I’m in wherever you want to go, I prefer semi-local just because it will be easier, closer, and cheaper. Like Snow Shoe or maybe somewhere in NY. I've got a really bad itch to go somewhere good though. Only place I've been outside of Ohio is Seven Springs. Which I had alot of fun at, but I've gotten much better since then, and AFAIK is nothing compared to Snow Shoe, some places in NY, etc. I've got off from the 17th to the 2nd or 3rd. I also have another two weeks of vacation starting the 1st. So I could take off a couple of days around a weekend. Pretty much whenever, but I'd prefer sometime while I'm already on vacation. Pardon me for my ignorance (despite the fact that this will be my 10th year skiing), but WTF is a level 9? I'll be at MRM as soon as they open, if you really need to see that I can keep up, come on out.

Curb weight (probably the 3300 you are quoting) is the weight of the car wet (all fluids, full tank of gas IIRC). Gross Vehicle Weight (more than likely the 4277 you are quoting), is the Curb weight PLUS passengers and cargo. This is assuming X number of passengers (however many the vehicle is designed to hold) at Y weight, and A amount of weight of cargo per person. Can't remember those exact numbers, but that's how it works.

Remote mounting STS turbo Camaro/Trans-Am
Trouble Maker replied to girlygirl18t's topic in Passing Lane
Hey Eli, that V is volume. For everyone else, this is where Eli got that from. PV=NRT is the actual equation. This is called the ideal gas law. P=Pressure V=Volume N=Number of Mols in the gas, One mol is Avogadro’s number of molecules of whatever, Avogadro’s number=6.02214199 × 10^23. R=Constant T=Temperature I usually think about it like this, R won't change, for the same given sample, N obviously won’t change. So we lose temperature on the way back, what can change? Well Pressure and Volume. A given pressure across a cross sectional area will have a certain velocity. A lower pressure will have slower velocity. Both the Pressure and Volume will drop reducing the CFM of the air flowing through the exhaust side of the turbo making it spool up slower. Side Note, Reducing the cross sectional area raises velocity and raising it reduces the velocity. This is why 'smaller, a/r' turbos spool up quicker, why putting a larger exhaust (all other things being equal) will give you more power up top and less down low, etc. Ok, back to the original topic. Say you have a given sample of a gas; nothing can come out or in. It’s in an elastic box, or lets say a balloon, that nothing can move in or out of. Our First situation is as follows P1*V1=N1*R1*T1 Our Second situation is as follows P2*V2=N2*R2*T2 Well, if the second situation is the same sample as the first, with just some parameters changed, there are certain things that cannot change. That once again is N and R. So N1=N2 and R1=R2 So First equation: P1*V1=N1*R1*T1 Or P1*V1/T1=N1*R1 Second equation: P2*V2=N2*R2*T2 Or P2*V2/T2=N2*R2 Since N1=N2 and R1=R2, then N1*R1=N2*R2 So P2*V2/T2=N2*R2= N1*R1=P1*V1/T1 Or P2*V2/T2=P1*V1/T1 We can easily think about how the temperature is going to drop, and measure that (EGT gauge). So that equation can be re written as T2/T1=P2*V2/P1*V1 If T2 is lower than T1 then T2/T1 is going to be something lower than 1. And that kids, is your chemistry/physics class for the day. And if I didn’t make any damn sense, here’s a better explanation. tongue.gif http://wine1.sb.fsu.edu/chm1045/notes/Gases/IdealGas/Gases04.htm -
Damn right, just stay the hell out of my way!

Welcome to my world again. The worst is on 142 North of 70 out West of Columbus. It's 50 and I do 60, I always seem to get stuck behind people doing 40. I can't tell you how frustrating that is, especially on a Friday afternoon. There aren’t very man passing zones at all on that road either.

Your thoughts and opinions on taking in a room mate
Trouble Maker replied to excell's topic in Dumpster
Then the lock could be understandable. You can't inherently trust whoever he brings in the house, and I'm sure he would understand that. I would explain it like you just did. I'm just saying if I moved into someone’s house and saw that, or saw them putting that in, it would put me a little off and could start things off on a bad foot. But if they explained it in such a light before they put it in, or I saw it and said something, I would completely understand. This ties in with what Adam just said. Communication is important in any relationship: friends, dating, and roommates. If you lay down some ground rules, and talk about things that bother you when they pop up, things will be much better than just letting it bottle up. -
Lol, they don't want to lose any more?

