  1. Most people on here who will go probably have passes to Mad River. Lets wait till it looks like it's supposed to get cold again and plan something for a Saturday Day. It looks like the 13th-14th it should get cold enough again, but that's a long time away to trust a forecast. Oh yeah, name somewhere for a long weekend and I'm there. I think I want to go to Snow Shoe this winter, but as long as the place is supposed to be good, I'll go.
  2. Because 98% of the people who will buy this car will buy it based on it's actually ability to go fast. Almost everyone who buys this car, or just about any other car in America will buy it based on a few things. I won't go into what I think these major categories are, but how a person will judge if the care meets their criteria in those categories. Even though Americans are stupid when it comes to car buying. In most cases, in America and other countries. It usually comes down to a car being first, something to get around in. And secondly a status symbol (sometimes the other way around). So neglecting how well it gets around: does it drive nice, what kind of gas mileage does it get, is there enough room inside, it comes down to appearance. How is the car perceived? Not how the person buying the car perceives it, but how do the people around him or her perceive it. Younger people might think a Cavalier Z24 or Civic Si looks good and performs well. 'Older' people who grew up in the muscle car era might think a Corvette looks good and performs well. People with a little money might think a BMW 5 series or something of the like looks good and performs well. People with alot of money might think an Aston Marti DB7 looks good and performs well. I didn't pick any of these cars for any particular reason except for, generally speaking, the fit a particular demography for new car buyers. All of these cars do certain things well, and possible other things not so well. In short, it doesn't matter what they actually do, but what people perceive that they can do. Because a vast majority of people will never push the car anyways. This commercial was made to make the car look mean (because it actually has pretty 'soft' styling, imho), and to get the car on TV. No one wants a ‘soft performance car’. How many commercials have a car just driving down a country road, or down a street in the middle of a city? They might do some other marketing gimmick attached to this, but this is a secondary objective. The primary is to get the car on TV, period. So is it great marketing? No. Great marketing to me is something you’ve never seen before, something that will stick into your mind for a week when you only saw the commercial once. But it is good, proven marketing, and it works. Edit: I almost said something about this car having suicide back doors. How that make it a cooler car, before I even watched the video. And the showed that in the commercial. Yeah, they add a little convenience. But afaik, no one on this board owns one so that doesn't really matter. How cool do you think they are? I know when I first saw one driving down a road, that popped into my head.
  3. You can try NAPA too, that's where I usually get mine from.
  4. Ok, I guess I'm watching it at Luckys per Mike's decree. tongue.gif

    Flaming!

Yeah, just keep filing reports. After half a dozen of them, one of two things can happen. The cops will get so pissed that they have to keep dealing with her, she will get a nice visit at her house that will scare even her. Or you might have to file a restraining order. I don’t know how much it would take to do this, but I want to think 3 or 4 reports like this would be more than enough. [ 29. December 2004, 06:33 PM: Message edited by: Neo ]

Umm, maybe that's why he didn't see the sarcasm.
  7. I think it would be pretty obvious from the subject and body of the start of this thread that I wasn't under the impression that it was only 1 day, maybe a 'little' longer.

    BAN, personal threat.
  9. Now that's a good question. Honestly, I'm not directly involved so I'm not going to stick my nose any further than I have into it by creating this thread. All's I know is two of the three original SMC members that were left just got banned for nothing (pretty much), and no one really knows about it, because that would look bad. And I'm not too happy about that. Well see if this gets an explanation.
  10. I live in Valleyview and we have our own plow, so yes, it's been plowed pretty much the whole time. graemlins/thumb.gif
  11. I won't drive the S4 in this stuff with the tires it has on it very far, or on any highways (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's). I can accelerate as slow as I need to, but getting going up hill, on turns, or stopping, is a bit of an issue. This issue is almost all tire. I need to get some all seasons.
  12. Well, for one, she probably has some psychological blocks. I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess she’s not that experienced (if at all before you). You could just 'plow' through them, so to say, by just keeping doing what you are doing. Or you can actually talk about it and try to work through it. Number two, and I'll be dead honest with everyone here. I'm decent, but I'm not stallion in the sack. But, if you (I) really try to focus on pleasing the girl, then you (I) usually will. Try to focus on making her fell good, and you have to really want to, not to just try. This is sexually and in other ways. Hints of the day: Full body massages. The tongue and the fingers can be as important as the wang. To the topic at hand, i could only try. I honestly can't say for sure if I could do it or not.
  13. Did the game in 20, it was pretty damn fun.
  14. Pics worked for me. I was out washing my car one day this last summer and some sort of Hawk swooped down into the bush that's at the end of the driveway going after another smaller bird. There was some rustling in the bush, and then the Hawk took off. Didn’t get a good enough of a look to see if the Hawk had anything or not. It was pretty neat to watch, you just don’t see birds like that in the city too often.
  15. graemlins/wtf.gif You must be doing something wrong.
  16. Do I see some extra frame in the top portion of the car....? They went all out. That is going to be one STIFF chassis. Someone else at my work heard a rumor that they were going to do a drop top version in the future, me thinks not now (for the record I was very skeptical). This car is so much more different than the regular C6, than the C5 Z06 was to the regular C5. I think it's a very cool and radical step to take. Hello $150k+ super car killer for ~$70k, very nice to meet you. graemlins/thumb.gif
  17. In. Despite being a skier, I usually stick around the park too. If I wander off somewhere else for a while, I'll just do it on my own. We are talking earlier in the day right? This can't cut into any drinking time.
  18. The more (snow), the better. And I am defintely in for some snow tubing. graemlins/thumb.gif
  19. I'm not super versed in what Supras can do, but I think 600whp out of that on pump gas would be very decent. AFAIK, you get much past that on power and you have to use race gas, just simple physics. Although the methanol will do (part of) the same thing, but I don't know how much farther you can push it, in general, by injecting methanol. I want to think that the methanol itself doesn't raise the overall octane that much, and doesn't do nearly as much as race gas would (or just putting some toluene/zylene (sp?) in your gas).
  20. That is NOT a big turbo Supra, contrary to the title of this thread. Not to say that 600hp in a Supra still doesn't make for a stupid fast ride. It's just doesn't take a 'big' turbo, in terms of a Supra, to make that kind of power. Cool vids.
