Ah, ok. I see it now. Was Space Ghost able to see that somewhere I wasn't looking? Or did he mistakenly think 5000 people meant that the new person was necessarily member #5000? Or does it automatically increment before they are approved?
-
Did you delete that account (#5000), because all's I see is #4999 (69 Nova) and the profiles are not the same?
-
Odd, if you click on that persons name, despite that the counter above it says there are 5000 members, their profile says they are #4999. So they aren't really #5000.

French tanks have 6 speeds. 5 in reverse and one in forward in case anyone attacks them from behind. What worse than a French person? A French Canadian.

14 year old boy, accused of raping 10 year old boy..wtf?
Trouble Maker replied to zepplica's topic in Dumpster
I woulnd't assume, but it is defintely a possibility. I would say the younger the person is as things like this are manifisted, then yes, it is more than likely just a pre-disposed pyschological dissorder. Something that not very much could have been done to stop. But as a person gets older, I believe that it can be more of a nurtre over natuer thing. Not to say that a person can be perfectly normal, then have a triger when they are older. It's just that when they are very young that is true(I think younger, maybe much younger, than 14). -
Yeah, don't worry about it, me too. I hope you can tell from the tongue.gif that I was just taking the opportunity to bust your balls? If you’re that damn bored, you should have gone to the link, saved yourself the embarrassment. graemlins/lol.gif

Ok, I posted this thread so I feel I have the right to bash Shawn over you two, thanks though for sticking up for me. Did you even read my post num nuts??!!? Obviously not. Dear god, even just looking at the topic you should know it wasn’t the same. Way to make yourself look like a retard. tongue.gif Why don't you quit posting and go eat some paste or something?

http://www.gigapxl.org/ Started talking with the "Photo Guru" at work about the 2.5 Giga Pixel pic and he told me about this, just sent me the link. Kind of neat because it was done with a film large format camera with one shot! That’s a huge jump compared to the 600 it took for the 2.5 Giga Pixel pic with the digital camera. Site isn't as fun because you can't move around the pictures, but some of the pictures are very neat, as is the process and technology they used during the process.

Mowgil, the card has to 'break' in order to get it replaced right? And to add to that, it has to be a manufactures defect? Even if it 'broke', and looked to not be 'abuse' after a year, wouldn't they still replace it with the same card (cards just don't go away after a year). Or do you get the original purchase price at that point to buy whatever you want? I've had really bad luck with extended warranties from brick and mortar stores and don't trust them. That's why I'm so questioning.

Yeah, what he said.

I bet the 6 (5.1) channel direct input bypasses what might be wrong. Just popped into my head, thanks for planting the seed Keith. Will try to see what that does when I get home. I could use it as a 5-channel amp then. I would still really like to use it as a real receiver, but at least it might not be useless. graemlins/thumb.gif

Haha, the guy at work said half of the guys that used to work at SUN went there. Electrasound is an 'Onkyo Authorized Service Center', fyi, if you didn't know. I asked him if it would be a bad idea to go there and he just gave me one of 'those looks', as if I even had to ask with the stories he's told me. I'm not even going to dump the 50-75 it would take (probably) for them to diagnosis it. Let alone, if there is an IC that needs replaced, even more money. I'd bet it would cost $100-$200 to fix, just off of the top of my head. Not worth putting that money into a four year old $500 receiver, when I can just put that toward a new receiver (that I was looking to purchase anyways). Please don't take offense if you've had good luck with them and/or know anyone who works there. It's just like my car, no one but me or trusted friends work on it if I can help it. I might call them anyways just to see what they might cost. It will probably be one of those ‘well, it can be anywhere from a small ass raping to a big one, but we won’t know till we get it in and charge you half of that small ass raping to diagnosis it.’

It currently switches between inputs, but sometimes one input will work, you switch to another one, then nothing works, even if you switch back. I believe it might be the DSP chip, because when I turned it on last night, an analog input worked fine (which still goes through the DSP, even in stereo for crossover between mains and sub, but I always run in "5 channel stereo" anyways). I switched to a coax digital input to see if it would auto detect the DD signal and got nothing. When I switched it back to the analog input, there was still nothing coming out of the speakers. This thing doesn't have a tape loop or I'd try that. Everything goes through the switching/DSP circuitry (AFAIK). I had not tried all inputs, but I'm pretty confident that the symptoms will be the same on all analog inputs (working for a little bit, then nothing). And the same on all digital sources (stops working all together). FYI, some newer receivers that are 'higher end' that do alot of DSP have an input they call a 'direct input' which bypasses all of that. Not to say your assessment is wrong, it is more than likely an IC, something dealing with the preamp stages. I'm ordering (well, actually Satan is because I don't have a pay pal account) a FSM from www.thecdguyz.com for $10!! It's not too extensive (only 29 pages), but appears to have most schematics and board drawings along with some diagnostic instructions. It is the FSM straight from Onkyo though; they just aren't super through with them I guess. It's on a CD in PDF format too, so that makes it nice. Should be here within 2 weeks (I guess they just take forever to deliver). I will post any updates as I make progress (or lack thereof).

I hope everyone who currently owns a Z06 does that too, cheaper C5's and Z06's for us. graemlins/nod.gif

Yup, Jim Anderson. Tall, kind of lanky, dark semi curly hair. IIRC (but I'm bad at connecting names with faces). I know the other name, but can't connect a face to it off of the top of my head. I think I have a year book around here somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it up. Everyone knew everyone there. We only had a class of something like 160.

Ingore all of my ideas and go with this one.

Just think of some tools both of you could use. Has he said anything lately about computer stuff he wants? Go to Anthony Thomas and get him some small thing of Dark Chocolate as a stocking stuffer. Any books about planes? Just go to a book store and look around, there will more than likely be a few really cool historical books about planes with very nice pictures in them.