Trouble Maker replied to excell's topic in Dumpster
I see a common string of people saying you must be able to trust him, and you say you do. But in a very early reply you said something about having to keep your shit in your office locked away. Even going as far to put an outdoor lock on it (compared to the easy to pick indoor locks). I see those as being conflicting statements. You should be able to trust this person enough that you don’t need to lock any doors in your house (imho). Let alone have to put a different lock on a door. Personally, if I moved in with a friend and they did that, I would be a little offended by it. -
Welcome to my world whenever I try to drive. I have come to the conclusion that I attract assholes that try to run into me.

I was thinking the same thing. Kind of like that guy who has the cloth, light weight, flack jackets that shoots him self to prove they work. It's alot more than that. Even the most experienced, skilled, worker can make a mistake. This product has a huge application in the work place/schools. If an accident happens there, it's not just 'oh, look at that dumb ass', it's 'oh, look at that lawsuit and raised insurance premiums/not being able to get insurance anymore.' For instance, a guy that was on NPR was talking about a place he owned/was a manager at (or something to that effect). He's got guys working in there for basically peanuts doing a job a monkey could do and has guys coming in there hung over. That's a problem waiting to happen. And don’t say get guys that don’t come in drunk because with some fields, realistically, that won't happen.

If he's a good friend, someone that you get along well with, i say go for it. I think everyone should live with another person like that at some point in their life, and I bet it will make for some very fun times. One thing to think about though, even thought it is your house, he is living there too so you will have to be willing to compromise. I've never seen your house before, but one thing that can make it ALOT easier is if you have separate bathrooms. Another thing is that if you've never lived with someone before, it could be hard at first. Would you rather have your first experience of living with someone be a friend who you can get pissed off at/piss them off, or a g/f down the road? It could be a very good learning experience in that respect. -

Remote mounting STS turbo Camaro/Trans-Am
Trouble Maker replied to girlygirl18t's topic in Passing Lane
A turbo correctly sized for 700hp on a 5.7L engine spooling up at 4500rpm is horrible. That's quite a bit of displacement to spool the turbo up. What's the stock rev limiter on the LS1 (in f-body or Corvette's)? I'm just wondering on a totally stock car how long you'd be in full boost for. I'm guessing its low enough that when you shift your below 4500rpm's again. [ 12. December 2004, 07:41 PM: Message edited by: Neo ] -
Remote mounting STS turbo Camaro/Trans-Am
Trouble Maker replied to girlygirl18t's topic in Passing Lane
Ok, I believe that it is a VERY bad idea to put the turbo where they put it, and would never get that product. However, is there anyone that has used this thing and gotten good results? Like someone on COFBA or any other f-body websites, or someone with their own website, who appear to be fairly unbiased who have used this thing with good results? I don't expect anyone will actually show dyno graphs that show good results, because I don't think there are any out there, but I figured I'd ask first. -
http://www.sawstop.com/video.htm Dad showed me this yesterday, heard a story about it on the radio (NPR). Pretty crazy.

Eibach Springs - 98+ Audi A4, VW Passat V6
Trouble Maker replied to zeitgeist57's topic in LBTS GLWS
Opp, forgot it was fwd. No, the setups are different, struts in the back, not separate springs and shocks. IRS. I did some research anyways. I think the AWD A4's Eibachs are different than the S4's. The S4 Eibach springs are only slightly stiffer than stock, but lower too. I think the A4 Eibach springs might actually be less stiff than my stock springs. I'm retarded, I should have known this was for the Passat and it's fwd. -
Other movies that make you say 'damn, that was fucked up': Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Butterfly Effect, 21 Grams. I have 21 Grams and asked for the other two for Christmas, hopefully I get them. I was debating whether I wanted to see this or not, all of the previews are kind of ambiguous as to the type of story it is. I think I will go see it now. Is the not very smart one cute? That is as long as you're not talking about your g/f (I hope not!).

Will these work on the S4 (assuming they will, but need to ask)? I'm assuming these are the 'ProKit' springs Did you use these on stock shocks? -
FYI, that's about right, if not downright cheap for the Bahamas.

get that turbo and mainfold from Big Ben and put it on there graemlins/thumb.gif

For those who don't know, the Infocus X1 is an excellent projector for HT and Presentations for the price. Most won’t do both, especially in this price range, this one does. It was marketed and designed as a presentation projector, but is very well known amongst HT circles as the projector that made it affordable to have a kick ass front projector. Properly setup, in a light controlled room, I guarantee you won't be able to touch anything that looks this good for many times this price. Not to mention, you can have a huge screen. I have a different projector in mind down the road (something with a little higher resolution and a DVI/HDMI input), or I'd be all over this. [ 09. December 2004, 04:26 PM: Message edited by: Neo ]

I went and looked and he was on there and it said 5000 still, so I got that and was going to come back and edit if you hadn't replied yet. So I was just thinking a little slow.
