbo. That should be plenty fast enough, and if done right, reliable enough too. I honestly don't know the numbers off of the top of my head of what it would cost to do that, but if you can't do it for that much, everyone of you are driving the wrong car (rx7). Except for people who can do their own work like Mike.

This is a common misconception. The way the information is propagated from the cable company to your box and from the box to the TV on coax is different. You will get a far better picture if you use composite video (single cable), a noticeable difference if you go to s-video, and then a much less noticeable difference if you go to component video. You don't have to believe me though, just go try each one that your TV is capable of and look for yourself. Mr.Blunt is right about the cabels too.

Tons of labor and custom fabrication, and RX7's are expensive cars to get worked on. Mike isn't shitting, the # I've always seen thrown around is 20-25k. You know what kind of setup you could have keeping the 13b with that kind of money? Maybe I should keep my mouth shut in case this person is one of the very few who makes wild claims of what they will do that actually has the money and effort to do it. Mike and the RX7 store could stand to make alot of money and get some good publicity. But, I doubt it.

Why, because it's the 'cool' thing to talk about doing?

Have you ever seen or been to this place before? I'm guessing that's a big fat NO. It has a bar in it, just like most restaurants. Unlike most, this bar and most everything surrounding it are over 100 years old. They make 12 different kinds of beer. They have very good food, ranging in price from the low $10 range a plate to the high $20's for the Rock Fillet. BTW, the Rock Fillet is one of the best stakes I've ever had. They have two pool tables that you can play on that are over 100 years old. They have one of the most beautiful pieces of stained glass that I have ever seen. It's truly a dining experience and not just a restaurant. Best of all you won't leave there smelling like smoke. Sounds like a bar to me.

Yeah, but haven't the engines been proven to be just as strong as the stock turbo ones? That's just what I've heard, but numerous other people in here seem to think otherwise. Do the stock n/a one have a knock sensor?

Keep the smart ass comments out of the tech area noob.

+1 Brandon or Ken, or anyone really. I'm starting to workout again; I'm mainly gearing towards running, swimming, and some other things such as ab workouts, push ups, but with no weights or 'nautilus' machines. Mainly because I do want to get in shape, but for one, I hate lifting weights, and two, I really don't feel they are necessary for where I aim to get to. Where is some good info on how I should gear my diet or what would either of you suggest? Brandon, where have the triathlons been that you have done? My sister wants to do one, and I plan on trying to get in good enough shape to do one too.

If you are building the engine, see if they make a nitrous grind cam for your application. I've heard of alot of really positive results from getting cams that are geared specifically towards nitrous in V8's using nitrous. I'm sure if someone made them for that series engine, it would (should if made right) work very well too. Not sure if it would be cost effective though, with how expensive I know cams used to be for Hondas back when I was looking into getting one. Might be worth looking into though.

nofst hoblk lick 700cc or 699, whatever the real displacement is snail (if turboed) XXsht (XX=size of spray shot, if sprayed) I like those out of the all of the rest.

Yup, not even going to watch it, would probably piss me off too much.

You're going to have a hell of a time finding a sendan that's as big as you want it and still fit your bike in there. Probably an impossible time if you ask me. The Allroads ARE cool cars, but I'm guessing he doesn't want a wagon. But if he did, go with the 2.7T, it's the same exact engine that is in my car. Very moldable and very strong. I can agree with everyone on the size of the S4 though, if nothing has changed from my car. I'm 5'9", 175lbs. I wouldn't want to be any taller and own the car. Head room is an issue. It's fine normally, but it’s close enough that when I put a helmet on, I don't have enough room. Putting two people very much taller than me in the front and the back makes for less than ideal leg room too. That's really not a problem a majority of the time for me though, so it doesn't detract from the car at all. I stated how much the RS6 was in my post and it was never anywhere near $128K. [ 14. i will now finally introduce myself

Aren't you also the guy that also signed up here about the same time you were having some (unfounded) problems with quite a few of the local RX-7 guys. Many of whom are very well respected around here. And every post you made at first was to try and bash them? -

