It's really a shame the SQ5 haven't been out for a few more years to come down in price. It's an S4 in an SUV size, it's really a hoot to drive despite it being AT. The 8 AT in that car is a great transmission and combined with what they do on engine control side to make the shifts as quick as possible, it's as close as you will get to a DCT with an AT, but with the benefits in other areas of an AT. I might even say that I like that engine with the 8HP better than with the 7DCT in the S4 (which is supposed to be better than the 6MT, but I've not driven that combo). It's also a bummer they didn't upgrade a few other things somewhere in the chassis to tow more. Since every engine is rated at 4400#s, I'm sure the limit is somewhere other than the engine and brakes.

How much do you think you would need to tow? Used 2014 Audi SQ5 is touching hi 50s and it's a great car. ZF 8hp trans (really good trans) with a tuned up s4 engine and brakes that could stop a semi. Unfortunately it only tows 4200#s. I'm not sure what the limiting factor but it surely isn't grunt or brakes.

I've been wanting a sporty convertible, so this thread made me think about 2 door 335i convertibles. I guess I just don't see a hard top convertible as a real convertible. They are more than I want to spend anyways so it's a bit of a moot point.

4 door... Did you find out about a 4 year old kid you didn't know about until recently? Looks nice. When and what upgrades are you doing?

You'll be fine. If you did what every $35k millionaire on here would suggest and get winter and summer tires for it, they would probably dry rot before you got to the wear bars with how many miles you put on them. Thought I do agree with Doc also. Get a not so extreme winter tire and you should be fine.

I've been lusting after something small and light with a motorcycle (based?) engine pretty much ever since I first saw the H1 engine. Really even the inline 4 with some tweaks, n/a with individual TBs & trumpets would be amazeballs.

Sticker on an Eco boost with track pack and recaro seats is $30k. Seems like a a pretty awesome car on paper for the price. The very tiny bit I have read makes it seem like it might not be a jump up on stock form from the v6, which is surprising and a little sad. But that's nothing a chip can't fix. New TLX is something to check out

It's for my cousins car and it's the size he sent me. It's a mid-late 90s accord but it does have aftermarket rims so it could really have anything on it. I will have to take a look at what it has on it when I see him next. Really he just needs something cheap to replace his bad tires so probably anything around the correct size, whatever that is, will work.
