  1. They would just void peoples warranties for (legally) racing it or deny re-compensation on fixed center diffs for racing (when that is a safety recall). Great company I tell you. I wouldn’t care what car they came out with, I probably would never buy from them.
  2. That's actually one of my huge pet peeves with the way a girl can look. If you have dark hair, fine, keep it that way. Don't dye blond and have really dark roots and really dark eyelashes. It looks horrible.
  3. Wow, she looks kind of beat in that picture.
  4. Chill with the keyboard warrior shit. It's never impressed anyone (coming from anyone, not just you). You know I think you're pretty cool in person, I hope you and me and your brother get a chance to go skiing again this winter. I'm sure there are plenty of other people in this thread who don't have a problem with you at all. I just think you have some messed up views in some areas, this being one of them.
  5. Very much so, consider me in. Although I'm not too keen on going up there on a 'party' weekend, lots of drunk people. While this is usually a good thing, generally speaking. I'm a firm believe that inebriation and skiing/snowboarding mix about as well as drinking and driving.
  6. That's the only thing I'm a sissy about when it comes to skiing. Cold wind hitting my eyes=instantaneous massive amounts of watering. I've turned around driving to go back and get my goggles before. Spend some money on good goggles if you are going to use them. I got these last summer for $35. Shopping for ski stuff in the summer is where it's at. graemlins/thumb.gif Anyone want to go to MRM tomorrow? I'll probably be going.
  7. Nope. Dual layer is just what it sounds, there are two layers on one side, making up ~8GB of space (IIRC, that might be a little off). Right now they are calling the dual layer ones DVD+R DL, so it must be written similarly to DVD+R's (just assuming). I remember someone saying that there's going to be a competing format called DVD-R DL in the future, but I've heard noting of it since then. IIRC + or - has to do with how the info is physically written on the disk, but that's something I'm remembering from an article a long time ago, so it could be off. What really matters is that you know they are different and not compatible. Most (home) DVD players that will play burnt DVD's like -R/-RW's, but you'll just have to look at the specs to see which one it likes. The one we got for my dad for Christmas will play -R's and +R's. Sometimes you have to play with different media too, because some DVD players can be picky about that. I think all of the one's I've seen (as of late) will do both + and -. Only a few out on the market now will do the dual layer stuff yet (but the media is still expensive).
  8. Yup, he's a bible thumper. tongue.gif Marc, could you beat some sense into your brother?
  9. Saying a newer, better codec, is unnecessary is like saying CD's were unnecessary over tapes and MP3's were unnecessary over CD's. redface.gif
  10. Double check to make sure that you don't have to color cables switched, the Pr, Pb lines <~ I bet that's it. You could have it plugged into a 5 line input, H, V, R, G, B. Those inputs are usually used for HDTV, but I believe they sometimes double them and you can change a setting, or it will auto switch between an H, V, R, G, B input and a 'component' input, Sync, Pr, Pb. Although I think if you did that, you couldn't get a discernable picture. I FUCKING HATE UBB! It wouldn't let me use parenthesis.
  11. Wow that is a beautiful car. Looks like we are going to see alot of cool stuff up at the show, I can't wait! graemlins/thumb.gif
  12. It's not just being courteous, it's called having a brain. They are carrying 10's of thousands of tons. It's simple physics, you get hit by that and you are getting fucked up.
  13. Haha! Crip walking, that's funny shit. I used to hang out with this guy who could do that really good, funny as shit when we went out to clubs.
  14. True story. This guy posted this right after getting home from the bar with us.
  15. I didn't know you belonged to that religion too! I go to the one on the Westside of town. Do you go to the one up North? We'll have to go to each others service sometime.
  16. When people don't log out of their computers at work they always get messed with. One classic is to take a snapshot of the desktop, make it the wallpaper, then take all of their icons and randomly put them into the blank spots of the wallpaper. Interview With An Honest Boss That is a flash thing on the Hallmark website, so 100% work safe.
  17. Go read some of the links that were posted about the origin of Christmas. Or better yet, just go out to Google or your favorite search engine and fine them for yourself. Hint: Alot of the Christian based sites that come up denounce the tradition of Christmas based upon where it came from and even quote some scripture against it (both direct and indirect).
  18. The account was hijacked by someone to try to scam people selling a car for very cheap (much less than it should go for). Some poor smuk thinks they are about to get a killer deal so they send the deposit, with almost no questions asked, and then they never hear from the person. Generally speaking the accounts that are hijacked have sold a decent amount, but not recently. And, like most larger eBay accounts, they specialize in a certain thing, which usual has nothing to do with cars and are small dollar items. In this case, the account had sold cars before, first time I've ever seen that. Rare cars at that, so this auction will look less suspicious. MKIV Supras are wanted by so many twits that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground since TF&TF that they are probably the most common car to have the scam based on. eBay will not admit to any of the scamming problems they have, because they don't want to do anything to fix it. So when something like this pops up, they aren't going to stop the auction and say 'account hijacked'. Instead they do something else, like have the seller retract the auction saying 'item was lost or stolen'.
  19. Hahhahaha. From here, which is a good read, btw about the Christmas topic. "Mom, Dad, can we erect the Christmas tree tonight?"

We went to a bar afterwards, you should have come out.
  21. Yeah, I'm not quite that high. But I should be fine on anything east of Colorado and south of Whistler. You should come out to MRM sometime and teach me some more technical stuff. I've always just watched others and taught myself. Never skied with anyone that much better than me. Seven Springs is fun, but It wasn't challenging when I was 17 in my third year of skiing, and the runs aren't very long. It's like a big MRM or Snow Trails that goes over both sides of a hill. Not too bad for the drive, but I want alot more than that this time.