Werd, what DJ said. I'm a little biased, but if it were me, I'd definitely go test drive a new S4. I'm a little turned off by their styling, and the fact that they are n/a now. But I like my car so much, if I were in that position, I'd have to go test drive one. The chassis is supposed to be worlds better in the car too, which is saying alot. The RS6 MSRP is out of that price range. It competes in every way, shape and form with the M5, including price. BUT, last I heard, they having a very hard time selling them. So, if you shop around, you might be able to get a great deal on one. Another but, they are supposed to sell for 85k, so a great deal might be 70k if you can find a new one lying around. They were made in 2003 though, but mostly sold during the 2004 car season. Just looked up 'true market value' on it, and it is mid 60k, but that's probably assuming slightly used. What do you get for that? A twin turbo 4.2LV8, 450HP@5700rpm and 415ft-lbs@1950rpm! My car makes alot of torque down low like that, and let me tell you, it make the car feel more powerful than it is and very easy to drive around town. You also get the last gen. styling, which I like much better than the styling cues on Audi's new cars. What you don't get is an option to shift your own gears, 5 speed auto only, but I think it's got some auto-stick thing. Whereas with the S4, you get the choice of a 6 speed manual, or a 6 speed auto. That brings me to another point about the new S4 as compared to the M3. Coming from a car that has alot of low end torque, I think you'd feel very put off by the peaky power of the M3. The new S4 doesn't make the torque down as low as the RS6, but it still makes it down fairly low. But it doesn't really make almost 400hp as DJ said. 340@7krmp and 320ft-lbs@3500rpm. But that looks like butter compared to the M3 at 333hp@7500rpm and 262ft-lbs@4500rpm. I noticed you said something about the weight of the SRT-8, not sure how much it weights tough. If you want something as light or lighter than your current car, look elsewhere because the S4 tips the scales just over 3800lbs and the RS6 is in at just over the 4k mark. But my car weighs 3600lbs and doesn't feel like it, so this honestly wouldn't turn me away from going to check out either of those cars. That's my little bit of generic insight on the cars and plug to go test drive them, good luck with whatever you decide to go with! graemlins/thumb.gif Also agreed and fixed. tongue.gif

who ever wants some of this.... cause u will lose
Trouble Maker replied to stolen 5.0's topic in Passing Lane
Lol. I would say that it wouldn't have taken a genius to figure either one of those out, but some people on here are so dense, they'll still be confused. Sorry you had to sell the car for whatever reason. Nice looking car Fowler, have fun with it. I can't wait to see it out in the spring to check it out in person. graemlins/thumb.gif -
Alot of other people must think so too considering the fact that the one S7 from last summer is still sitting up at MAG. How much do those cost?
-
Hmmmm, I'll defintely be there to eat! I'll see what my dad thinks about making his chili.

Because one is basically worthless to me. The intent is to use these for the in car mids/highs and run them as Class A amps. I have four speakers, I want four channels. If I can’t get the one to work I have a few options. Buy another one, get a different amp and miss-match them, or sell them, one still broken. I’d rather not have to do any of those. I will more than likely buy them, I just need to talk to the person who looked at the amps to try and fix them first. Was this amp broken when you sold them to Nic? If so, did you try to fix it at all? Just wondering.

Damn, looks like a hardcore thug. I don't think I'd mess with him.

Well, if you were driving a stolen car and other stolen items, do you think you would consciously try to follow every traffic law to a T?
-
Good job on getting those people, even though the thieves didn't get caught, people will still get their stuff back. I appreciate the job your doing. graemlins/thumb.gif On a different note, why in the hell would you pull a u-turn? I don't, nor ever have done anything like that. But if I were to, I sure as hell wouldn't be pulling u-turns, or doing anything else that could get me pulled over. Then again, if I were to make my living being a thief, I wouldn’t do it stealing car stereos either. I guess no one ever said they were the brightest people in the world. That's pretty funny.

I don't know a ton about Hondas, but for everything I've read, seen, and heard, I really like the ZC engines for that car. Especially if you are going to boost it. IIRC, they can handle about 12# stock. That engine was put in the CRX overseas, so it should be a direct drop in, and they are relatively cheap. Probably not the best engine for spray or n/a if you are wanting a monster though, just not that big of an engine. Once the Honda gurus get in here, it might be useful for them to know what you plan to do with the car and what your goals are.
-
Sure $75 will fix it? If so, I will definitely buy them. I just want to make sure this will give me 4 channels. I don't want it to be unfixable and have to miss-match amps or sell it to get something different.
